I've been creating affiliate websites since 2010, and have been relying on income from my online businesses full time since 2012. I've spent over $20,000 purchasing and reviewing different products in the MMO (make money online) space, and have personally written hundreds of thousands of words on the topic.
Here are my favorite courses for learning how to make money online.
What Does Each Course Do Best?
- Wealthy Affiliate – Thriving community of newbies and experts building affiliate websites for long term, reliable income
- The Authority Site System – Pick the perfect niche and grow it to earn six figures per year with content creation and link building
I've consistently ranked Wealthy Affiliate as my #1 recommended product for 12 years. They are where I learned to build my first WordPress website, and they dragged my newbie ass all the way from $0 to six figures in less than two years.
What they teach works, and will show you how to build a long term, reliable income stream from affiliate websites.
They aren't for everyone though! The main complaint I hear about Wealthy Affiliate is that they are “too simple”. Many people enjoy the busy work involved with building backlinks, doing outreach, guest posting, and other technical things. My philosophy is basically, sure some of those things work some of the time, but essentially the #1 thing search engines want you to do is to create quality content for users, so that's what I focus on.
Basically, the main other course I recommend is The Authority Site System (TASS). It's also a stellar course, and one of the all-time top recommended courses for affiliate blogging. They are much more targeted towards people who enjoy the technical side of affiliate marketing, and who may want to even launch their own products in the future.
WA and TASS are two similar, but different products. Different audience. Different price structure. Different communities. I recommend you read the full comparison to see which type of learning environment speaks to you more.
