What Is It?
P1 RankMe is a WordPress plugin that automatically builds backlinks to your website from a network of unknown websites.
Short Review
Getting low quality backlinks to your website can damage your website rank, and thus business earnings, over time. I do not do any link building, and recommend you do the same.
Before You Buy
Peter Garety previously launched a plugin called the P1 Traffic Machine that everyone had a conniption fit about a while back, but now seem to have completely forgotten about. It was a similar style of plugin, advertised as “completely automated”, making online business easy and it would skyrocket you earnings by creating automatically soloed websites.
Well, I a few months later I’m ranked #2 for the the term “P1 Traffic Machine Review”, and no one seems to care enough to stop by and tell me I’m wrong.
I suspect a similar thing will happen with P1 RankMe. It launched recently, so expect uber amounts of hype over the next few days, and then crickets.
Han Fan, YouTube’s most famous shill review creator has already created six videos about it.
One user has already created a $1,000,000 bonus offer. lol. Be sure to pick that one up! (sarcasm)

1 million dollars AND a lovely forest thumbnail? So difficult to resist buying…
What I Liked
As much as I hate backlinking because it destroyed one of my previous websites (1,000 visits per day to under 100), I wonder if this plugin does work temporarily.
I did a search for P1 RankMe Reviews, and all of page 1 was pure crap. I mean, just look at this: TWO of the top 10 results are from the same website! To make matters worse, 1 page is empty, and 1 page is a 404.
Hurry up and do your job Google!
Also, when I got started in online marketing, I did use various backlinking techniques like Social Monkee, BMR, Linkvana, and some auto social bookmarking sites. So, I know what a pain in the butt it can be to set up all those social profiles, create custom descriptions and tweak the endless amount of settings. The way this plugin is set up, it does sound pretty easy to use.
What I Didn’t Like
Automatic Backlinking Software
I’m just going to come out and say it: I will never use automatically backlinking software, and believe that anyone who does use it is killing their long term business prospects.
Google catches up with everyone.
If you honestly believe that there is a software you can plug into your website to make you rank above everyone else, then you still have a lot to learn about online marketing my friend.
Perhaps churn and burn marketing is your style though. Build a quick website, link the hell out of it, rank it for a week, promote some crappy Clickbank products, and do it again after Google slaps it.
If that’s the case, I’m not sure this review will be very convincing for you. If you have a legitimate website and are just concerned that you are not ranking as well as you think you should, there are other ways to gain rank that do not involve installing this junk on your site.
No One Buying It?
I checked out some of the initial reviews on the Warrior forum, and from what I can tell, no one is actually buying the software, but everyone wants to know if it works!
In fact, someone wrote up a whole sales pitch, saying how well it works and how it’s going to boost your rank so much…then forgot to respond to the ONE inquiry on his sales page.

Doesn't seem like this product launch is buzzing much
Secret PBN Is Not-So-Secret
Supposedly the links are coming from a secret PBN that cannot be exposed in order to keep it a secret.
Well, it’s not going to stay secret for long. To find out which sites are in the PBN, just buy P1 RankMe, then check Google Webmaster tools to see which websites link to you. Duh. I don’t get why Garety is making this out to be like he’s protecting the users.
We also are not told what anchor text is used (to prevent over optimization or keyword stuffing), when the links are created (to prevent unnatural linking warnings), or many other factors that come into play when building backlinks.
We’re just supposed to trust that the software works and that all the back end stuff is being taken care of properly. No thanks!
BTW, in case you forgot, using PBNs is playing with fire.

Oh Really? Garety cracked Google's code finally? Not.
One Time Fee Is A Sign Of Trouble
If this is a private network of websites, there has to be server costs and other maintenance fees associated with running the network.
However, the plugin is a one time fee, and we are able to build backlinks for life.
What this spells out to me is that you need more customers coming in to pay for costs. But as hype dies down and fewer customers come in, costs starts to exceed profits, and it’s time for the creator to move on to the next product.
