What's up everyone, my name's Nathaniell, and I'm the guy who started One More Cup of Coffee. I teach people how to make money from blogging. I've been doing this successfully for more than 10 years now, and honestly, it's a lot easier than you think. I can definitely show you how to do what I do, and how to design a pretty awesome lifestyle for yourself.

For me, being in this business isn't about getting rich. It's about having time to do the stuff I really want to do, like fix up my house, make beer on the weekends, and spend time with my family. In fact, the name One More Cup of Coffee came from the days when I worked a real job and hated having to rush out the door every morning.

All I wanted is a little bit of extra time in the morning for a second cup of coffee.

Well, that dream came true, and I can show you exactly how I did it and how you can repeat the same process for yourself.

I wasn't always an internet marketer; in fact, I've done quite a few different jobs over the years.

Internet marketing was just the career path that ‘clicked' for me, mostly because I could do it from the comfort of my own home and according to my own schedule.

But let's start a bit further back; if you're going to get to know me, you should know a bit about where I'm from and what I've done.

People always ask me…

They say, “Well, you got started in 2010. Did I miss the gravy train? I'm sure there's too much competition now, so I'd never stand a chance!”

But the funny thing is that it's easier than ever to make money online. Why? There's two simple reasons:

  1. More products are being sold online now. People are shifting more and more of their shopping habits to the online world and that just wasn't the case even 5-10 years ago. Even small businesses and grocery stores are selling their products on the internet!
  2. There are more tools to make starting your business easier. Before, you had to code everything in HTML and be internet savvy. Now, there's tools to automate everything. Thousands of people have made the journey before, and you can use their wisdom to make your path easier.

It's kind of like traveling. In the past, you had to take a ship and spend weeks on the ocean to reach far-off places. Once there, you had to make your own adventure!

Now, You can reach any destination in the world within 24 hours. There's a guidebook for every country in every language, and there are smartphone apps for instant translation to your native language.

Nowadays, it's easier than ever to get started making money online because there are so many more resources available to you, and you can just “follow the guidebook” to get where you need to go (owning a money-generating website).

So, back to the story of how I got started…

I grew up in California, but left soon after graduating high school to travel in Europe. I was completely bored in the US and wanted to see the world. At the time, I had a friend living in Prague, so used her house as my “home base” between trips. When I needed money, I freelanced as an English teacher.

Eventually I landed a pretty sweet job as a kindergarten teacher, so I was officially getting paid to play duck-duck-goose and hide-and-seek for a few hours a day.

After a few years doing that, I broadened my horizons and set my sights on China. I wanted to learn Mandarin and start the next chapter in my travels.

China was wild. I made tons of friends, traveled all over the country, and became fluent in Mandarin.

But after being in China for a while, I began thinking about my future. It had been ten years since I left the US. I was having a blast traveling, but I had no job security and saving any money very difficult working for low wages.

So I hatched a crazy plan to make US dollars while working in China. I wanted to start an internet based business so that I could work on my computer in China but earn US money. Even just $30 per day was basically a full time income in China.

It took me about six months of fumbling around: browsing around different sites, joining tons of mailing lists, watching hours of promotional videos, and following my share of purported “gurus” before I came across Wealthy Affiliate.

They were the legit online training center I was looking for. After three months of training I had made my first sale through my website. Six months after that I was generating regular sales. After a total of eighteen months working on my website I was earning over $10,000 per month so I quit my job in China and bought plane ticket back to the USA.

Thanks to my affiliate websites, by 2013 I owned my own home, a brand new truck, and a motorcycle! As of 2021, I'm married with a son, and still working from home “full time” (about 3 hours a day).

Personally, I'm kind of done with traveling for now and enjoy being a homebody. I like tinkering with my house and going on walks with my wife. It's a simple life. No Lamborghini's and no private islands, but I have a family and a couple hobbies, and I'm good with that.

One More Cup of Coffee is about helping you craft your own version of the perfect life. Where do you see yourself next year? What about 10 years down the road?

The cool thing about starting an affiliate blog is that you can take your business anywhere in the world and work at any hour of the day, any days of the week. You don't need any qualifications or prerequisites to learn. No degree required! You can learn everything online, and learn at your own pace.

