TravelInsurance.com provides one of the easiest travel insurance comparisons online. Plans that this company works with cover incidents like trip cancellation, medical emergencies while traveling, or lost luggage.

Customers compare the plans they’re interested in side by side and then purchase the insurance directly through TravelInsurance.com. Once a customer has made an online purchase, they’re sent an email that provides them with immediate coverage.

TravelInsurance.com has been seen in several big media outlets such as The New York Times, Forbes, Fox News, NBC, and Money Digest.

Why You Should Promote TravelInsurance.com: The intuitive use of this price-comparison website may be one of its best features. However, the large number of media companies that have endorsed this product could be another converting factor, because it shows the company is credible and has a good reputation.

2. Travel Guard

This screenshot of the home page for Travel Guard has a royal blue header, a light blue navigation bar, and a large photo of a sunset over the ocean behind white text that reads "Protect your travel investment today."

Travel Guard offers several travel insurance plans to meet a wide variety of budgets and needs. Its online options include essential, preferred, and deluxe plans.

The deluxe plan comes with access to travel assistance services that are available 24/7, while the essential plan offers just the basics and is designed to be budget-friendly. The preferred plan falls between them for both expense and coverage.

Travel Guard also has some specialty traveler’s insurance options. These plans cover issues like accidents on an airline, damage to rental vehicles, extended-stay medical plans, and packages for last-minute travelers.

Travel Guard partners with Commission Junction to administer their affiliate program.

Why You Should Promote Travel Guard: The wide range of plans is one of the top assets for this company. The ability to choose basic plans based on varying budgets is nice, too. However, because the commission rate isn’t listed, affiliate marketers who are interested must contact this company to find out more about the affiliate program.

3. Allianz Global Assistance

This screenshot of the home page for Allianz Global assistance has a light gray background with blue and orange elements in the logo, above a photo of a field of pumpkins with a dark blue option box where customers can begin their search for travel insurance.

Why You Should Promote Allianz Global Assistance: Because Allianz is its parent company, Allianz Global Assistance has a solid reputation, which could convert some shoppers. For affiliate marketers, the flat commission rate can be helpful for budgeting or financial forecast projects. The cookie length is decent, too.

4. Travel Insurance Center

This screenshot of the home page for Travel Insurance Center has a white header with a blue and red logo above a dark-filtered photo of a lighthouse on a rocky coast and a gray text box where customers can begin to search for travel insurance options.

Travelers insurance plans offered through Travel Insurance Center include emergency medical coverage, global risk insurance, and plans for accidental death and dismemberment, annual traveling, general medical issues, trip coverage, and group travel insurance.

Once a customer has registered with Travel Insurance Center, all commissions from the customer ID number go to the referring affiliate. This means that if the same customer comes back to any Travel Insurance Center website in the future to buy an insurance plan, the affiliate who first referred that person will continue to get a commission for every repeat purchase.

The affiliate program is open to insurance agents and travel agents.

Why You Should Promote Travel Insurance Center: The commission is small, but the repeat commission potential is a nice perk. The large number of travel insurance providers to choose from could be a draw for potential customers, too.

5. Travelex Insurance Services

This screenshot of the home page for Travelex Insurance Services has a background that looks like a pale blue sky with white clouds, along with a section of white background with text in blue and black, a blue navigation bar, and a set of three photos showing someone in a beanie cap looking out over a beautiful lake and city from a rocky perch higher above them.

Travelex Insurance Services helped innovate family travel packages, including key person coverage for nontraditional families and covering children at no additional cost.

Why You Should Promote Travelex Insurance Services: For affiliates, the flat commission rate is great (around three times what some other companies offer). The pre-existing condition waiver and the ability to bring children at no additional charge could be a draw for potential customers, too.

6. Insure My Trip

Around 70% of World Nomad customers choose to make microdonations when they purchase a plan, and that has added up to more than $3 million in donations so far for funding projects with The Footprints Network.

Why You Should Promote World Nomads: World Nomad’s participation in The Footprints Network is a nice idea, and the ability to get customers from around the world is great, too. However, like many other insurance companies, it’s difficult to tell how much you can make with World Nomads until you actually talk with someone from the company.

Why You Should Promote Roam Right: The commission rate is nice, and the cookie length is excellent. Affiliate Website Ideas

Now that you’ve read through this list of the top 10 travelers insurance affiliate programs, do you have any ideas about how to apply them to your own interests? I have some niche market website ideas to share with you. Feel free to use them as springboards to enhance your own niche market strategies.

For starters, what about a website that focuses on unusual family vacations? Besides travel insurance, a website like this one could feature vacation packages, outdoor gear such as hiking equipment and tents, or photography equipment.

A website that describes how to build a positive corporate culture could promote travel insurance, especially policies or companies that specialize in business travel. It could also feature group training programs with video affiliate programs, employee incentive programs, gym equipment for companies who provide workout time for their employees, and even fashion items like power suits and shoes.

Another idea is to build a website that zeroes in on family history searches across the globe. Besides travel insurance, a website like this one could promote flight bookings, mobile devices with excellent photography options, and subscriptions to genealogical societies.

Hi Nathaniel. I have very recently started blogging about raising children with ASD. One of the topics I wrote about is traveling abroad for medical treatments. The lovely thing about my country was that no insurance company would give us traveling insurance.
I had to look outside, and was refered to Pacific Prime. Now unfortunately they don’t seem to have an affiliate program, so refering my readers to them is not optimal.
From your article, I can understand that the first place I should check out is TravelX, due to their pre-existing condition waiver?
