Affiliate Program Reviews
Not all affiliate programs are good! After 10 years in the biz, I've had my share of problems with affiliate programs. Big problems.
The first time I had an issue was when a company stopped paying on time. I got sassy with them, so they just deleted my account. Losing $2500 and having to redo all of my affiliate promotions was devastating at the time. Lessons learned. Don't sass the bank before you get paid.
The second big issue I had was when I sold a couple of my websites. My main-earning affiliate program refused to transfer the recurring affiliate commissions to the new site owner. $1500/month with a 24x multiple for the sale is a loss of $36,000. Shit. That upset me.
But what are you gonna do.
So these affiliate program reviews are no joke. Part of our review process is to look for negative comments online, and also check out how long the program has been around.
Most of the times, affiliate programs are legit though. It's pretty rare to get screwed over like those two examples above.
The content in these reviews is stuff like how to sign up, navigation of the affiliate area, and how to create tracking links with the tools they provide (if any).
Perhaps the most useful part of the reviews is the affiliate tips sections, where I cover website ideas and tips for promoting your affiliate links. Of course, my entire website is about making money through affiliate marketing, so be sure to check out the menu area for helpful links.
