What Is It?
Video Titan is software to help you create videos and simple websites that use videos. These videos can be used to drive traffic to websites and landing pages, or to add promotional links within the video description. In my review, I want to see not only what the software can do, but if it could truly build a legitimate source of online income.
The Video Titan software does work, and is able to create videos as well as simple landing pages that contain videos. However, the videos created with the software are not high quality. They are very clearly promotional videos and in my opinion will not lead to high conversions.
That being said, you are only limited by your creativity. For $20, Video Titan may be worth experimenting with to build a robust YouTube channel with simple videos especially if you have no experience making videos or money to pay someone to make them.
Before You Buy Video Titan
I received a promo for Video Titan is an email, so I figured I’d check it out. Much of the promotional material on the landing page was too sensational for me. I was pretty sure this was going to be a scam.
However, the name “Titan” sounded familiar. It turns out that I reviewed another product from Chris X and Ken O called T-Shirt Titan that I really liked. OK, maybe this won’t be so bad after all!
Once inside the product, there are five basic instructional videos to guide you on how to use the different types of software.
- Video 1: Tube Titan (Video Researcher) 1:05
- Video 2: 1 Click Video Creator Software 3:18
- Video 3: 1 Click Video Pages Software 1:03
- Video 4: Video Dynamite Software 7:00
- Video 5: Tube Traffic Software 6:22
There are also a number of bonus PDF guides which I found useful. Actually, this was surprising because mostly the “bonuses” you get in JVZoo products are throwaways but these seemed pretty interesting. I just skimmed them, but from what I read they seemed good.
- “YouTube PPC” Video system
- “Affiliate” Video system
- “Facebook Ads” Video system
- “YouTube SEO” Video system
- “Useful Video Links” bonus
- “Recording with your smartphone” bonus
What I Liked About Video Titan
Easy Squeeze Page Builder
For most people, building a squeeze page is incredibly hard in the beginning. Learning how to navigate WordPress, or even trying to find the right plugin to do the thing you want is confusing.
The fact that you can build your page with a video included is quite handy for newbies. One possible issue is however that your page is now hosted somewhere on Video Titan’s hosting account. What happens if you get tons of traffic to this page?
…chances are your site is going down. What then? How do you move your page? hosting at Video Titan kinda locks you in.
Personally, I’d rather self-host with my choice of registrar and host, then use something simple like Thrive Content Builder to make my landing page. It’s much more healthy for your business in the long run.
Recommendations For Subtitles & Transcriptions
Chris gives us some really good recommendations for getting your videos transcribed and why it’s important to have subtitles on your videos. Plus, he tells us how we can get it done for cheap.
You could say, “Well, you can find that stuff out anywhere”, but did you think of it before I mentioned it? Probably not. Anyway, information like that is worth paying for!
The bonus PDF guides included with your Video Titan membership were definitely useful and interesting. I just skimmed them, so didn’t read them in detail, but from what I saw they were probably worth the $20 you paid for Video Titan.
In a nutshell, for the price of Video Titan, you get a lot of information to take action on. It’s not perfect, and it won’t create a full time income for anyone in my opinion, but it’s a pretty good place to start.
Twenty bucks doesn’t buy a lot these days, so the fact that you have actionable information and software that actually works is pretty good.
Pre-made Tools You Can Use
Included with your membership is access to animations and presenters to help customize your videos. This is pretty neat that it'll save you some money on creating or finding these things yourself. There is a catch though. As far as I can tell, the “presenters” just means you get a spreadsheet with their Fiverr gigs listed. You don't actually get premade videos with them talking.
Of course this makes sense, because they can only stay stuff related to the niche you picked, but the advertising sales page made it seem like you get free speaker templates. Maybe I just didn't see them.
What I Didn’t Like About Video Titan
Members Area Disorganized
I was really confused on what I was supposed to do when I landed inside Video Titan. Everyone was on one long page. There were instructional videos, for sure, but what were all those links for?
Some opened software, some were links PDFs…I didn’t know what was a crucial part of the course and what was extra. There was also no “start to finish” overview that described exactly what I was doing. Oh, and no “final product” to actually see what it should look like when I’m done.
I supposed that’s maybe good, in that it leaves it open to interpretation, and allows you some creativity when figuring out
You’re Creating Low Quality Videos
Essentially, we’re creating low quality YouTube videos and mass uploading to YouTube. They aren’t spam – if you don’t want them to be – but if the idea is to create videos fast and capture keywords to rank and make sales, we’re doing as little work as possible.
Here’s an example of something we’d create with the software. This may even be better than what you’ll be able to do right out of the gate.
Note: This video was not made with Video Titan. It's just a finished example that's similar to what you'd be creating.
Would you buy a slow cooker from this person? Probably not. It’s pretty obvious that it’s a template. The video does have over 2,000 views, but there are no ratings and no comments so it’s hard to say whether people like it or not.
The key to making actual sales online is providing useful information. I’m not convinced that just ranking for a keyword and having a video template with an Amazon link in the description is going to be a viable business strategy.
Without a bit more creativity and unique input, I can’t see this strategy working for more than a few random sales. In high volume, maybe that could produce some kind of income, but not as a long term business in my opinion.
You Could Probably Do Better On Your Own
At $5 a pop, you could probably just have someone make these types of videos on Fiverr and upload them with similar results.
As a long term plan though, I really think you need to provide VALUE in order to make money. If you know that much about your niche, write your own articles and make your own videos. If you don’t know about your niche, learn about it. Trying to “appear” as an authority is very transparent and most people won’t respond to it by pulling out dollars.
For $20, you get an okay product that I think some people would find useful. Personally, I don’t think it’s a long term business plan, and I don’t think you get enough information to really make a breakthrough and start earning good money online.