BTW, I think it’s total BS that he’s listed the “regular price” of the plugin as $800-$1500. When was the last time you paid more than $300 for a WordPress plugin?
Final Review
I would never use something like P1 RankMe on a website I planned to keep around for more than a few months. I also don’t see the value in creating trashy throw-away sites to earn a few bucks then disappear.
What Now?
If you are spending all this time and money trying to break the rules, why not spend that same energy on building a real business that people can trust?
The #1 reason people don’t rank is because they simply haven’t been working hard enough on their business. This includes creating enough content, networking with the right people on social media, and actually creating content that people want to read.
There’s no easy formula to rank or make money online. But the more you search for that formula, the more you get suckered into purchasing automatic ranking party tricks like P1 RankMe.
What are your thoughts? Have you had any long term success with automatically generating backlinks?

THIS is a REAL review of this product and unfortunately, 9 times out of 10, when a JV Zoo product drops like this one, emails and search engines are inundated with hyped up scams like this one. I can’t stand the countless e-mails from marketers that heavily promote these types of products and it is such an easy indicator to unsubscribe from their list. Occasionally, some of them are so absurd, I will actually stick around just to see how far they will take their BS.
Even worse, the “gurus” who purchase throw away domains, proxies and use other BH methods to very quickly rank in Google to pawn off hyped up garbage that is exactly like this plug-in. There are SO MANY other plug-ins and “automatic” BS that is slapped together and thrown out there every other day, especially from places like JV and Warrior. These places particularly may not be 100% hyped up scams, but I would confidently say that 95-98% of it is very similar hyped up crap that does NOT have the customer’s best interest in mind. The product creators and their affiliates are really not selling anything, but HYPE!
In fact, it’s just the opposite! Those top ten rankings for the newest “automated” profit BS that you see with the “$72,486 worth of bonuses!” are IMO, the worst type of scams and scumbags that exist in the IM space. They give legitimate opportunities such a terrible name and I can understand why.
They leech off of those that are passionately and eagerly trying to start their own website and create a profitable business by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge in this space at the time they are searching for information about products like these.
They don’t care about Google penalties or whether the product is going to help anyone, let alone be around anymore in 6 months because they know that these types of products will go through 1-3 weeks of heavily persuasive and deceptive marketing hype that will cause TONS of people to search for the product name and reviews, they make their commissions, send them some link to their $80,000 in bonuses that is usually a nightmare to actually download everything and move on to the next hyped up trash. Meanwhile, a ton of innocent people that took their word and spent their hard earned money and time are now SOL.
The best part about 95% of these “bonuses” is that they are giving completely outdated garbage usually, too! I have literally seen bonuses that have eBooks, plug-ins and software from 2006 that didn’t even work back then! LOL, it’s madness!
Anyway, sorry for the rant here, but I hope a TON of people find this review and your other reviews about similar products so that they can learn the TRUTH about them! I agree with everything you said in this review. However, backlinks are definitely NOT bad nor something I believe Google will weed out. However, they ARE absolutely weeding out and penalizing low quality, purchased, irrelevant links from PBN’s or whatever other new “secret” method these guys claim to have “discovered” next.
You’re the man! Keep up the great work!
I’m glad you found my review. How far did you have to dig? You are right that most of the guys ranking on page 1 got there with shady backlinks. They eventually fade. I guarantee I’ll be page one in a few months, but it does take time to get there when you’ve got a lot of douches falsely jacking their stats. When the algorithm catches them, they’re gone though.
Anyway, thanks for finding my review and for writing that AWESOME comment Howie.
Thank you for this review. It was very useful. I agree, that the content will give you the ranking…
Yeah, so many people are looking for shortcuts, they forget that real people read what they write (or copy). So no matter how much traffic you get, you still have to convert to sales with your written words!
