What Is It?
Automated backlinking software
A nice idea; that you could automate backlinking and trick Google into loving your website, but it simply doesn't work, and might even damage your reputation online.
Before You Buy:
They've a few exciting and lofty-sounding videos explaining just HOW MANY backlinks you can get per day by using their software. They say how easy it is, and how automation makes the process of getting fresh backlinks to your site.
Later on down the road they try to sell you membership upgrades that were not advertised in the beginning, showing you where the ‘real power' of their service is kept.
After that, a new membership level is introduced. There will no doubt be more levels introduced down the road. Plus, you will get an influx of emails promoting other people's ‘make money online' products and services.
What I Liked:
I joined their service more than a year ago when backlinking was the ‘hot item', and everyone was looking for ways to get more links, faster. There's a free level of membership, so I started up. Pretty soon, I thought I saw some indication that it was working, so I upgraded.
Some time later, I upgraded again.
A while later, I upgraded again.
I was drunk on backlinking, getting many each day, all automated, with ‘spun' content I outsourced. I thought I was doing great, but little did I know…
What I Didn't Like:
It was about that time that Penguin hit (A Google algorithm update), and many of my sites lost 40-60% of their traffic due to low quality backlinks. Social Monkee was not the only low quality backlinking I had done, but it was part of the problem.
Social Monkee gets you a lot of backlinks. That is true. But they are low quality. Plus, Google's newest updates, and future updates will surely follow suit, make backlinks more irrelevant, and low quality backlinks may actually damage your sites rank.
Social Monkee advocates article spinning and backlinking which are outdated techniques.
Who Is This Product For:
Anyone who still believes that large amounts of low quality backlinks + spun article content can get you good ranking in Google.
