Can You Really Make Money With Talk Fusion?

Talk Fusion Review

Product Name: Talk Fusion
Costs: $30, $125, $250, $1499
Rating: 12/100

What Is It

This is a pyramid style MLM. Their products are all video related, their flagship product being video email.

Short Review

Video in email is as simple as uploading your video to YouTube and pasting a link into Gmail. This is free, so I don’t see any reason to buy a product that focuses on Video Emails except for small businesses.

Talk Fusion has way to much emphasis on their compensation plan and recruiting. Although they are a member of the DSA, it’s clear that this is an MLM recruiting company, AKA pyramid scheme.

Product Breakdown

The main product they emphasize through sales videos and on their main website is video email. However, you can see from the screenshot below, that YouTube and Gmail are able to do this without a problem, and for free. If privacy is an issue, there are privacy settings on your videos that you can change, including not allowing public access, or requiring a password to get watch.

send receive video email

This basically makes this service completely obsolete except for business use.

I actually do think that video in small business email could be fun, engaging, and useful. But as I was watching their examples, I couldn’t think of one time that I actually watched a video in a promotional email.

I suppose it’s possible that Talk Fusion is so cutting edge that no businesses I’ve ever associated with have even considered using email. However, I think it’s more likely that there are other issues not being addressed like data usage, click stats, and actual minutes watched. Just a guess though.

Video conferencing is another product that’s pushed, but again, there are alternatives. Skype is free, so basic users will probably not even consider paying the $750 + $30/month for access to the video conference software.

skype video conference

As far as businesses go, why would they pay those fees for an unpopular, unknown, MLM company when they could use a trusted name like Adobe, Citrix, or Cisco? Perhaps there are some reasons, but Talk Fusion certainly hasn’t addressed this. Are you prepared and knowledgable enough to pitch Talk Fusion’s video conferencing software to real businesses?

There are also other products which are video based like mobile video messaging, but honestly, with stuff like snapchat, FaceTime, and the hundreds of other apps that do the same thing, you are entering an uphill battle with convincing people that your product is best.

In a nutshell, yes, there are real products to market from Talk Fusion. No, they are not cutting edge. It was clear to me after reading the literature on their website and on other places around the web that the focus of Talk Fusion is recruiting people into the system to be distributors.

Opportunity Breakdown

Typical of MLM, Talk Fusion has an extremely complicated compensation plan that takes an entire 15 page document to explain the rules of how you make money with them. That’s insane. I actually do make money online and I can explain what I do in one or two sentences.

This unbelievably long document is full of pictures of lavish vacations, sports cars, and other incentives. If it’s starting smell a bit like a scam, my suggestion is to trust your instincts.

Making Money With Talk Fusion

They are very clever to give their payment levels cute names. You start off as Bronze, and work your way up all the way to Royal Blue Diamond (One step up from Grand Blue Diamond, WOW).

Along the way there are various hoops you have to jump through to get paid. However, your basic commissions are very easy to understand: You get paid 8% of sales.

Fast Start Bonus (8% commissions)

  • Starter: $10
  • Executive: $20
  • Elite: $60
  • Pro Pak: $120

About The Global Cash Card

Apparently this is the “World’s First Instant Pay Compensation Plan”, but there’s more than meets the eye (as we’ve come to expect). This is basically a debit card that can be used to withdraw money. But anyone who’s used an ATM card knows that many ATMs will charge you fees for a withdrawal if it’s not native to their bank. You are also charged $.25 each time a commission is paid to you.

That’s not much, but if you make a $20 commission that’s a 1.25% fee. Yeah, that was in the fine print.

So far this opportunity isn’t looking so spectacular.

Major Issues

To start off, there’s a $30 fee just to be an affiliate, but it doesn’t allow you to be part of the network marketing opportunity. You’ll need to pay for that stuff you’re selling, which is how this pyramid really starts to take shape.

Can’t remember how much this stuff is going to cost you?

  • Starter Package $125
  • Executive Package $250
  • Elite $750
  • Pro Package $1499

Now you’re officially paying to sell stuff. Better start making some conversions quickly. And don’t forget, there are caps on your commissions.

Commission Caps:

  • $500 a week
  • $1000 a week
  • $25,000 a week
  • $50,000 a week

About ‘dem Bonuses

A huge part of the compensation plan for Talk Fusion relies on hype around bonuses and activities you have to do to get them. The details really aren’t that important, but in general, most of them involve recruiting X amount of people and achieving a certain level of membership.

Then you need to maintain that level of membership, or achieve a 2nd milestone to actually unlock that bonus. Bonus fees range from $20 to a $600 payment on a luxury car of your choice.

For example:

Bronze Maker Bonus: Recruit a recruiter on left/right of your binary tree, and make sure each of those people recruits a person on the left/right of their binary tree. If you do that, you get $20.

Team commissions: Make 100 sales together, earn a $25 bonus. Make 1000 sales make $250 (there seemed to be some other rules to this I didn’t quite follow)

Other bonuses include:

  • Mega Matching Bonus
  • Advancement Bonus
  • Leadership Pool

But this begs the question – why would you put all these odd restrictions on us instead of just teaching us how to sell more of your PRODUCTS.

