Introduction to WordGigs Web site: WordGigs I just compiled a big list of potential websites to join from those “top 10 ways to get paid to write” lists. Apparently, some of them are quite old. Normally I’d just skip this one, but rather than waste everyone else’s time signing up (like I did), I’ll just […]
Online Writing Jobs Reviews
The core of my job every day is just writing, writing, writing. That's why I'm super confused why natural writers will sell their work online. Inside my head I'm screaming, "You could be making bank with your own affiliate website!
To each his own I guess, and some people like the stability of getting paid each week rather than hoping for some traffic and affiliate sales.
Writers are the lifeblood of online commerce, so there's tons of gigs out there. However, there are a lot of scams as well, and somewhere in the middle there are just crappy jobs that don't pay very much and are unsatisfying.
These articles are a mix of reviews I've done of writing gigs (or outsourced them to writers for them to review). Some are website which claim to pay you for articles, while others are portals where you can source writing gigs.
My favorite is UpWork, and that's what I use to hire writers, but from a writer's perspective, you may prefer other platforms.

Textbroker Review For Writers: Lots of Writing Jobs, Low Pay
Introduction to Textbroker This was a no-nonsense, functional site. Although Textbroker would certainly not be used to sell fashion products (i.e. the website is lacking in any modern design elements), it will provide some work to writers who want to turn around a quick buck. I did get work from Textbroker, which was not too […]
Constant Content Review: A Money-Maker for Some, But Not Me
Constant Content is discerning in their selection of writers. Long story short, and sadly to tell you the truth, I didn’t get any jobs. I was not accepted into their crew of writers and no reason was given for the rejection. I’d still like to write a review of Constant Content from the perspective of […]
iWriter Review: Does The Inviting Design Reflect The Quality Of Work Offered?
Introduction to iWriter The web site looks very professional with mostly clear and functional actions. After three days I scored a $3 job. This site is not the most welcoming to new writers. People new to freelancing may find iWriter discouraging because the pay is so low and jobs can be difficult to nail down. […]
StudioD Review: Couldn’t Land A Writing Position!
GENERAL LOOK OF WEBSITE Apply: https://create.studiod.com/application.html StudioD had a very basic look. I wasn’t even sure if this website was actually a way to apply for freelance writing jobs, or if the website was still active. As usual, I just grabbed this site from a listicle showing ways to make money writing online, so didn’t know […]
Love to Know Review: Can You Make Money Writing Here?
GENERAL LOOK OF WEBSITE Sign up: http://www.lovetoknow.com/Careers/careers.html At first glance, I wasn’t sure if Love To Know was still an operating website. It didn’t look up to date – almost like something out of the early 2000’s. Everything had a “advertising” feel to it as well. But after checking the rankings with my tracking tool, […]
The Dollar Stretcher Writing Assignment Review: Pass!
Editors note: This is a slightly incomplete review because it became clear that this was not a consistent writing job as previously thought. I’ll leave it up, as-is, because I’m sure some of you out there followed the same blogs and links I did, and may be considering trying to get paid by The Dollar […]
OneSpace Review: Another Freelance Writer Application Bites The Dust
GENERAL LOOK OF WEBSITE Apply Here: https://www.onespace.com/freelancers/ OneSpace looks like a professional gig! They’ve got things organized into a client and freelancer side, and it’s very easy to find where to apply. The site is populated with high quality images, big bold text, and is easy to navigate. Were you successful landing a job No! […]
Skyword Review: Tough To Land Work Without Prior Experience
Skyword is a platform that offers software solutions and freelance talent for clients to create and manage their branding and content strategy. Their niche is storytelling, branding and content creation according to specific parameters defined by the client. If you don’t have the requisite work experience already, you are not going to get an opportunity […]
Ebyline Review: Good For Journalists & Experienced Writers To Grow Their Personal Brand
If you’re an experienced journalist looking for another platform to showcase your work and expand your circle, Ebyline may be the place for you. If you haven’t been published in a known national or international publication you’re out of luck unless you want to pitch editors on spec…which you can do on your own without […]
