Wake Up Now Scam

Wake Up Now has long since died out. Want to actually make money online and not have a company disappear? My top recommendation has been around for more than a decade.

What Is Wake Up Now?

Pay a monthly subscription fee to get discounts on various products/services. Sell subscriptions to your friends in an MLM/Pyramid scheme fashion. One guy gets rich by selling subscriptions, so everyone then goes subscriptions instead of actually using the discounts for anything.

Short Review

In case you didn’t know network marketing is very similar to a pyramid scheme. The products and services featured in Wake Up Now can be found at OTHER companies that provide better service, higher quality products, and are not associated with sketchy business “opportunities”.

Remember: It’s very likely that you’ll be scamming friends and family with this stuff, so think long and hard if you would let someone close to you join something like this.

Why You Shouldn’t Pay Money Into This Garbage

No doubt the person trying to get you in on this opportunity told you two basic things.

  1. You can make a bunch of money doing this

  2. Wake Up Now has a great line of products.

Let’s address these two points.

1. There is a very high probability that you will make almost nothing. In fact, less than 1% of people selling this product make more than $8 grand per year.

wake up now income disclosure
56 of people make $010 per year 4 make about 8 grand Less than 1 make any sort of real income

2) Anything you can buy through WUN can be bought somewhere else, for cheaper, or with more value.

Wake Up Now Products

Why on Earth would I have WUN be my travel agent when I could use Expedia or Priceline, two companies that do this professionally, and are multi-billion dollar companies with the infrastructure to provide better deals and better support?

Would you trust Norton, McAfee, or a sales pitch called “Wake Up Now” to protect your computer from viruses and identity theft? I think the choice is obvious.

And there’s really not reason at all why I would choose to order some expensive energy drinks from this company when I can buy a Monster at the gas station for $1.50, or a Red Bull, or a Rock Star, or Amp, or the million other types of drinks out there.

The only reason do to any of these things would be if you were paying a monthly subscription

wake up now cost structure

Is There Anything Positive To Say?

As much as I knock their product line, I think they do a lot better job than these other companies that restrict their products to “digital downloads”. This is NOT an endorsement of this company, I just try to find something positive in every product/system I review.

Let’s Dig Into This Hot Garbage

The number one issue with this type of company is that paying a subscription to save money is ridiculous. I do not see the value in spending an extra $100 per month so that I can save money on energy drinks and vacations.

People get involved in “biz ops” like this because they want to make money. They want to change their lives for the better, provide themselves with more income, or achieve financial independence.

But how can you do this when you are paying a monthly fee in order to save money on items that you normally wouldn’t buy?

This is not making money. It’s just consumerism

Another issue I have with this company and network marketing in general is that this will NOT be a strong foundation for your future. Most people spend a lot of time hopping from one company to the next, each time buying into the “revolutionary system”, the “game changing product”, and the chance to “get in on the ground floor” before things really get hot…

But I’ve heard these stories so many times, and just a few years later, no one is talking about them.

Because no one wants to buy this junk. In my opinion, getting ANYONE into something like this means you are scamming them. I would not advise anyone to join anything that I would not join myself.

THIS is what Wake Up Now wants you to think you will be

wake up now dream

But in reality, THIS is what you will be

hey mom opportunity

Most of your work will be cold calling friends and family, telling them how great these deals are, how fantastic the product line is, and how much money they can make. Does this sound like you dream job to you? Not me.

Hilarious Short Movie About Verve, Vemma, And Wake Up Now

Are all your friends spamming Instagram and Facebook telling you what a life-changing opportunity this is? Do they get mad when you ask too many questions or say you’re not interested? Network Marketers are no stranger to brainwashing. Watch the video below.

Thumbs Down

UPDATE

Trouble on the horizon: WUN leader steps down. The same thing happened to Empower Network when one of their CEOs “became ill” and took off. Sounds like Vemma is in trouble, getting sued for pyramid selling.

Still don’t believe me? Listen to the reputable radio cast from NPR. If you can’t dedicate an hour to listen to this, you probably shouldn’t be spending your money on this thing:

UPDATE

WUN has officially stopped network marketing operations, and top sellers are jumping ship. People are getting sued. All hell is breaking loose. #toldyouso

There are a good chunk of people in my town that recently joined this, and they are recruiting others by instagram and facebook. It’s pretty funny because they’re basically pitching that by joining their Wake Up Now team, they will be creating themselves a better life and a great opportunity for financial success rather than working at a part or full time job

And of course that’s all part of the fascade. Tell people they will become successful, and you will become successful. They repeat the process. Evenetually, you run out of people.

