When it says 30 day cookie, or 90 or whatever, does that mean they only pay on sales during that 30 day period after the first click? IOW, the lead signs up, makes a purchase in month 1, so you get a commission, but on subsequent months, nothing?
Nathaniell
Most companies don’t pay a recurring commission, regardless of cookie length. The cookie part is how long you have to make the sale after the click. Someone might click your link, go to the website, then not buy something. But if they return to the website to buy something after a few days, you’ll still get credit as long as you are still in the cookie period.
e.g. if the cookie period is 30 days and the person returns after 10 days, you still get credit. But if the cookie period is 90 days and the person doesn’t come back until 120 days later, then you won’t get credit.
