What Is It?
Profit Up Empire is a pre-built website designed to sell affiliate products in specific niches. Various parts of the website building process have been done for you depending on the package you choose.
Hyped and misleading advertising means that most people will be disappointed with what they buy. Instant profits from done for you websites that generate income while you do no work is just not possible.
By starting your website with Profit Up Empire, you are starting your online business with one hand tied behind your back.
Before You Buy
There is A LOT wrong with the advertising campaign of this company. I’m not even sure where to start.
The most glaring issue is the focus on how “done for you” everything is. If you are going into online business with the idea that you are going to find someone to do the work for you then you are in the wrong business. Sure, you can outsource the work, but you are still going to need to know HOW to set up the business and how to direct people.
On top of that, it’s going to cost you a lot more than $197 to get your business generating traffic and income.
On a related note, please notice that in the advertising the “most popular” and more expensive versions of the product say that the websites have a potential to make X dollars.
That does not even make sense! Is there a cap on how much profit the sites can make? Will they scoop off any extra profits if your site really does become profitable? How can they predict how much your site will make, and what metrics are they using to predict this? This is clearly just an advertising tactic to get your eye’s zoned in on specific dollar amounts (a well known method of increasing conversion rates).
Why would they say that I get paid in 10 different ways? This just doesn’t make sense. If I am doing affiliate marketing, I can have as many affiliate links from as many affiliate programs as I want. Even so, I probably only pick 1 or 2 unless I have a really huge site.
Award Winning Support?
Profit Up Empire Claims to have “award winning support”. Pay close attention to this one. It’s going to be a vital part of my review, because a place that claims to have good support has my attention! Having ways to get quick, friendly assistance was really important to my own success online as an internet marketer.
So far, they haven’t mentioned what award they won, so I’m skeptical. So I clicked their support link, and found this:
ZenDesk is one of the most commonly used websites to OUTSOURCE support. I see it all the time in these guru internet marketing products I buy. These guys did win the German Best in Cloud Award. Does that sound like something special to you? Not to me. I guess we won't be getting support from internet marketing experts in case we run into any problems.
UPDATE: After 11 days of waiting, support did not answer my questions or deliver my websites. I created a refund request ticket today, and it was marked as completed within a few hours. No refund has been issued, so I've taken up the dispute with Paypal. Award winning? Yeah right!
1 More Gripe
I know this is a lot to take in before we even look at the product itself, but honesty in advertising is a big deal to me. Here is a slogan on their sales page:
So I did a search. NO ONE is talking about this. In fact, no one has even written a review of this. A quoted search in Google for the product name turned up only web pages for their website and one complaint on Facebook from a lady complaining to JV Zoo that she’s getting spammed by their affiliates.
What I Liked
Still working on this part. We'll see how the websites turn out.
5 10 Days Later, I'm still waiting for websites to be completed. I really did like the idea of someone creating 3 WordPress websites for me and was looking forward to seeing what they produced. Support has not never responded to the ticket.
What I Didn’t Like
I became suspect that I had been scammed when I landed in the members area of Profit Up Empire and quickly found out that there was very little inside.
Since I’m a DIY member instead of DFY (Done For You), I had to manually cut/paste 3 niches from a list and email it to the Zendesk Support team. Supposedly they are supposed to build my website for me.
The almost comical part was the niches they had pre-selected. If you know anything about niche marketing then you know that choosing a topic of your website is a very important step. Being specific about your audience is crucial!
But I had to laugh when I saw the topics they gave me. “Dogs” and “Photograph” are terrible niche choices. There are many ways to narrow these down to make them better niches.
- organic dog food + treats
- puppy training
- elderly dogs care + nutrition
- showing [dog breed]
- how to adopt rescue dogs
- travel photography
- vintage camera repair
- home dark rooms
- analog photography techniques
- night photography
So I picked out two pretty dumb ideas: “Dogs” and “General Insurance”.LOL. I also picked one I thought would be a good site, “Organic Gardening”, although you could probably break that down further if you wanted to (herb gardening, apartment gardening, gardening for kids, community gardening, etc)
I’m always on the lookout for new traffic techniques, so was sorely disappointed to look into this section of the members area. There were 5 videos, less than 5 minutes each (ok, one was 6 minutes long).
Just by looking at the titles of these videos, any person with only cursory knowledge of internet marketing can guess what they’re about and the traffic methods they talk about. There is absolutely NO in depth discussion about it, and nothing insightful is said.
I take that back. They did give some advice to create a Top 10 Post about related topics to your niche. That was a good idea.
Done For You Content
It's been 24 hours since I sent my support ticket with no response. I'll update this area when my websites are delivered. If they aren't done in 2 weeks, I'll get a refund.
Update: I've been unable to view the content or the websites, and support has not responded to my ticket. I'll wait to full 2 weeks I promised them, but wanted to get this review out.
Update 2: Support never responded to multiple tickets, and they even ignored my request for refunds. I then responded with a dispute in Paypal, which they ignored as well. Once I escalated the dispute however, they refunded my money quite quickly without even saying sorry for being unresponsive. My guess is that this business is no longer in business.
Bonuses + Webinars
The bonuses you receive is some kind of PLR product called List Building Master Class. There’s 4 videos, about an hour each. I didn’t watch through them, but they look OK.
There are no webinar recordings in this section, and no indication of when the next one is.
No one will build a profit generating website for you for this cheap. Period. To get your online business off the ground you are going to have to work, learn, and fail a few times.
You can outsource the work, but expect to manage and direct people. You can pay for a website that’s already earning, but it’ll cost you 10x-20x monthly earnings (a website generating just $100/month will cost you $2,000)
Why am I so opinionated? I do this for a living and I think it’s ridiculous that Profit Up Empire is trying to sell you this type of product.
If you would like some REAL advice on how to build a niche website and how to actually make money from it, I suggest you join my in the Wealthy Affiliate community and start your training today.
YES, the training is awesome. YES, the support is fast and friendly. NO, the work isn’t done for you.
How do you feel about the sales page these guys created? Am I being too harsh?
