What is it?
Hyped up training for how you can make money through Fiverr by selling video intros – into an already saturated market.
Smart Five.rr Profits seems to think that you can make a ton of money by selling videos that you get for free within an already saturated market. It is challenging to compete in the Fiverr marketplace to start off with and even more challenging when you have a product that simply isn’t unique.
Before You Buy
As always, Smart Fiver.rr Profits presents you with an upsell before you ever get to what you paid for. I know that OTO's are part of the game that marketers play, but when I don't actually know what I'm buying in the first place (mystery Fiverr system in this case), it's hard to know if the upsell is something I really want.
Honestly, it's just a cash grab IMO, and I don't feel like the product creators were doing anything other than make an extra buck on me because they know that upsells convert.
What I Liked
The product has a low price, so it might be useful for a little bit of insight into Fiverr and some templates for making videos. However, for most people, it probably isn’t worth the bother.
What I Didn’t Like
A major issue with this product is that it simply doesn’t offer much. The members’ area simply contains one video. That’s it. One. No other information or training, just a single solitary video.
Everything else on the site is just an upsell, which is beyond frustrating. There was a single pdf also, but all that offered was basically a repeat of the video with no new information.
I don’t care how good a system is, it takes more than a single video to teach people how to make money from it. That’s particularly true for Smart Five.rr Profits, because the site is targeting newbies and many users won’t even have used Fiverr before.
The site claims that you can make between $50 and $80 per hour with what Smart Five.rr Profits teaches. This seems to be based on the idea that it takes from 2-3 minutes to complete an order and you get $5 each time.
There are several problems with this.
First, you don’t actually earn $5 per sale, because Fiverr takes a hefty fee (20% of earnings for each sale).
Second, the total of $50 to $80 per hour pretty much assumes that you will be getting that you will be constantly getting sales. That is pretty unlikely. Instead, you might find yourself getting a handful of sales per day or even less.
If that is the case, then the amount of money that you actually make is considerably lower.
Only 1 System?!?!?!
Fiverr is an interesting platform for making money online. Yes, it is possible to make money online that way and I imagine that some people on there really do make the $50 per hour that this site claims – but those would be few and far between.
Realistically, if you wanted to make a decent amount of money with Fiverr, you would have a product or skill that people actually want and you would have to beat out the competition.
But that’s not what Smart Five.rr Profits is doing. It’s not teaching people strategies to become successful on Fiverr or types of products or services to promote.
Instead, the site is promoting a single service that you can sell through Fiverr.
One major problem with this approach is competition. Smart Five.rr Profits is promoting the same approach to anyone who buys this product, which means that you are competing against those people if you try to sell on Fiverr. That isn’t a good start to making money online.
I’m not going to talk about the exact steps that the company is promoting, but in general the concept is creating introduction videos and selling them. There may well be demand for this type of service – but there is also a large amount of supply.
Fiverr’s market is saturated with this type of video already and at the time of writing there are more than 1,000 different gigs that fall under the search ‘intro video’.
Some of those videos are also high quality and have a large number of positive reviews, such as the one below.
That is the type of video that you would have to compete against, which can be very challenging to do. In fact, even getting people to notice your video in the first place can be difficult.
A final concerning part is that Smart Five.rr Profits has people using templates from another website to make the videos. That means that everyone is using the same templates and this makes actually competing even more difficult.
Smart Five.rr Profits is right that selling your own products and services is a very good way to make money online. However, using Fiverr is a very challenging way. You have a lot of competition to beat and this is even more difficult if you don’t have any previous experience.
When you sell on Fiverr you have to deal with the cheaters and spammers that abound on the site, as well as all of Fiverr’s rules and fees.
Like eBay, Fiverr also works off a feedback model. This model means that you get feedback for your work. This feedback influences how likely you are to get orders and also how well you rank in the results listing on Fiverr overall.
This can be a major issue, because a lot of customers aren’t fair in their feedback or simply don’t bother to leave any. Both problems can dramatically decrease your ability to make money and there is little you can do about it.
The customers themselves are also a major issue with Fiverr.
In general, customers tend to have high expectations, even though they are only paying $5 for a product or service. This means that you have to pay close attention to how you describe what you are selling, and even then you will have to deal with customers who simply aren’t not realistic.
This issue can make or break you on Fiverr, because the customers with high expectations are also the ones most likely to leave bad feedback. Also, if you find yourself editing and reediting work you do for them, your profitability will also go way down.
All of these issues make Fiverr challenging to use to make money.
These issues also mean that you are very unlikely to ever make money using the methods that Smart Five.rr Profits promotes – particularly as Smart Five.rr Profits doesn’t offer much in the way of a marketing strategy.
The upsell to the product does seem to offer some marketing strategy, but personally, I doubt it is very effective.
Log In Issues
I also had some issues actually logging into the product. When I made the purchase I was able to log into the members’ area easily enough and watch the video initially, but after that could not log back in. After a day or two someone reset my password, but it was quite annoying to deal with since their login system didn't work properly.
Smart Five.rr Profits isn’t actually that smart and it is just teaching a single method for making money with Fiverr. It's shocking that someone is trying to sell an infoproduct like this.
Whether you have your own product or are trying the approach Smart Five.rr Profits is promoting, Fiverr is a challenging platform for making money online. There are simply too many hoops to jump through as well as risks and challenges that are completely outside of your control.
This is why so many people turn to their own websites to sell products, rather than relying on services like Fiverr. Having your own site gives you so much more control and you have much fewer fees along the way.
However, one of the best things about having your own site is that you don’t even need to have a product or service to promote. Instead, you can use a process called affiliate marketing to promote things that other companies sell. For example, you will commonly see people promoting things from Amazon through their website and they earn money by doing so.
A great place to get started in learning affiliate marketing and the processes of creating a website in general is Wealthy Affiliate. This site trained me in ways of making money online and it can do the same for you, regardless of your skill level or experience.
