Top 10 Job Search Affiliate Programs To Help Monetize Your Niche Websites

January 19, 2021 by Nathaniell

Last year, a friend of mine switched jobs. His new job paid better, but he wasn’t expecting the commute to be as difficult as it was, or the changes in insurance to impact his family as much as they did. After a few months at his new workplace, he realized he needed to find something closer.

He hit the job boards. Eventually, he found some new opportunities to apply for, and he moved on—but what I noticed during that time was that almost all of the webpages he visited had job boards on them. Some websites even had popup job boards that targeted his skills.

Job searches and job boards don’t jump out as a way to make money from affiliate links, but they are. Job search engines and services are products that need to be marketed like any other, and they can actually be really helpful to those doing job searches, which make them a perfect fit for affiliate sites. In fact, I think job search affiliate programs could be a good fit for multiple types of lifestyle blogs, since people often search for jobs that fit their crafted vision of themselves.

If you have a niche website, hosting a job board might be a good way to kick up some extra cash. These top ten job search affiliate programs can help you get started.

The best affiliate programs for job searches can include uploading and distributing resumes for job seekers as well as recruiting for possible employers

1. Recruiter

This landing page for Recruiter shows mostly white text on a dark background containing a dim cityscape.
Some job board companies like Recruiter work with both employers and job seekers
  • URL: Recruiter Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 20%
  • Cookies: unknown

Recruiter serves both job seekers and employers with a recruiter directory for employers and a resume distribution service for job seekers. There are over 3 million people following Recruiter, so it’s a powerful place to get noticed.

There are a few ways affiliate marketers can get paid for referrals to Recruiter. You can get commissions on job seekers who distribute their resume through Recruiter, or you can get a percentage of the hiring fee when they’re hired. You can also get a percentage of the hiring fees when employers that you refer to Recruiter hire new people. Their affiliate program is managed by FlexOffers.

Why You Should Promote Recruiter: Unlike some job boards, this isn’t just a pay-per-click deal. The hires and resume distributions are more like sales that you get commissions from. A large number of followers and the multiple ways to earn commissions are nice perks, too.

2. Job Thread

This colorful landing page for Jobthread shows a smiling woman in black clothes standing beside a background of blue, orange and white with promotional text in black promoting Jobthread, which has one of the best affiliate programs for job searches.
Jobthread has one of the best affiliate programs for job searches
  • URL: Job Thread Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 50%
  • Cookies: unknown

One really nice thing about Job Thread is that you can tailor the jobs you post for the website you’re posting on. For example, if you have a website about feet, your job postings might include positions for podiatrists and shoe salesman. It’s a good fit for niche website marketers.

JobThread takes care of the hosting and maintenance of the job board, and it’s easy to get set up. Affiliate marketers can set their fees for a job posting. If it brings in money, the profit is split evenly. The only other thing that affiliates have to do is bring traffic to the website where the job board is posted.

Why You Should Promote JobThread: It’s easy to set up, so it’s a great place for newbies who are interested in job boards to begin. There’s no upfront cost, the commission is good, and it works really well with niche market websites.

3. Resume Robin

This landing page for Resume Robin has a white background and includes a few photos, such as a fuzzy background photo near the header of a man in a light blue shirt with a tie.
Resume Robin distributes resumes for job seekers
  • URL: Resume Robin Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 15-20%
  • Cookies: unknown

Like Recruiter, Resume Robin distributes resumes for job seekers. There are over six million users, and resumes can be sent to more than 500 sites. There’s also a free resume builder for job seekers to use. For job seekers, the site is friendly and simple to use.

Also, like Recruiter, there’s a page for employers, and affiliate marketers get paid a commission on sales (hires and resume distributions) rather than by clicks.

The network this company uses to distribute resumes reaches more than 20 million job seekers, and it covers a lot of Fortune 500 companies. There’s a potential for plenty of hits on nice jobs because of the large number of users.

Why You Should Promote Resume Robin: Resume Robin has a higher conversion rate than AdSense.

4. Resumes Planet

Resumes Planet offers a range of profitable packages starting at $135
  • URL: Resumes Planet Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 25%-40%
  • Cookies: 45 days

Resumes Planet is one of the leading resume writing services in the US. They help with well-written, effective, and professional resume that employers are looking for in job seekers. They guarantee an easy ordering process, a resume written by a pro, on-time delivery, and an interview invitation.

Resumes Planet pays its affiliates a 25% commission on all sales while top-performing affiliates get a 40% commission. The average product price ranges from $65 – $283 with an average order size of $140. They also have a great conversion rate and an incredibly low rate of reversals or refunds of 4%.

Why You Should Promote Resumes Planet: Resumes Planet leads in resume writing services according to The Washington Post, Winchester Star, and The LA Times. They provide affiliates with creative discount offers. They even guarantee a free revision if the applicant didn't get an invitation for an interview after 30 days.

5. JuJu

This screenshot shows a dark blue background with a white window containing text and Juju's orange and purple logo.
Juju is a job aggregate service rather than a job board
  • URL: JuJu Affiliate Program
  • Commission: Unlisted
  • Cookies: Unknown

JuJu, which acts as a job search engine instead of a job board, has more than 8 million job listings available and covers several different categories. Because it is a job aggregator, jobs that show up on your website through JuJu will have been pulled from many different places on the web.

