What is it?
A motor club that offers members significant fees for referring others to the company and claims to be a significant income opportunity.
Motor Club of America seems like a good opportunity for income, but there is nothing this company offers that you can’t achieve you your own. Motor Club of America is misleading, and overemphasizes the potential income that it offers while underestimating the amount of challenging involved in actually making sales. Additionally, the motor club service that the company provides is uncompetitive in the modern market, meaning that the only real way to get people to sign up is to promote the company as an income opportunity.
Before You Buy
The main thing to be aware of about Motor Club of America is that the company has a startup fee as well as a monthly bill. The company also doesn’t make it clear that you will lose the majority of your commission if the person you refer ends up cancelling their membership.
What I Liked
Overall, I don’t like Motor Club of America, but it is a legitimate company, and some of its members are successful. One thing I did like about the company is that it does have a reputation of actually paying out its members and does so relatively soon after they earn the commission.
What I Didn’t Like
Honestly, I find the organization of Motor Club of America a little weird and suspicious. You have to pay membership on a monthly basis and this membership is for motor club protection and also become part of the referral program.
In theory, people who join the program do so to get the motor club aspect, but I doubt this is actually the case. Instead, most people end up joining the company because it is an income opportunity, and they want the chance to earn commissions through the referral program.
This is a risky approach, because actually making money through Motor Club of America is not as easy as it seems.
Actually Making Money
The Motor Club of America is presented as a simple income opportunity. People become sales associates for the company, and earn commissions based on the number of people they enroll (at around $80 to $90 per enrollment).
The thing is, getting people to buy things isn’t easy at the best of times. Selling Motor Club of America is even more difficult.
One of the challenges is that the service itself isn’t competitive, and you can other motor clubs that offer similar services for a lower price. You also don’t want to be selling Motor Club of America as a service, because actually earning decent money means recruiting other people and getting them to recruit others. Clearly, this isn’t going to work if the people you recruit aren’t interested in recruiting others.
This means that you have to promote Motor Club of America as an income opportunity, even though you probably aren’t actually earning income from it at that time. Overall, this makes for a pretty hard sell, particularly as many people interested in a motor club probably aren’t interested in an income opportunity.
The other major issue is competition. Not only are you competing against other motor clubs, but you have to compete against anyone else who is selling Motor Club of America memberships. In fact, you even end up competing against the people you recruit, which isn’t exactly a model for high levels of profit.
It’s also worth noting that Motor Club of America has a monthly cost, which means that you may potentially end up losing money rather than making it.
In its disclaimer, Motor Club of America makes it clear that it doesn’t consider the company to be any form of scam or multilevel marketing (MLM) company.
There are lots of different definitions out there, but generally speaking, a MLM company is one where you make money from people you recruit, creating a downline. In this type of company, the bigger your downline, the higher your profit overall is. When you look at the payment structure of Motor Club of America, you can see that this is exactly what the company is.
MLMs are a highly controversial type of company, and one I personally hate. The problem with it is that the higher you are up the chain, the more profitable you are. This means that the people who have recently joined don’t have that much of a chance at being successful. Additionally, the success of the company requires consistent recruiting of new associates, something that can be challenging.
Companies like Motor Club of America create income opportunities that people find exciting, but in reality they are little more than a marketing scam. All of the marketing for the company completely ignores the fact that it is possible to make your own income opportunity without having to rely on a company like this.
Perhaps the best example of this is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing works in a similar way, because you are promoting products and getting a commission for the sales. However, you get to pick your product and your audience, which can ultimately be more successful.
You also don’t have to pay a fee for the chance to earn a commission.
Who Is This Product For?
Some people do make money through Motor Club of America, and generally speaking they are people with a lot of connections who are very good at being convincing. If you fall into these categories, then Motor Club of America might be a good choice. Otherwise, I would really suggest steering clear of Motor Club of America. However, even for these people, I suspect that affiliate marketing is a much more profitable approach.
Companies like Motor Club of America are rarely good income opportunities in the long-term. Instead, you end up with significant competition and risk losing more money than you earn. Because of this, the #1 Recommendation of this site is to get training in affiliate marketing through Wealthy Affiliate. I completely support Wealthy Affiliate, because it provides training and resources suitable for people of all skill levels, and also offers a supportive community that makes the process of learning affiliate marketing easier.