      April 10, 2014 at 8:41 am

BTW how do they promote it via Instagram?

    • Angelica

      April 12, 2014 at 7:56 pm

They post pictures of the logo, and in the caption they write practically an essay on how awesome it is, how you will be successful if you try hard, by joining you are creating your own business and that they should join because celebrities are joining too. It got to the point where they claimed every business is a pyramid scheme, you just have to stop following the poor and follow the rich. It’s very irritating haha.

Lots of MLM companies do that – they tell you McDonalds and Apple are pyramids to make people think that “the world is wrong” instead of the the company being wrong. Many believe them, then come to my blog to tell me what an idiot I am! LOL

      April 23, 2014 at 3:16 pm

It’s not the opportunity to make money that’s for sale, it’s what they have to offer. That’s clearly stated in their terms and conditions. That’s exactly why I make sure anybody who signs up under me carefully read and acknowledge the terms and conditions. People don’t join companies, they join people. That’s why it’s important to work with people who are honest!

Sounds like a bunch of rhetoric fed to you by WUN.

      April 23, 2014 at 5:45 pm

Actually, that’s something I learned in college from my Business Marketing professor. Do you know the difference between direct selling and a pyramid scheme? Do you research these things? Do you have the educational knowledge and expertise to distinguish the two? Or are you one of those people who just look at something, go with YOUR opinion and call it a day?

    • Nathaniell

      April 23, 2014 at 6:25 pm

If you are in WUN I highly doubt YOU realize the difference.

Roxy if you actually went to college or took any business classes you’d see how foolish you sound.

“It’s not the opportunity to make money that’s for sale, it’s what they have to offer. ” FALSE, it is 100% the opportunity to make money that is for sale.
ill try to lay it out easily for you, and other people who got brainwashed, so hopefully YOU wake up, like….now.

-just to “make” money you need to recruit 3 people who each get 3 people.
-thats 12 people, 13 including you, in your downstream before you get ANYTHING.
-meanwhile you, and everyone in your “crew” is paying 100 dollars a month bare minimum.
-so you and your stream give WUN 1300 dollars a month, and in return they give you 600 (500 after you pay them back 100).
      – and thats assuming you get 3 people who also each get 3 people in your first month. the longer it takes you to reach the first plateau, the more money you lose.
-if you had a brain you’d realize you just gave a company 800 dollars in profit (because remember, after paying your 100$ monthly fee youre really only getting 500 bucks. and thats pre tax.) without them selling a single product.
-now think about all the additional money you, and your downstream, spend on their sub par crap (that you can find for free online anyways, ex. priceline, travelocity) and it gets even more ridiculous.

*if only you listened to logic you would leave your cult. i hope a) this comment gets approved and b) you read it roxy. if youre so open minded you will take it seriously and do some critical thinking and WAKE UP NOW and get a real job. dont be a slave to a pyramid.*

P.S. they make it sound so easy “oh just get 3 people who get 3 people!!”. but getting 3 people who get 3 people isnt enough. you have to constantly “grind” for new leads just to break even since, i assume, if at any point someone in your down stream quits you need to replace them to continue getting money.

If I was an idiot I would have fell for it. I had to search high and low for this article.thank you for doing it good sir.

Yeah, most people try to benefit by writing positive reviews and collecting referrals. It’s the typical chicken and the egg thing with MLMs. To have success you need to pretend to have success first.

Agreed, I found the same results when I dd the exact same google search. I heard about this poor excuse for an MLM pyramid scam after reading a complaint on Rip Off Report.com

It is absolutely a scam. A pyramid scheme just like every other Multi-Level-Marketing trap that has come out lately.

Glad you exposed this company for what it is…a sham. I had a friend contact me with the “offers” you noted above. I asked him some questions, things I needed to know to make a decision, and all he could keep saying was , “You can make a lot of money.” All talk, no answers. I said bye.

The crazy part is that they ask people to “wake up” but in fact they are hypnotizing them into the mindless trans of MLM. People with open eyes are the ones that will see the truth behind this company.