Thanks so much for review ! Was really wondering if such plug-ins really work. I don’t suppose it is THAT easy to get good traffic . Great site !
If it was that easy to get traffic, everyone would be downloading this plugin and rolling in the money! Sadly, this is just another example of clever advertising and a product that doesn’t really deliver what was promised.
Hi Nathaniell,
I’d say your P1 RankMe review is spot on. Sounds like a lot of hype to make some quick sales and then bail out. I wouldn’t be surprised if that isn’t part of the spam i’m seeing on my website comments. They talk about SEO and how I need to be doing different things to improve it. But it’s always the same message from some random url. I just delete it. Thanks.
That’s exactly right Ed…even if you do somehow manage to get a few sales from P1 RankMe, it’s not like this is a legitimate long term business. If I had the choice to build 100 short term businesses or 1 long term business, I’d choose the latter!
Thanks for the great review, I was looking for something like this for my site but now I know that not this one. Great to know,
Seth
Yeah, best to stay away from anything automated!
Thank you for the valuable information and your perspective on it. Especially, since you are someone who has been there and done that. Now, I know what not to do:)
Sometimes people advertise this stuff as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Savvy marketers know to stay away, and it’s the newbies that get sucked in!
Hi Nathaniell
Love your no BS style of writing! It’s very refreshing. I totally agree with you in regard to this plug in. If you build a website, it should not be about making quick money and then disappearing. It should be about having quality content so that readers actually respect you and see you as an authority in the field. And that prices for that plug in are just simply ridiculous. I mean, come on, who would actually believe that those are the regular prices??
Seriously. I’d never pay $1000 for a plugin that links me from mystery sites. I could buy a whole new website for that much!
You know ..I’ve really only started out my journey in online business and I do know that it’s all about traffic. It’s like a High Steet – the more people walk the street, the more people are likely to look in your shop window – the more people look in your shop window, the more customers are likely to drop in. However, I’m convinced – though I may be wrong – that good content is where it’s at. I haven’t made money from this business yet, but I’m convinced that as long as I focus on delivering the goods – quality content – then the traffic will come – regardless of the quick fix traffic generator mumbo jumbo crap that’s out there.
I’ve tried lots of quickfixes in the past, and all of them have come back to bite me in the butt.
If only it was that easy to get traffic! Just install a plugin that builds you backlinks and voila you get traffic. I now know better then to fall for such a product. Thanks for your honest review
That’s pretty much what P1 RankMe is trying to sell you…easy traffic. It’s actually what a lot of scam plugins are trying to sell you, and they never really work as advertised!
wow this seems like a complete rip off! It is ridiculous. Not only that but from what i understood backlinks are not as important as they used to be, and a ton of random crappy ones were never good. That is just my understanding though, and i am pretty new
Backlinks are still useful, but their value is waning with time…or at least Google wants to head that way. Anyway, natural backlinks are better than anything. Unnatural stuff will definitely get you a penalty!
So what I’m learning here….is this a tutorial?….
Back linking is bad and should not be practise.
Love your site and the set up.
Thanks for having me Nathaniell
Larry
It’s not that backlinking is bad….it’s that UNNATURAL linking is bad. If you go and try to get backlinks, you’ll probably get hit with a penalty. It’s best to let people link to you naturally! There are a number of ways to do this, but targeting low competition keywords and having active social media profiles are two common ways.
Thank you for busting the myth of one more get rich quick scam Nathaniell! I’m certain I’ll have one more cup of coffee and focus my $ and energy elsewhere.
There will never be an end to the get-rich-quick mentality. As soon as P1 RankMe goes bust, there will be another plugin, offer, or scheme to take its place. Thanks for stopping by Eric.
Thanks for the honest review, really appreciated! I was just wondering whether to buy P1 RankMe but now I know not to. Thank you!
Glad you found my review and thought it was helpful. You’ll be a lot more successful in your business in you do not I eat money into automated options right from the beginning, and completely ignore back linking as a method to gain rank.