For job recruiters, costs are lowered through pay-per-click recruiting. As an affiliate marketer, this means that you’ll get paid for each click generated from your websites. JuJu is a fairly easy system to set up.

Why You Should Promote JuJu: There could be a wider variety of jobs through JuJu than from regular job boards. Although the pay-per-click method doesn’t seem like a lot, it can add up if you create content that brings in the right kind of traffic.

6. Purejobs

The screenshot of this landing page contains a cartoon background of cars against a city horizon and a bright yellow call-to-action box.
With Purejobs affiliate marketers get paid every time someone uploads a resume
  • URL: Purejobs Affiliate Program
  • Commission: $0.50 for each successfully uploaded resume + 25% on resume sales
  • Cookies: 60 days

Purejobs has several ways to help affiliate marketers make money. If a job seeker gets to Purejobs from your website and uploads a resume, you get $0.50. If it results in a resume sale, you get a 25% commission. You’ll also get a 25% commission if a recruiter or employer buy a membership or post a job after finding Purejobs from your site.

Why You Should Promote Purejobs: The commissions are based on actual sales rather than pay-per-click methods, but it’s also nice to get a small payment every time you refer someone who uploads a resume.

7. Jobstars

This screenshot shows a blue background with a white and orange header.
Affiliate partners make $100 on their first conversion with Jobstars
  • URL: Jobstars Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 10%
  • Cookies: 90 days

Rather than being a job board or a job search engine, Jobstars focuses on helping job seekers prepare to get the jobs they want. The company provides tools and resources such as career coaching and help with resume writing.

Why You Should Promote Jobstars: Although the base commission is 10%, affiliate partners are guaranteed to be paid $100 on their first conversion. The company is also open to discussing other types of partnerships.

8. Appcast

This screenshot shows a landing page with a white background, black text and a blue call-to-action box with green buttons.
Appcast fits well with niche markets websites
  • URL: Appcast Affiliate Program
  • Commission: Unlisted; pay-on-performance
  • Cookies: Unknown

Appcast has a reach of about 10,000 sites that employers and recruiters can post job openings on. Niche market sites are one of the top four areas that can be targeted for these open jobs, so it’s a nice match for affiliate marketers.

Affiliates are paid when a job seeker finds a job on your website and applies for it.

Why You Should Promote Appcast: For this company, the biggest perk is that it can fit well with affiliate marketing websites. The tighter your niche is, the more targeted the jobs can be, which could bring in employers with a higher marketing budget.

9. Vacancy Open

This landing page screenshot includes a screen-wide photo of a group of young business professionals at an informal business meeting.
Vacancy Open is a worldwide job search site
  • URL: Vacancy Open Affiliate Program
  • Commissions: 8-20%
  • Cookies: Unknown

The fun thing about this company is that it’s globally based. This job search engine covers freelance work, contract work, full and part-time jobs, internships, and more. When job seekers click through your website to look at jobs, they’ll be able to see several categories that the jobs fall under, which might keep them on the site longer and increase the chances of making a sale.

Why You Should Promote Vacancy Open: This could be a good fit for affiliate marketers who have websites with a broad cultural appeal, such as a travel website.

10. UX Jobs Board

The screenshot of this landing page shows a white background with dark blue bars, black text and magenta call-to-action buttons.
UX Jobs Board specifically targets employers who are looking for User Experience personnel
  • URL: UX Jobs Board Affiliate Program
  • Commission: 20%
  • Cookies: 60 days

This job board is geared specifically toward UX (user experience) professionals, and it’s designed for employers rather than job seekers. Affiliate marketers who refer an employer get paid when the employer posts a job on the UX Jobs Board site.

This is also a global job board, so job seekers could see intriguing jobs from places ranging from Arlington, Virginia to Vienna, Austria.

Why You Should Promote UX Jobs Board: Affiliate marketers with niche sites dealing in some sort of user experience could make money through UX Jobs Board sales. User experience covers a wide range of possibilities, including everything from how a product is shaped to how it sounds, so niche websites might focus on graphic design, book covers, engineering, and other intriguing topics.

Affiliate Website Ideas

Now that you’ve had a closer look at these top 10 job search affiliate programs, how will you use them on your niche websites?

That probably depends on the type of niche websites that you have. For example, if you have a website focusing mostly on gaming, you might want to host a job board geared toward software developers and beta testers. You could also promote gaming systems, headphones, and high-quality video cards.

What if you’re passionate about kayaking? Your niche website might promote watersports equipment, outfitters, guided nature tours, river expeditions, and adventure vacations. You might also advertise online subscription-based tutorials about watersports. The job board could list possibilities such as tour guides, lifeguards, adventure company managers, and sales executives.

If you’re deep into parenting and everything about it, your job board might advertise vacancies for pediatricians or nurses, daycare personnel, social workers, or school teachers. On the same site, you could also promote educational software for parents and children, baby-friendly furniture, and packages for Disney vacations.
