Welcome to your free affiliate training. My name is Nathaniell, and I've been doing affiliate blogging for 10 years now. I've generated a ton of money doing this stuff, and I'm going to teach it to you for free.
Why?
I'm not really sure actually. I guess I could make more money if I packaged it into a course and sold it for $997 or something like that but I'm more interested in selling the tools you'll need to build your business than actually selling the business strategy.
Some of this stuff will cost you money, but I'll teach you the techniques for free. Seems pretty fair, right?
One cool thing about the course I've laid out here is that I do things quite a bit differently than a lot of other people who also do affiliate blogging. I'm very lazy when it comes to running my business, and focus on cutting away garbage I don't need so that my own business can run smoothly.
That means I'm only going to show you how to do the important stuff which actually gets results.
Beginner Affiliate Blogger Training Lessons 1 – 8
What I've got laid out in Level 1 here is the most interesting part of building an income-generating affiliate blog. You'll have the opportunity to be creative and choose what you want your online business to be about.
However, there's a lot of new things to learn as well, so there will be some big challenges too. If this is your first time building a website (website = blog), then you may want to spend six months or more on these lessons.
Of course, work ethic and free time will vary, so you could probably power through these in a month if you really tried. Keep in mind though finishing quickly doesn't guarantee success. Making money from your blog will require a lot of trial and error, even with these lessons as guidance.
Goals For This Affiliate Blogging Course
First off, I need a snappy name for this course. What should I call it? I've just been calling it the “affiliate blogging course” because that's what it teaches, but maybe I need something cooler like “Instant Riches 2.0” or “The Quit Your Job Formula”. Something like that.
Anyway, for now, it has a boring name, but the goal is pretty exciting.
I want teach you to build a blog and make as much money online as you want.
In order to do that, you will learn how to:
- Build a website
- Publish content
- Get your content discovered in search engines
- Promote affiliate products within your content
Notice that the word content appears three times in that list. Your #1 goal will be to publish articles (AKA content) on your blog. This is the value you provide, and it's a core element to why you get paid.
You can bootstrap your business and write everything yourself like most people do (I did this for many years), or you can outsource everything if you have a budget. I recommend bootstrapping for a while even if you have a budget so you can get a good idea of what you're paying for if/when you start to outsource.
Lesson 1: Picking Your Niche (Topic)
In Lesson 1 you'll learn how to pick a “niche” or topic for your website. This is the fun part. Any niche topic can make money, so pick something you think is interesting.
Lots of people freak out right away because they are worried that their idea sucks and they'll waste their time. Two important things to keep in mind if that is an accurate description of yourself right now.
One. It's OK to build a failed blog, or a couple of failed blogs at first. Nobody is an overnight success, including myself.
Two. It's possible to have a decent idea which just needs to be tweaked to turn it into an awesome idea. If you have an idea, go with it, and you can improve it over time. This is explained in the training.
So just go for it. Go with your first idea and see what happens.
Lesson 2: Getting A Domain & Web Hosting
In Lesson 2 you'll learn about the guts of your website, which are the domain name and the hosting. This is the main thing you need to spend money on to run your business. It's how your website is able to exist on the internet.
In short, the domain is your website address, and the hosting is where your website files are stored.
Lesson 3: How To Build Your Blog
In Lesson 3 you'll see how to actually build your blog. This is super easy now. Gone are the days of hand coding websites, and everything is done with push-button tech. You do not need to know how to code to make money with your blog.
Surprisingly, the blog building software is free (WordPress), and there are 10,000+ free designs you can work with.
Lesson 4: How To Get Traffic To Your Blog
In Lesson 4 I'll talk about why traffic is so important, and three main methods of getting traffic to your blog. Personally, I only use on one of them for my own business, so that will be the focus of this course.
I'll also show you how to track your traffic stats.
Traffic is going to be a main thing to focus on to grow your income over time, so we'll dig in deeper into traffic stuff in the intermediate course.
Lesson 5: Why Keyword Research Is Important (And Basic Techniques)
In Lesson 5 I'll teach you the basics of keyword research, which is a core element to running a successful affiliate blog. This is how you discover what people are searching for, so you can write articles people want to read.
There are many ways to do keyword research. This is just a basic introduction, and I'll dig in deeper into more techniques in the Level 2 affiliate training.
Lesson 6: How To Find Affiliate Programs
In Lesson 6 you'll learn how to find companies that will pay you to advertise their products on your blog. In short, you're a freelance advertiser paid on commission.
There are 10,000's of affiliate programs across all industries. There are digital and physical products. There are big companies and small businesses you can work with. Many famous products you know and love such as Amazon, Blue Apron, Uber, Nike, Home Depot, and Walmart have affiliate programs you can promote, but there are even more small businesses you will discover as you do your research.
The number of affiliate programs grows daily, meaning you have an ever increasing number of options for products to promote. You get to pick which companies and products are worth your time.
Lesson 7: How To Promote Affiliate Products & Make Money
In Lesson 7 I'll show you how to actually find products worth promoting. There are tons of companies and products to promote, but which ones will be best for making money. Plus, what types of products have made me the most money and some mistakes to avoid as a beginner.
Lesson 8: Recap of Lessons 1-7
Lesson 8 is a recap of Lessons 1-7. The core elements of your business are complete. Surprised? You now are an online business owner and affiliate marketer.
Even though you probably aren't making money yet, you have set up your business and you are ready to start building up from the foundation you set.
