Email marketing is a form of digital marketing that involves using email to promote products and services to a targeted audience of subscribers. By building a strong email list and crafting engaging and persuasive emails, businesses can promote their products and services to their subscribers and earn a profit through commissions, sales, and other forms of revenue.
Are You Ready To Work Your Ass Off to Earn Your Lifestyle?
Are you tired of the daily grind? With a laptop and an internet connection I built a small website to generate income, and my life completely changed. Let me show you exactly how I’ve been doing it for more than 13 years.
For bloggers, email marketing can be a powerful and effective way to earn a profit from their blog. By building a strong email list of subscribers who are interested in their content, bloggers can promote relevant products and services to their subscribers and earn a profit through commissions, sales, and other forms of revenue. Additionally, email marketing can be a highly personalized and targeted marketing approach, allowing bloggers to tailor their promotions and offers to the specific interests and needs of their subscribers.
To start earning a profit through email marketing, the first step is to build an email list. This can be done by offering valuable content and incentives to encourage readers to subscribe to the blogger’s email list. For example, the blogger could offer a free download, a discount code, or access to exclusive content in exchange for the reader’s email address. The blogger can then use a variety of tactics to grow their email list, such as promoting the sign-up form on social media, running advertising campaigns, and offering additional incentives to encourage subscribers to share the sign-up form with their own networks.
Once the blogger has built a strong email list, the next step is to craft engaging and persuasive emails that promote the products and services that the blogger wants to earn a profit from. This can involve creating a variety of email types, such as newsletters, promotional emails, and transactional emails. The emails should be well-written, visually appealing, and focused on the benefits and value of the products and services being promoted. The blogger should also take care to segment their email list and tailor their emails to different groups of subscribers, in order to maximize the relevance and effectiveness of their promotions.
The final step in the email marketing process is to track and analyze the results of the emails, in order to continually improve and optimize the campaign. This can involve using email marketing software to track metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. The blogger can then use this data to refine their email strategy, improve the quality of their emails, and optimize the offers and promotions they include in their emails. By continually tracking and analyzing their email marketing efforts, the blogger can maximize their profit potential and build a successful and sustainable email marketing campaign.
In addition to the steps outlined above, there are a few other key factors that can help bloggers to succeed with email marketing. First, it is important to establish a clear and consistent brand identity, in order to build trust and credibility with subscribers. This can involve creating a professional-looking website, using consistent branding across all of the blogger’s marketing materials, and providing high-quality content on a regular basis.
Second, it is crucial to build relationships with subscribers and nurture them over time. This can involve offering personalized and relevant content, responding to subscribers’ questions and comments, and providing exceptional customer service. By building strong relationships with subscribers, bloggers can foster loyalty and trust, and increase the chances of making successful sales and earning a profit.
Finally, it is important to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in email marketing. This can involve reading industry blogs and publications, attending conferences and workshops, and networking with other email marketers. By staying current with industry trends, bloggers can ensure that their email marketing campaigns are effective and competitive.
Overall, email marketing is a powerful and effective way for bloggers to earn a profit. By building a strong email list, crafting engaging and persuasive emails, and tracking and analyzing their results, bloggers can promote products and services to their subscribers and earn a profit through commissions, sales, and other forms of revenue.
Get Your First Autoresponder
To start your first email marketing campaign, the first thing you’ll need to do is to choose an autoresponder service.
An autoresponder is a software tool that automatically sends predetermined responses to incoming emails. Autoresponders are commonly used in email marketing to automatically send pre-written emails to subscribers in response to certain triggers or events.
For example, an autoresponder could be used to automatically send a welcome email to a subscriber after they sign up for an email list, or to automatically send a series of emails with content and promotions to subscribers over a set period of time. Autoresponders can save time and effort for businesses and organizations that need to send large volumes of email, and can help to ensure that important emails are sent promptly and consistently.
There are many email autoresponders available on the market, and the best option for a particular blogger will depend on their specific needs and preferences. Some popular email autoresponder options include Mailchimp, AWeber, and Constant Contact.
These autoresponders offer a range of features, such as email templates, automation tools, and analytics, to help bloggers create and manage their email marketing campaigns. Other email autoresponder options include ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, and Drip. These autoresponders offer similar features and capabilities, and can be effective for bloggers who want to create and manage successful email marketing campaigns.
Build Your List
To create engaging emails, a blogger can use a variety of tactics to make their emails compelling and persuasive. For example, the emails can include compelling subject lines that grab the reader’s attention and make them want to open the email. The emails can also include engaging and persuasive copy that clearly explains the benefits of the products and services being promoted, and that encourages the reader to take action. Additionally, the emails can include visually appealing design elements, such as images, videos, and buttons, that help to capture the reader’s attention and make the emails more engaging.
The profit from email marketing can come from a variety of sources. For example, if the blogger is promoting affiliate products and services, they can earn a commission on any sales that result from their promotions. If the blogger is promoting their own products and services, they can earn a direct profit from the sales they generate. If the blogger is promoting sponsored content, they can earn a profit from the sponsored content they promote. Additionally, the blogger can earn a profit from any other forms of revenue, such as advertising or sponsorships, that are related to their email marketing efforts.
6 Proven Ways To Build A Large Email List
- Offer valuable content and incentives: Bloggers can offer valuable content, such as free ebooks or exclusive access to content, to encourage readers to sign up for the email list. By providing valuable content, bloggers can demonstrate the value of their email list and encourage more people to join. Additionally, bloggers can offer incentives, such as discounts or freebies, to further motivate readers to sign up for the email list.
