Young Loving offers expensive products that are far from unique in the marketplace. While the company does offer a range of products, the compensation plan and price of products would make it very difficult to convince people to actually buy the products.
Herbalife is often called a pyramid scheme, with good reason. Distributors purchase products from the person that recruited them, while earning commissions from sales and from the people that they recruit. For the majority of people, this system results in a substantial loss of money, and the only real way to earn money is to be unethical and misleading. Even then, actually earning money is far from guaranteed.
The concept behind Pure Romance makes some sense to me and I can see there being some demand for the products and the parties. However, even with that, this is not something that you could turn into a long-term successful business. At the end of the day, the company uses a similar structure to other MLMs, one that places strong emphasis on recruitment and team building. That simply isn’t an effective way to make money.
As programs go, Avon is a very well-known program, and there are many Avon reps out there who try to use Avon as a way to make money. There are many advantages of Avon, but as a money making tool alone, it is unlikely to be effective for most people. The problem with Avon is that you are responsible for getting your own customers through networking.
Many MLMs don’t hang around all that long, but Mary Kay is an exception to that general rule. Don’t let its long history fool you though, as the company is still similar to other MLMs in many ways. Certainly, it has a complex commission scheme that heavily relies on recruiting others and growing your downline.