Making money from your blog is pretty simple, but it takes a lot of work. Don't expect this to be a get-rich-quick thing. If you're ready to put in the hours consistently over the next year or two, I'm ready to share my knowledge with you and help you start earning money on the internet, through your own blog.

    Hi Nathieneil,

what is the training program that you recommend the most for newbies who want to start out in niche site marketing? And what do you think of Screw 9 5? I am not sure which is best for me them or WA.

From what I hear, Screw 9 5 is pretty good. I don’t really like the “stoner” branding that the owner has done, but last time I read about it, the course was supposed to be legit.

For me however, Wealthy Affiliate is the most newbie friendly way to get started, since there is a great community, it’s family friendly, and it’s how I got started when I was a newbie!

    Hi,

I have been reading many reviews on many different online money making “Opportunities”. I am looking for something I can really count on to develop a livable income. I do not and cannot afford to waste my time or money, so I would like to ask you a few more questions about your personal success with WA. Would you mind emailing me?

Thanks in advance for your time.

You are welcome to ask the questions right here on my About Me page Paco! I understand that you do not want to “waste time or money”, but if you are seeking an alternative lifestyle or alternative employment, you need to be willing to take on some risk. I know that the idea of online marketing very unfamiliar, but any money or time you spend trying things out is not wasted – it’s invested! Everything is a learning experience that we can grow from.

      Looking forward to your questions!

    Dear Nathaniell,

I’m not sure what prompted me to spend so much time reading exchanges here. Perhaps because my husband seem to think I’d do great in creating my own blog. Whatever my reasons, I thought it’d be nice to thank you for the opportunity to learn that simple words such as “traffic” and “content” take on whole new meanings when it comes to the Internet!!! In my kitchen, “traffic” means my husband and our son are there not to help me, rather getting in my way; and “content” are all those nutritional values I look for whenever I dare to open a can that once contained something called “food”! Pardon my silly analogies! I’m just a wife and mother who happens to think God is The Only One Who is Good and that indeed, He does possess and loves wit…though I trust He loves witty people better than wit itself…

Thank you for showing how truly ignorant I am. I mean, if it getting across terms such as Jaxxy, SEO, Q something rather, PBN (public and private), and backlinking wasn’t quite adventurous, that Saun guy sure got in my way to better enjoy my time here! Nevertheless, in all fairness to Saun and the myriad of people who think just because something is free of charge (yeah, as if there’s such thing as free gifts beyond what Christ extended to us!), or that just because someone is charging a fee for their services they’ve automatically earned their credits among crooks, I must say I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t find any mentioning of ETHICS here. Now, I’m not saying you haven’t covered such important aspect of life, especially where faith and business are concerned…actually, to me, your moral foundation is definitely the basis for the way you believe you must conduct yourself, which is said to be your character and the integrity for which your ethics is made true.

I have seen no fault in what you do and thought you were like a breath of fresh air among myriad bloggers in the WWW (World Wide Web). I’m not sure whether I’d throw a cheap one in defending yourself from poorly stated accusations from Shaun by going in his own web place and determining that he’s not gaining popularity within online business. Whether that’s true or not, that’s not the point. You had all the right to do such thing, after all, it was Shaun who portrayed himself as “your polite guest” only to let his claws out afterwards. What I’m saying is that I trust God actually gave you talent and I do pray you mean what you say when you claim that, after being helped by so many people, you’re after your turn in “paying it forward”, which I absolutely applauded you for should that be indeed the case. Not that I’m comparing you with my own son. But if I were your mother, I’d say “Nathan, don’t pay others in the same way they do unto you when they’re after your destruction!” You got to be better than that if you want to get the public’s attention.

This is indeed a sinful world, filled with people trying to lure other into thinking they’re someone they’re far from understanding! Scams used to be something people tried to hide because most people had enough discernment to know that trying to trick others by lying is actually a crime and absolutely shameful behavior. These days, scams are not even condoned and widely practiced by greedy people, they are shamefully openly marketed!
What I love about you, well, the way you write, which I choose to trust is indeed how you believe, is that you don’t try to throw “wheesh washy” (sp?) words, rather you’re upfront in answering questions concerning how long it’d take for a member to start selling whatever they’re trying to sell. I find it amazing that adults in 2015 would actually go public with questions whose answer only God could possibly know! Instead, you promote the truth by saying (not in so many words) that “only those who are willing to work hard MIGHT have a chance in making their first sale, which MAY BE followed by others”! Everyone seem eager to want some type of guarantee in this life.