The Pyramid Taking Shape

Taken from their own guide, they tried to get clever and hide the pyramid shape.

I will correct this and show you the true nature of Talk Fusion.

Other Comments

It’s clear that this company is focused on recruitment, and not developing great products. They also have a HUGE number of complaints on Ripoff Report, the BBB, Glassdoor, and other personal blogs.

MLM VS Affiliate Marketing

Why not leave all this silliness of bonus vacations and Mercedes bonuses behind and start a real business?

The fact is, if you join an MLM company like Talk Fusion for the money benefits, you are a recruiter. If you wanted to be a sales person, you could make a LOT more money doing affiliate marketing.

Why?

You choose the products and you do not have to limit what you promote to just one company.

For example, if you truly wanted to promote video email, you could do it via your own website and compare the top 3 brands. Instead of giving a hard sell for a company you’re obviously affiliated with, you could let the consumer decide, and make money off of ANYTHING they buy.

You could build a reputable brand online separate of any company, and based on your own personal interests.

Hate video email and don’t care about video conferencing? That’s fine. Start a website about video games or making smoothies. Create a business about gluten free diets or traveling Costa Rica.

There’s no reason to limit yourself to one company or a small set of products just to unlock “bonuses”. Do what you love, and make money doing it.

MLM VS Affiliate Marketing

Still Selling Junk To Your Friends?

What is this - the 1950's selling Tupperware? Gimme a break. It's 2019. If you want to build a business, you NEED to be online or your business will be dead in less than 10 years.

Plus, those MLM parties boring as hell, and you know it. Nobody wants to buy that overpriced junk. Sorry to be so straightforward, but I really want to see you succeed.

You can start an affiliate website, you can promote ANY products you want from ANY company, so why are you selling such a limited range of products? Affiliate commissions range from 5% to 75%, and include Amazon products, digital products, and recurring services.

Last year I generated multiple six figures with my affiliate sites, and I can show you how to make them using the same templates. You get to promte whatever you want of course, and YOU keep all the profits (no upline!).

Hi – Yes, BOB IS A RUDE, ARROGANT, INSECURE NUTJOB. I know fr personal experience recently. I work for a boss who’s been paying for TF for a few yrs now to communicate w/his team of 1500+. But recently TF decided to force everybody into their “new” versions of the different functions, e.g. sending out links for video mtgs. Problems is, the new versions r rife w/problems, untested – so bad that i finally said on the phone to a CSR last Fri. that whoever thot the new version was supposed to be better is a jerk. Then i asked to speak to a mgr to voice my complaints & to ask if i could pls have the old version back. Well BOB THE OWNER CALLS ME. Does he act professional & like he wants to retain customers & cares about problems they’re encountering w/his program? No! Instead, he immediately starts scolding me for being “verbally abusive” (!!?!), that he has clients all over the world & doesn’t need (my boss’s) business, then he HANGS UP ON ME!!! OMG & YIKES! But it didn’t stop there, he proceeded to state he was closing my boss’s acct tomorrow 8/7 (agn, bkz of…Me!!!). THEN, when Bob saw today (8/6) that i had filed a complaint w/the BBB, he shut my boss’s acct down today, i/o tomorrow! When my boss spoke to him, Bob brought up my BBB review & emailed it to him!! Yes, Bob decided to retaliate agnst my boss, break contract & cause our video mtg today to be cancelled — why? bkz Bob was so enraged about my daring to file a complaint re him!! That’s a psycho, & as i told him personally, somebody who shouldn’t even be in business, much less the Owner. Stay away, lil children. GET ZOOM OR GOTO MTG. INSTEAD. PLS – STAY AWAY!!!

Given your assumption that all mlm are crap, the analysis is not bad. But you are such a dick about it.

    Hi,

I enjoy your blog. I am reactivating my Talk Fusion business because we (the company) are very popular in overseas B2B markets.

Marketing B2B has alot of advantages especially in terms of not having to walk on egg shells about Can Spam especially overseas.

TF has weathered some storms yet this opportunity has changed many lives for the better.

The Instant Pay is a lifesaver for many, and people are not embarrassed to market a communications suite of rich media products.

For some reason, people around the world love networking and marketing combined with instant residual income.

I joined when the company when it started and sat out the stormy times.

I appreciate this opportunity and while my views don’t square with yours about TF, I will continue to enjoy your blog and prosper with TF.

    Thank you.

I’m not at all a member of Talk Fusion but I wanted to provide insight into your slanted opinion. You immediately state it’s a “Pyramid Scheme” Then you provide us a graphic to show Pyramid Scheme yet without thinking you failed to remind the public how their JOB is a Pyramid Scheme. Same Illustration as CEO, then down to the VP’s, Manager’s, and employees. Your rhetoric is slanted and obscures facts overall about Opportunity to become Self Employed.

Rather than slam this company (apparently you have an ax to grind with them) Educate the public about NOT working a 9-5 and the benefits of being a Business Owner.

This argument doesn’t make sense. In a pyramid, everyone sells the same thing. That’s why it doesn’t work. In corp america, people with jobs in a hierarchy all have different jobs within the company.
