The rumor is that you can watch videos to earn quite a bit of money every month… but can you really make money with EarnHoney.com?

I am a huge fan of the side-hustle mentality. We all want to earn some extra cash—but the trick is finding a method that works! There are countless websites out there that claim to have the answers—but unfortunately, a lot of them are basically pointless once you see how little they are actually going to earn you.

So my goal, in researching this site, was to find out if EarnHoney.com could potentially be used to earn some sweet extra money.

Here is what you need to know.

Making Money With EarnHoney.com

Let’s start at the beginning, what exactly is EarnHoney.com?

This website claims to help you ‘do good things and get rewarded.’ This basically means that you can perform tasks to earn cash. There is a video featured on the landing page dedicated to explaining how everything works, so I watched that to get started.

First of all, they claim that you can earn money 3 times faster on EarnHoney.com than you can on any other rewards site! That is a bold claim, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt… at least for the time being.

This site also gives you a lot of incentives to help you earn more as you put more effort into it. For example—the more you do, the more ‘badges’ you can earn. You can complete badges to not only earn more, but also to qualify you for better surveys, etc.

Can You Really Make Money With EarnHoney.com?

Yes, you can actually earn money on EarnHoney.com. You can do so by watching videos, completing online tasks, playing games, or by giving your opinion through different types of surveys. Technically, this is what we would classify as an offer site.

They also have a pretty attractive referral program, where you can potentially earn 10% of your referral’s earnings for life.

You technically earn points when you watch videos, complete offers, etc. But… you can trade these points in for gift cards, and gift card options do include choices like PayPal and Amazon.com… which are almost as good as cash, for all intents and purposes.

Toward the bottom of the landing page, the website is said to be ranked ‘one of the top two sites to earn money in your spare time.’ It has also been noticed and mentioned by such publications such as MSN, Business Insider, and The Huffington Post.

My question is…ranked by whom?

How Much Can You Make Every Month?

To figure out how much you can earn every month from EarnHoney, it is important to first understand exactly how their currency works.

When you perform tasks, you will earn points called OPTin Coins. Each one of these points is basically worth one penny. These cannot be exchanged directly for cash, but they can be used to buy a number of different types of gift cards… including PayPal gift cards and prepaid Visa gift cards, which are basically the same as cash.

In reading about this site online, it would seem that they are best known for their video streaming. In other words, the most profitable thing about this site, according to what I had heard, was that you could stream videos and earn that way. So that is what I looked into first.

Online estimates, provided by other users, said that you could earn about $30 per month in gift cards on this site using the videos.

But personally, I had a hard time believing this to be the case—the reason being was that it seemed like I literally needed to play every single video manually.

Unless there is some way, unknown to me, to get the videos to play on their own, I cannot imagine being able to spend enough time on this site to make $30 in one month. At the most, I could see being able to make a couple of dollars from the videos—but that is about it.

I earned 2 OPTin for signing up for the site. But this is valued at about 2 pennies… so as you can see, signing up for the site (which took me about 3.5 minutes, after verifying my email) was not a very lucrative use of my time.

And usually—this is a part that pays a lot, because websites are usually trying to get you excited to keep performing tasks.

One thing that I did learn about the site was that you can check and see if they are logging in your video viewing time by visiting the User Panel. This was pretty cool, as it confirmed that I was, indeed, getting credit for the videos I watched… albeit, not quite enough to write home about!

What Are The Requirements?

You must live in the USA to make use of EarnHoney.com as of the time that this review was written. They say that they are trying to expand to new markets, but they are not available yet.

This was really the only requirement that we were able to find. It was located on the FAQ page. They did not list any other requirements along with this one.

Can You Realistically Turn A Profit With EarnHoney.com?

This question is a little bit difficult to answer—mostly because user experiences on the site could vary. Some people online claim to make $30 or more a month using it. But I honestly cannot see earning more than $5 a month, unless you literally spend a TON of time on the site.

For me, side hustles need to satisfy 3 basic requirements to be considered ‘worth the time.’ They need to be…

1. Flexible
2. Profitable
3. Consistent

If a side hustle does not really match up with all three of these requirements, then it really starts to become less-valuable as a potential money-making venture in my eyes.

EarnHoney.com, to me, was definitely flexible. You can absolutely use it anywhere, at any time, and that is awesome. It is also consistent, because as far as I can tell, you would always be able to find work on it.

If you don’t watch videos, you can always take surveys or complete tasks.

But is it profitable? Based on my somewhat limited experiences with it, I would have to say ‘no.’

I could see earning a few dollars here and there, but I certainly do not see how anyone spending fewer than three to four hours per day would hope to make any more than that—and 3 to 4 hours a day is a lot of time to spend earning just $30 a month.

You could actually get a side job to pay you better than that for the same amount of time!

So yeah. You can turn a profit with this site, but only if you don’t value your time very highly.

Does It Cost You Anything To Use?

No. Aside from the time that you will spend using it, EarnHoney.com is free to sign up for and totally free to use.

My Personal Feelings About Making Money With EarnHoney.com

Personally, I feel like EarnHoney.com does a few things right—but that for the most part, you are going to find that it is just not worth your time.

Whenever you take on a new side-hustle, it is really important to pay attention to how much money you are able to generate for your time investment.

Time is, without a doubt, our most valuable currency—and if we are not able to generate a decent amount of money for our time investment, then the side-hustle is not worth very much.

There are always hustles out there that will earn. It is just a matter of which one is right for you. Different people might also find that different opportunities will work out better for them. To a degree, this is a personal challenge that we must all face.

Finding and nailing-down those side hustles is hard work. But once we do it, and we start seeing that extra-money roll in—then we will realize that the hard, extra work is worth it.

But with that being said, I did not really see anything to indicate that EarnHoney.com was going to be a worthwhile use of my time if the goal was to find a profitable side hustle. I just think it would take too much time and effort to generate money on this site for me to bother with it, unfortunately.

If you have a ton of free time on your hands and you like watching videos, taking surveys, and completing offers, then you can certainly earn some extra money with it. But you won’t get rich with it either—and I personally feel like there are far better ways to earn extra money every month if that is the goal.
