Affiliate Program Reviews
Not all affiliate programs are good! After 10 years in the biz, I've had my share of problems with affiliate programs. Big problems.
The first time I had an issue was when a company stopped paying on time. I got sassy with them, so they just deleted my account. Losing $2500 and having to redo all of my affiliate promotions was devastating at the time. Lessons learned. Don't sass the bank before you get paid.
The second big issue I had was when I sold a couple of my websites. My main-earning affiliate program refused to transfer the recurring affiliate commissions to the new site owner. $1500/month with a 24x multiple for the sale is a loss of $36,000. Shit. That upset me.
But what are you gonna do.
So these affiliate program reviews are no joke. Part of our review process is to look for negative comments online, and also check out how long the program has been around.
Most of the times, affiliate programs are legit though. It's pretty rare to get screwed over like those two examples above.
The content in these reviews is stuff like how to sign up, navigation of the affiliate area, and how to create tracking links with the tools they provide (if any).
Perhaps the most useful part of the reviews is the affiliate tips sections, where I cover website ideas and tips for promoting your affiliate links. Of course, my entire website is about making money through affiliate marketing, so be sure to check out the menu area for helpful links.

Getting ready to launch into the online affiliate blogging and marketing sphere? There are probably a few companies that come to mind right away like Amazon or eBay, but I recently found out that even Walmart has their own affiliate program. This is amazing news as so many of us spend most of our weekly […]
If you’re like everyone else that has internet access, you get sucked into sites looking for new electronics, clothes, home decor, and other random things. Online shopping is much more relaxing than taking a trip to the store and dealing with the public. Plus, you have way more stuff to choose from online – you […]
While most travel writers and travel agencies know about the standard hotel/flight companies and their corresponding affiliate programs, many don’t know that there are also land travel companies available as well like 12Go. When I first found this out about this I got really excited because I write a lot of DIY type guides helping […]