- Promote the sign-up form: Bloggers can promote the sign-up form on their website, social media channels, and other online platforms to reach a wider audience and encourage more people to sign up for the email list. This could involve creating dedicated landing pages for the sign-up form, adding sign-up forms to blog posts and other pages on the website, and promoting the sign-up form on social media. By promoting the sign-up form widely, bloggers can reach a larger audience and increase the number of people who sign up for the email list.
- Run social media contests: Bloggers can run social media contests that require participants to sign up for the email list in order to enter. For example, bloggers could run a photo contest on Instagram, where participants must sign up for the email list in order to submit their photos and be eligible for prizes. By running social media contests, bloggers can attract new subscribers and grow the email list.
- Use lead magnets: Bloggers can use lead magnets, such as webinars or contests, to attract new subscribers and grow the email list. Lead magnets are valuable or interesting offers that bloggers can use to entice readers to join the email list. For example, bloggers could offer a free webinar or an exclusive contest to readers who sign up for the email list. By offering lead magnets, bloggers can attract new subscribers and grow the email list.
- Run advertising campaigns: Bloggers can use paid advertising on platforms such as Google AdWords or Facebook Ads to reach a larger audience and encourage more people to sign up for the email list. By creating targeted ads and promoting them to the right audience, bloggers can effectively reach potential subscribers and encourage them to sign up for the email list.
- Collaborate with other bloggers and influencers: Bloggers can collaborate with other bloggers and influencers in their niche to cross-promote each other’s email lists and grow their own email list. For example, bloggers could agree to promote each other’s email sign-up forms on their websites or podcast. By collaborating with other bloggers and influencers, bloggers can expand their reach and grow their email list.

What you write will depend on the niche of your blog, what products you are promoting, and who your target audience is. Usually, emails do not just “sell” something right away, and spend some time developing a relationship with the reader.
Here’s an example of a series of five emails you could send out if you were in the CBD oil niche and promoting some CBD products.
- The first email could introduce the blogger and their expertise in the world of CBD oil. The email could provide an overview of the benefits of CBD oil and explain why the blogger is passionate about it.
- The second email could provide more detailed information about the specific brand of CBD oil that the blogger is promoting. The email could include information about the manufacturing process and why it is superior to other types of CBD oil processing.
- The third email could focus on promoting the specific product that the blogger wants to sell. The email could include a special offer or discount for the product, and provide a clear call to action for readers to make a purchase. For example, if the target audience is athletes, it could be a recovery cream. If the target audience is coffee drinkers, it could be a “no jitters” CBD coffee.
- The fourth email could provide additional information about the benefits of CBD oil and how it can be used to improve health and wellbeing. The email could include personal anecdotes from the blogger or other customers, and provide information about the scientific research behind CBD oil.
- The fifth email could provide a final call to action for readers to make a purchase, and could include a reminder of the special offer or discount that was provided in the third email. The email could also include additional resources, such as educational articles or videos, to help readers learn more about CBD oil and its benefits.
Continue The *Relationship*
The main thing to understand with email marketing is that you are not smarter than your audience. They know when they are being bullshitted. If you start sending promotional emails every day, they will unsubscribe. You need to deliver value, or they are going to cut you off. I do it. You do it. They’ll do it. Nobody likes being on a pushy email list.
This is a relationship, and you have to give some to get some. What value are you going to provide the reader?
To maintain a long term and profitable relationship with the people who are reading your emails, it’s important to consistently provide value and engage with your readers. One way to do this is to regularly send emails that include useful information, such as industry news, tips and tricks, or personal insights. You can also offer special deals or discounts to your email subscribers, and encourage them to share their feedback and suggestions with you.
Another effective way to engage with your readers is to create a sense of community among them. This can include hosting webinars or Q&A sessions, organizing events or meetups, or starting a discussion forum or social media group. By fostering a sense of community, you can encourage your readers to engage with each other and with your brand, and build stronger, more profitable relationships over time.
It’s also important to be transparent and honest in all of your communications with your email subscribers. This means not making false promises or overstating the benefits of your products or services. Be upfront about any changes to your email policies, such as how often you will be sending emails or what information you will be collecting from your readers. By building trust with your readers, you can create a long term and profitable relationship with them.
Do You Absolutely Need To Build A List?
While there are many benefits to running an email marketing campaign for a blog, it is not absolutely necessary to do so. A blogger can still reach and engage with their audience without running an email marketing campaign, through other means such as social media and content marketing through search engines.
Additionally, not all bloggers have the resources or expertise to run an effective email marketing campaign. It can require a significant amount of time, effort, and knowledge to create and manage an email marketing campaign, and some bloggers may not have the necessary skills or experience to do so.
When I was a blogger in 2010, everyone hammered into my head that I should be “building a list”, and so I did. Then I paid for three years of autoresponder services, and never made a dime from it. I’ve had some profitable email campaigns since then, but nothing too crazy like you hear about from some of the success stories you might have heard. Overall, I just didn’t enjoy it and wasn’t very good at it, so I didn’t make much money from it.
Not all bloggers may be interested in running an email marketing campaign! Some bloggers may prefer to focus on other aspects of their blog, such as creating high-quality content, building a strong online presence, or networking with other bloggers and industry professionals.
Overall, while running an email marketing campaign can be a valuable tool for a blogger, it is not absolutely necessary to do so in order to be successful. There are many other ways for a blogger to reach and engage with their audience, and each blogger must decide for themselves which approach is best for their blog.
