This was an interesting site that I got turned-on to as I continue to search the internet for ways to earn extra cash. But can you really make money with the Esearch Survey Website?
On the landing page, the site (located at Esearch.com) says this about their purpose…
Are You Ready To Work Your Ass Off to Earn Your Lifestyle?
Are you tired of the daily grind? With a laptop and an internet connection I built a small website to generate income, and my life completely changed. Let me show you exactly how I’ve been doing it for more than 13 years.
“Esearch.com needs YOU, your friends, your family members, your business associates – everyone – to voice your opinions. Companies across the globe rely on the input from Esearch.com panel members every day.”
Apparently, this is a survey company that is dedicated to providing companies with the feedback that they need to develop better products and services. So yeah… from the looks of it, Esearch is a legitimate online survey company.
But are they worth the time and the effort? And most importantly… could this website qualify as a side hustle?
Making Money With The Esearch Survey Website
First things first, let’s talk a little about the idea of earning through Esearch. I am all about the side-hustle mentality.
In fact, that’s the main reason that I research paid survey sites like this. I’m always on the lookout for the next side hustle to help me to boost my income and build my own businesses.
Let’s be honest.
Everyone could benefit from earning a bit of extra money on the side here and there… and Esearch is the type of website that just might allow me to do that.
Bills are getting more and more expensive for many of us. And we are not necessarily raking in much more by-the-hour, either. At least, most of us are not. This is why a side hustle or two is important for everyone. Both for entrepreneurs, and also for those who work for someone else.
A side hustle really only needs three vital components to work. It needs to be profitable, it needs to be flexible, and it needs to be consistent. As long as it has those things, there is really no reason why you can’t make it work.
But does Esearch possess these three important basic attributes?
This is the real question… and in this review, we are going to answer it.
So let’s get started.
Getting Started With Esearch
There was a pretty good FAQ section on this site that gave me a lot of really good information. I took a look at this before I did anything else, and will share the most important aspects of what I learned here.
(Note: I really like it when websites publish a FAQ. It really makes information gathering easier. Websites that DO NOT publish a FAQ automatically get points deducted with me… just saying.)
First of all, I learned that Esearch does, indeed, pay their respondents in cash. They do this via PayPal, which is pretty awesome.
I also learned that, typically, members are invited to participate in about one survey per month. I also learned that these surveys last about 10 to 15 minutes. So in one sense, I was happy that Esearch provided this information right in their FAQ section.
But on the flipside, I was a bit let down by this. It sounds like the profitability part of this service just isn’t there. Even if Esearch pays out big dollars for that one survey each month, that is just not going to give you the kind of cash that you need to qualify as a legitimate side hustle.
If they sent out one survey per day, or even more than that… and if they paid well for each survey, then yes… this could be the type of thing that I am actually looking for.
But… we will take a break from this topic for the moment, and continue forward.
I also learned that most of the surveys sent out by Esearch are geared toward a US market. So yes, you can still join if you are from outside of the US… but you will not get many survey opportunities that way.
Another thing that I thought was pretty interesting was that Esearch actually answers a lot of questions about PayPal on their FAQ page. For instance, they tell you how to withdraw money from PayPal, and provide other such information about how to use it.
So their FAQ is actually really informative. I liked that about it.
But alas, this was all of the important information I could find here. It told me a lot… enough to know that Esearch was already looking like it wasn’t going to meet my needs for a side hustle. But I was still interested in seeing how the sign-up process went, because it could still be a quality survey-site gig, even if it wasn’t going to be super profitable.
So that is what I worked on next.
Signing Up For Esearch
The sign-up screen for this site was pretty in-depth, though I will also say that it was not necessarily overly so. This was a pretty typical sign-up experience… though it was, perhaps, a bit more time consuming than was normally typical.
This is only the top of the screen. If you scroll down, you will find that they are asking for a ton of information. This didn’t take me a super long time, mostly because I’m pretty adept at filling these things out. (I join a LOT of survey sites. And yes. Believe it or not, you do get better at filling these things out after completing dozens of them).
But after I got through this part of the process, I was taken to yet another similar page where I was asked for a US mailing address.
After I finished this step, I was taken to a confirmation page where they told me that I would be receiving an email to verify my email address.
And this seemed to be the final step. I would be alerted via email when it was time to conduct a survey… but aside from that, I was pretty much finished with the process.
And that was that. That completed the process of signing up for Esearch, and pretty much gave me everything that I was going to get for the moment.
How Did Esearch Perform On A Technical Level?
In a technical sense, I didn’t have a problem with Esearch. It performed as well as any other survey site that I had ever used, like PointClub or Paid Viewpoint.
I didn’t experience any glitches. I was also pretty pleasantly surprised by how easy the forms were to fill out and everything.
Changing pages and selecting new tabs was also pretty non-dramatic. So on this note, Esearch gets two big thumbs up!
I have definitely seen survey sites that looked better… but all things considered, there was nothing major to complain about here.
My Personal Feelings About The Esearch Survey Website
Will I be using this site in the future?
In a word, I am afraid that the answer is ‘no.’ And I will explain why.
To be super honest, this site started to look a bit lackluster for me when I realized that they only sent out one survey per month. In my mind, it would be really difficult for them to qualify as a legitimate side-hustle website at this rate… and a side-hustle is what I was actually looking for.
But that doesn’t mean that Esearch can’t be a quality survey site, either… and I actually think that there is a good chance that it could meet the necessary criteria for this. It is pretty typical, but it is not a bad site—by any stretch of the imagination.
If you are looking for a survey site, like to answer questions, enjoy giving your opinions, and want to get paid for doing so—then by all means, you should probably sign up for Esearch and give it a try.
I love how informative the website was. I also really like how ‘simple’ the sign-up process was. It was a bit time-consuming, but you also only have to do it once… so that is a good thing.
I was not a huge fan of how it looked. I have certainly used survey sites that were both more profitable and better looking… but eh, you can’t have everything, right?
But does this site deliver everything that I need for a website to be considered a true, quality side hustle? I’m afraid not.
It is missing the consistency and the profitability by only averaging about one survey per month. It is certainly still flexible—but this is only one component of what makes a true side-hustle site a successful side-hustle.
Esearch is not a bad survey site—but it is not much better than ‘typical.’ If you are searching for something exceptional, that can help you to earn some serious cash by taking surveys online, then Esearch is not going to be the best bet for you.

To be completely honest, doing online surveys will never earn more than minimum wage. In fact, most people rarely earn more than $1-$3 per hour, if they are lucky enough to get a payout.
