Don’t Get Your Friends Into The Wake Up Now Scam!

February 19, 2019 by Nathaniell

Wake Up Now Scam

Wake Up Now has long since died out. Want to actually make money online and not have a company disappear? My top recommendation has been around for more than a decade.

What Is Wake Up Now?

Pay a monthly subscription fee to get discounts on various products/services. Sell subscriptions to your friends in an MLM/Pyramid scheme fashion. One guy gets rich by selling subscriptions, so everyone then goes subscriptions instead of actually using the discounts for anything.

Short Review

In case you didn’t know network marketing is very similar to a pyramid scheme. The products and services featured in Wake Up Now can be found at OTHER companies that provide better service, higher quality products, and are not associated with sketchy business “opportunities”.

Remember: It’s very likely that you’ll be scamming friends and family with this stuff, so think long and hard if you would let someone close to you join something like this.

Why You Shouldn’t Pay Money Into This Garbage

No doubt the person trying to get you in on this opportunity told you two basic things.

  1. You can make a bunch of money doing this

  2. Wake Up Now has a great line of products.

Let’s address these two points.

1. There is a very high probability that you will make almost nothing. In fact, less than 1% of people selling this product make more than $8 grand per year.

wake up now income disclosure
56 of people make $010 per year 4 make about 8 grand Less than 1 make any sort of real income

2) Anything you can buy through WUN can be bought somewhere else, for cheaper, or with more value.

Wake Up Now Products

Why on Earth would I have WUN be my travel agent when I could use Expedia or Priceline, two companies that do this professionally, and are multi-billion dollar companies with the infrastructure to provide better deals and better support?

Would you trust Norton, McAfee, or a sales pitch called “Wake Up Now” to protect your computer from viruses and identity theft? I think the choice is obvious.

And there’s really not reason at all why I would choose to order some expensive energy drinks from this company when I can buy a Monster at the gas station for $1.50, or a Red Bull, or a Rock Star, or Amp, or the million other types of drinks out there.

The only reason do to any of these things would be if you were paying a monthly subscription

wake up now cost structure

Is There Anything Positive To Say?

As much as I knock their product line, I think they do a lot better job than these other companies that restrict their products to “digital downloads”. This is NOT an endorsement of this company, I just try to find something positive in every product/system I review.

Let’s Dig Into This Hot Garbage

The number one issue with this type of company is that paying a subscription to save money is ridiculous. I do not see the value in spending an extra $100 per month so that I can save money on energy drinks and vacations.

People get involved in “biz ops” like this because they want to make money. They want to change their lives for the better, provide themselves with more income, or achieve financial independence.

But how can you do this when you are paying a monthly fee in order to save money on items that you normally wouldn’t buy?

This is not making money. It’s just consumerism

Another issue I have with this company and network marketing in general is that this will NOT be a strong foundation for your future. Most people spend a lot of time hopping from one company to the next, each time buying into the “revolutionary system”, the “game changing product”, and the chance to “get in on the ground floor” before things really get hot…

But I’ve heard these stories so many times, and just a few years later, no one is talking about them.

Because no one wants to buy this junk. In my opinion, getting ANYONE into something like this means you are scamming them. I would not advise anyone to join anything that I would not join myself.

THIS is what Wake Up Now wants you to think you will be

wake up now dream

But in reality, THIS is what you will be

hey mom opportunity

Most of your work will be cold calling friends and family, telling them how great these deals are, how fantastic the product line is, and how much money they can make. Does this sound like you dream job to you? Not me.

Hilarious Short Movie About Verve, Vemma, And Wake Up Now

Are all your friends spamming Instagram and Facebook telling you what a life-changing opportunity this is? Do they get mad when you ask too many questions or say you’re not interested? Network Marketers are no stranger to brainwashing. Watch the video below.

Thumbs Down

UPDATE

Trouble on the horizon: WUN leader steps down. The same thing happened to Empower Network when one of their CEOs “became ill” and took off. Sounds like Vemma is in trouble, getting sued for pyramid selling.

Still don’t believe me? Listen to the reputable radio cast from NPR. If you can’t dedicate an hour to listen to this, you probably shouldn’t be spending your money on this thing:

UPDATE

WUN has officially stopped network marketing operations, and top sellers are jumping ship. People are getting sued. All hell is breaking loose. #toldyouso

I have a dear friend telling me for the past month that “Wake Up Now” is a great money making opportunity. She is saying that she is getting ready to make her first 600 bucks because she has signed up 12 people and the money starts rolling in after that. The young lady that had her join this network marketing business makes 20K a month and is a die hard advocate and fan of “Wake Up Now”. I read your concerns but I’m still torn. Did you find that there was anyway to continuously make money? How are we scamming our friends and family if they use the tools given?

