Survey sites are pretty common online, but Paid Surveys Online doesn’t get off to a good start. In fact, the site looks hastily put together and it doesn’t exactly look like any type of legitimate business.
One interesting thing is that the site can’t even seem to work out how money you can make. At one point it claims pay from $10 to $25 per hour, but later on the figure is $5 to $95 per hour. This is an indication that the numbers presented aren’t actually real. Rather, they are just estimations pulled from nowhere because they look good.
Likewise, the site spends a lot of time talking about doing surveys for money, but then lists how much money you can earn doing other things, like travelling, watching movie trailers and driving your car. It’s almost like the site can’t quite make up its mind what it is promoting.
What The Site Offers
According to Paid Surveys Online, the site is offering a ‘dream job’. You simply log on, fill out surveys whenever you want. The site even claims that people have quit their job doing surveys. That isn’t likely to be the case, because surveys aren’t all that good for earning money.
But in reality, Paid Surveys Online doesn’t even offer surveys. The site actually charges you to register and just offers a list of surveys for people who do sign up.
This is an incredible waste of money. If you really wanted to find good survey sites online, there are plenty of free lists online. Some sites even rank different survey companies to help people find which ones are best for earning money.
Surveys For Money
The idea of doing survey centers on the concept that companies pay a lot of money to get people’s opinions. Paid Surveys Online seems to think that this is anywhere from $5 a survey all the way up.
That’s not really true though.
Online surveys are just one way that companies have to find out people’s opinions. Realistically, surveys aren’t even that great for companies. After all, most of the people who take these surveys are earning money for them, and trying to get as many completed as quickly as possible. So, the people filling out surveys aren’t likely to be honest.
Companies also have other ways to find out people’s opinions, ways that don’t involve them paying survey sites. Because of this, most survey sites don’t actually pay all that much per survey.
In the course of reviewing product for making money online I’ve been through more than 20 individual survey sites and read reviews of many others. On average, surveys tend to pay somewhere from around $0.25 to $2.00 and most of them are under $1.00.
Doing the surveys also takes time, quite a bit of it. I’ve done surveys that have taken two or three minutes, sure. But I’ve also quit surveys after 20 or 30 minutes of work without ever getting to the end of them. In fact, finding the short surveys can actually be quite difficult.
To make matters worse, you have to complete qualifying surveys to even get to do the real surveys. These do tend to be short, but you rarely get paid for them. You might find yourself going through five or more qualifying surveys to get to one survey that you can actually complete.
All of this takes time and it takes effort.
All the while, you have to rely on the site (or sites) to actually deliver surveys and to credit you appropriately. Most survey sites don’t offer all that many surveys at once, so there is quite a wait period sometimes.
Earning Money More Effectively
Doing surveys for money is only ever going to earn you a little bit of money, much less than Paid Surveys Online claims. You also end up putting in much more work than you should for that amount of money.
Making money online can be effective and some people really do quit their jobs this way. However, survey sites aren’t the way to go. Instead, you can make money through your own blog, which gives you the chance to make money from something you are passionate about. You can find out more in the free course that I offer, including which methods I used to earn enough money to quit my job.