As per my prior remarks, by now you probably know that personally, I only place my trust in THE ONE WHO DIED FOR ALL OF US in the cross. Nope, I’m not a religious person or fanatic…although I’m considering that there may not be wrong in being fanatic about Jesus, as long as “fanatic” doesn’t translate in lunatic who lost sight of The Person as well as His message, rather one who has genuine passion for Him and model such passion through faith that makes itself alive by its work!

Keep up the good works! You sound as a young man who was quite blessed with enough means to go around the world. I’m sure you make mistakes just like all other aliens who are here on a temporary ticket, just like me. Nevertheless, I truly admire you for not using your electronic device to entertain yourself only, though I find nothing wrong with a few minutes investments we all make in looking and reading stuff we know nothing about, such as online marketing, or perhaps just watching good movies such as God’s Not Dead and Jerusalem Countdown…even playing games, although I must admit this mother has had her difficulties in understanding how this generation of children seem to be born knowing how to intentionally touch a scream then getting where they want to be within the screen WITHOUT being thought – and yes, I speak for my own boy! One of these days, rather than saying “mum, dada, or even ball” a toddler’s first word might come out as “Stampy” or even “Minecraft”! Oh Lord, it’s time I go into prayer! LOL!

Thanks for teaching me so much about MLM! I happened to “bump” into your link when searching for what appeared to be credible reviews on Nature’s Sunshine MLM and products. I personally rated your review the most informative and unbiased review. Being involved with FOUR MLM companies, three of which are only memberships for us to consume their stuff at discounted prices, the fourth one happened recently and without our full knowledge as to what we were getting ourselves into. I am very sick (physically) but find that I rather be sick in physical health than sick in ethics, which are the people involved with trying to shove MLM businesses and products down the throats of loved ones. I’m guilty of holding 31 parties (3 in total) but our credit card account and receipts can prove how much more our investments were versus the “pay check” I got! Ha! That’s quite the joke! Recently, we’ve been lured into spending almost $500 under the false impression we were going to see a fabulous doctor out of our state line, in the promise that such doctor actually specialized in a serious illness I might have. The “doctor” turned out to be a naturopathic medicine informed person tied with Nature’s Sunshine MLM business. It’s a long story and I’ve taken enough of your precious time!

God bless you and again, thank you for being “my breath of fresh air” and for offering quality, unbiased, honest reviews! I see as honest because you aren’t involved with the stuff you review. Go easy on the “bad wolves” who come to you wearing little lamb uniforms! If you are honest, are working hard for what you do, are not taking advantage of others by selling lies, and you uphold outstanding business (don’t forget faith and moral!) ethics, then, you have no reason for lowering your standards to the cheap shots I’m guessing you get on a daily basis. Trying to explain your business and how you go about doing it is definitely great and definitely a must! But going out there to check the wolves credentials will only lower your own credibility.

I know that’s a right and prerogative you have but from a former business owner (fitness business) to an Internet businessman, the quality of your business and your ethics and conduct will sell and defend you on its own. People used to be uninformed. In today’s world, even the uninformed have basic knowledge of things we once never dreamed of knowing! In other words, don’t get defensive! If you do, it means you have something to fear and people can “smell” your worms as soon as you open your can! I know you’re only trying to show your audience that the guy questioning your credibility is quite questionable himself. I trust consumers in general aren’t impressed with personal attacks. Who likes a person who cares to destroy their enemies and gloat over at their enemies defeat? But if you show true compassion to your apprentices, especially if they are ill intended, your grace and care for them will be a much more effective “weapon”, disarming all their attempts to discredit you in your hard working, well intended character!

Thanks again and God bless you!

    Sincerely,

    Lucia Gunn

Thank you for taking the time to read so much of my site Lucia! I think your experience with MLM is pretty common, in that folks invest a lot more money than they actually make. But I try to make my website no so much about MLM, and more about how one can build an online business, mainly focused on affiliate marketing.

I appreciate your positive comments, and good luck with your future business ventures, either online or off!