Ok, so your friend signed up a friend. And that friend signs up her friends…where are YOUR friends to sign up? And when they sign up, what about THEIR friends? it’s an endless chain til there are no friends left to sign up, and the thing collapses.

If you go out and sell a subscription to a discount service, then OK, I could see this working. But the vast majority of people join for the income opportunity, NOT the products. That’s what makes this a scam.

Don’t think about yourself and how YOU can make money. Think about the people that sign up – are they getting value from their membership or are they just looking to make money?

“wow” Nathanielle, you are the one trying to scam. Your trying to do a bait and switch witch is a dirty trick…. Not nice or ethical!!! I’m in direct door 2 door sales in which people have always said was not worthy! I make more money than most people with a formal education….. I’m an entrepreneur! Commitment and hard work have provided me a great living unlike no other! This is in defense to mlm. It provides a great future to many who are willing to follow the steps needed in order to reach different levels. It’s called hard, hard wk.. Success isn’t easy! I know several people in different mlm companies that receive a substantial residual income, and guess what I’m sure they enjoy it every month because they deserve it… Again hard work pays off…. To many people are lazy and don’t know what hard work is, they want something for nothing!!! My advice to anyone reading this, is never listen to anyone that discourages you from success find a mlm company with a product you can believe in, get with the leaders of that company and find out what they did in order to reach that level then duplicate it…. Reach for the stars and your dreams and let no one like Nathanielle discourage you from your dreams and goals!!!!!!

There is no bait and switch, so I think you need to get your idioms straight. WUN is a scam, and that’s what my article says. I don’t see an issue with also telling people what’s worked for me. Folks can make up their own mind, and are still welcome to read the info for what it is, and decide for themselves.

I’m not discouraging anyone. I’m simply voicing my opinion and trying to save people a ton of money and time.

First of all, if you have to pay a company to work for the company, its a SCAM. Think about it, what 9-5 job requires you to pay a fee to work…. Hmmmmmmmm none of them do. So if you have to pay a membership fee or a fee for some “training materials” for you to strive within the company, I can guarantee you, its a SCAM. Come on now people, lets stop trying to get rich fast, and do it the old fashion way. Remember the turtle and the hare story… Who won the race in the end.

Going to school may be a longer route, but at least I’m smart enough to recognize a SCAM when I see one, and I’m making pretty good money. Not rich, just comfortable, and I’m happy

Hi,My name is Josep and i am 18 years old. A friend just offered me to be part of wakeupnow. but he said i do not have to pay a membership if i get 3 people with me(which is totally different than what you mentioned). Besides he said it is more than selling products but more recruiting people and making this people recruit more people. i am not sure about this business. Is it about asking people to join and make money for that?. In the case it works like that ,it is cool but weird. He just recruited 12 people and received 600$ for that. so,i do not know what to think honestly. It would be helpful if you explain me a little bit how it starts and end because without that membership payment and getting discounts for many products on different stores, that looks nice but maybe there is a tricky part.thank you.

There is always a tricky part. You need to recruit 3 members just to join. It’s absolutely NOT a free product.

No one wants to get rich slow my friend. WEALTH building takes time. But getting rich doesn’t.

The statement you made is an automated response i see time and time again from people who don’t know how to make autopilot income. I avg 14k a month from ONE online business that took me 5 months to build. I feel rich (by my definition) and I can now focus on building wealth over the long term. Im 27 so i have time.

MLM is fine for some people, not for me though. I wouldnt knock it if it helped someone get out of debt etc.

LOL. Sorry bro, but there’s no way I believe that. Anyone who’s making $14k per month wouldn’t waste their time on my blog, let alone on this post.

These guys give legitimate Utah businesses such a bad name. It breaks my heart to see so many millions of people that have been scammed by the likes of the owners of this company. Do some research, and look up the Principle owners’ names listed on the BBB (where they don’t have a good rating). Then research some of the other businesses that they’ve owned…..it’s slimey, and I hope people see through this one before they are out too much money.

Just read that the owner’s name is Troy Muhlestein and the company used to be called Wordcraft Systems Inc. I’m checking it out now.

My son is trying to convince me to join this “business”. I’ve tried to explain to him this is just another pyramid scheme. He thinks I’m just being negative and unsupportative. These companies use people and sell them dreams of becoming millionaires by the age of 25. Really!!!! If it was so, everyone would be millionaires. I guess i will let him bump his head a few times until he comes to his senses.

Just make sure he doesn’t get into too much debt trying to do so! Most people move on after a few months of this stuff not working like it’s advertised.
