This was an interesting survey website that we found while browsing the web. I’m all about finding quality side hustles on the internet, and wondered if this site would have what it took to ‘make the cut.’ But can you really make money with the UniqueRewards survey website?

That is what I was determined to find out as I took a look at it and gave it a try. Not all paid survey/offer websites are equal, and it can be tough to find one that is actually profitable enough to make it worth the time.

To start off with, let’s talk about what the site looks like.

UniqueRewards: My First Impression Of The Website

My first impression of the UniqueRewards survey website wasn’t actually that awesome. In fact, I found the design of the landing page a bit on the ‘cluttered’ side, and also felt that the lettering was a bit old-fashioned for my taste. It just didn’t have that clear, professional look I like to see on survey websites.

But… looks don’t necessarily define the site either, so that’s important to keep in mind.

What I was interested in figuring out was whether or not this site could actually help me to make some extra money.

I love the idea of using survey sites as side hustles, because they offer a lot of flexibility. You can, essentially, use them whenever you get the time, which would allow you to earn some extra cash when it was convenient for you.

The only problem with such sites, however, is that they often do not pay enough to make them worth the time.

But would UniqueRewards fall prey to the same downside?

Here is what I found out.

Taking A Closer Look At UniqueRewards

Despite the rather ‘complicated’ look of the landing page on uniquerewards.com, the design and layout was pretty simple. There is a simple ‘how it works’ description right in the middle of the landing page. It gives you a 3-step-process rundown of how the site is supposed to work.

1. Fill out the registration form
2. Visit sites, read emails, and shop online
3. Get your cash rewards

As you can see, this doesn’t seem to be a ‘typical’ survey site. If you scroll down a little bit, there is actually a video hosted that explains exactly how it functions. I watched it. It was 1:24 long. Here is a link to it. I would seriously consider watching it.

It literally made me laugh out loud. I can’t even explain it. You just have to watch it.

But anyway, the point is that this is an ‘offer’ website, which means that you earn cash and other rewards by completing ‘offers,’ like watching videos, listening to the radio, clicking on ads, shopping online, taking surveys, reading emails, etc.

To be super honest, offer websites tend to be some of my least-favorite types of paid websites, mostly because they tend to pay out even less than most survey sites.

But, I was not necessarily going to write this one off quite yet. I noticed that there was a FAQ section link toward the bottom, and I decided to visit this page to learn a bit more. Here is a rundown of what I found.

What I Learned In The UniqueRewards FAQ

First of all, I learned that new offers are literally added every day… so if you run out of offers, you can just check back in the following day to keep making money.

Next, I learned that you can become what they call a ‘Gold Member’ on this site, which basically happens when you earn your first $20. Gold Membership gives you higher commissions for some offers and surveys. So, it pays to keep working toward that mark on UniqueRewards… which is a pretty cool feature.

Next, I learned that you can earn cash for referring people to the site. You earn $1 when your referral completes their first offer, and they pay $5 for every active referral. This means that you get paid $5 when one of your referrals gets to the $20 mark.

To earn referrals, you can actually place a banner ad on your website. This requires some expertise, but is a pretty cool concept!

The minimum to cash out on this site is $20. You can choose to cash out with either PayPal or a check, whichever is more convenient for you. A check is a bit old fashioned, but some people legitimately prefer this.

UniqueRewards is only available to residents of the US, the UK, and Canada. Unfortunately, you are out of luck for this one if you live anywhere outside of one of these areas.

I learned that they also hold monthly and weekly contests where you can earn other bonuses, and that they also host a forum where you can discuss topics regarding the service with other members.

You can also listen to the radio to earn money… and the way that they do this is really interesting. You listen to any radio station you want that is provided, and every 30 minutes, a Captcha code will pop up. They pay out $0.03 per Captcha code.

Granted, this isn’t a ton of money… but you don’t even necessarily need to ‘listen’ to the radio in order for it to work. Just fill in the codes when you are prompted.

After reading through the FAQ, I visited the ‘Guide,’ and this actually gave me a lot of really in-depth information about how much they pay for different things.

This is unusual to find on websites like this, so a big thumbs-up to Unique Rewards for being so transparent with what they pay out! It usually takes quite a bit of effort to even try to figure this out.

Here is what I discovered.

How Much Does UniqueRewards Pay Out?

Here is a rundown of how much the site pays out for specific types of offers.

They offer cash back for online shopping. They offer hundreds of different merchants, and you can earn up to 50% cash-back on every dollar you spend. Sometimes you can even try brand-name products for free before paying for them using this site, and that is cool.

The amount they pay for surveys varies.

You can earn money by visiting websites through offers for $0.01 per click-through. You earn this same amount for reading paid emails, watching paid videos, and for completing other ‘offers.’

As it turns out, this site pays out pretty much like most other ‘offer’ sites in terms of how much money you can earn. And it was after learning this that I felt confident in making my ‘final choice’ about it.

How Did UniqueRewards Perform Technically?

On a technical level, this website performed pretty well. I didn’t experience any glitches or anything like that. I was not super impressed with how it looked, and I felt like the typesetting was a bit weird. I was also not a huge fan of how they laid it all out.

But these were just cosmetic issues, and to be super honest, they were all pretty subjective. In all real respects, this site did a good job.

My Personal Feelings About The UniqueRewards Website

Personally, I felt like this was a typical offer site.

This site would be perfect for someone who wants to take part in some offers while making a bit of extra cash at the same time. In fact, I loved how transparent they were about how much they pay. I really feel like they make the process simple too… and for that reason, they might be one of the ‘better’ offer sites out there (other such sites include InboxDollars, CashKarma and QuickThoughts.

But will this site provide you with enough money to qualify it as a side-hustle?

I’m afraid the answer to this question is a ‘no.’ The fact that the site only pays pennies for so many offers does not bode well. It really isn’t even worth it to do something for a penny in today’s financial world… unless you just enjoy doing that thing anyway and would basically do it for free.

In which case, the pennies could easily add up to a few dollars over time, and would prove to provide an extra incentive to the process.

That’s why this offer site is probably more designed for people who enjoy offer sites… not for people who are looking for a side hustle to boost their monthly income.

For this reason, I will likely not be using UniqueRewards again in the future. It is certainly not a bad site. It just lacked what I needed and was looking for. If you are looking for a true, profitable, rewarding side-hustle opportunity, I am afraid you will probably need to try your luck elsewhere.
