What Is It?
Create and sell Facebook Fanpage covers for other businesses.
This is not a bad idea for a business, but the product delivered doesn’t live up to the grandiose promises on the sales page.
Before You Buy
We are told some pretty amazing things, like we can “forget everything we have learned”, and that we are about to be shown a stupid-simple way to make money online.
Apparently it’s new, and can make us $130 per day working for less than 60 minutes.
But just by doing a bit of research before buying, you can see that all this product is about is designing Facebook Fan Pages (business pages) for clients that don’t have one (or need updates).
This is a classic example of taking the best case scenario and turning it into an info product like so many of these gurus do.
What I Liked
It’s not a crazy idea – small businesses need a website presence, and Facebook fan pages are a way to get it. Even though Facebook is losing popularity as a social media platform for entertainment, it still has quite a bit of pull in the business world.
And though not all businesses are active on their FB pages, most of them could benefit from it. Tons of people are on FB, and if you can get them interacting through FB on your fan page, those customers could turn into potential clients.
What I Didn’t Like
For me, this is quite mundane, but it’s worth covering. You will absolutely not be making $130 per day with just 60 minutes of work, especially not in the beginning.
If you have no previous design skills or experience creating fan pages, you are going to have to learn. Even once you get over the learning curve, you are still going to have to keep a steady stream of new clients to get paid!
This is NOT residual income. Also, if go about your business looking to make as much as possible with as little work as possible, it’s going to show in your final product.
That means no repeat clients, no good reviews, and failed business.
I am an internet business owner and I receive emails just about every day from guys trying to “boost my SEO”, or write articles for me. 99% go into the junk folder, even if they are personalized. I can smell an email swipe (copy/paste email message) from a mile away.
Business owners are getting bombarded by folks doing the same thing, and you are just going to be one more. You may have the best intentions, but they don’t know that.
You potentially could make income doing this, but you are going to have to work your butt off and need a lot more assistance than 9 videos plus a couple of PDFs.
Get used to rejection, because apparently the “expert” is only getting 4/100 clients to sign up.
How well do you think you’ll convert as a beginner? Cold calling has notoriously low conversion rates. There are much better ways to sell stuff online.
This product was not created because it was anything new or interesting, or that it was going to help a lot of people make money.
It’s just another guru-product-launch aimed at creating buzz and getting affiliates to sell.
It’s very likely that Paged Profits Formula won’t be around in a few months, and that Sam Mann will have moved on to another launch claiming X amount of dollars for just a few minutes work.
I prefer to invest my money and time into companies that have a proven track record.
Why pitch to clients by cold calling when you could create a website that customers would search for in Google?
Why learn about creating Facebook fan pages when you don’t really care about that type of stuff?
I reason I recommend affiliate marketing to people as a great beginner business is because you can create a website on any topic you want to. Food, business, travel, fitness…anything at all.
When you write about things you are passionate about, other people on the internet search in Google and can find what you write. When you recommend products, they buy. This is the formula I used for my own business, and you can learn how to do the same thing.
I provide 1-on-1 support for anyone that signs up for a free Starter Account at Wealthy Affiliate. It’s the same business community and training center where I took my first newbie-steps, and it’s why I recommend this place above any other “make money online” PDF guide or video series.
By the way, Mann tells us that he'll give us 3 personal 1-on-1 sessions for $147. I give everyone FREE 1-on-1 support and you get FOUR monthly webinars within the WA community for less than 1/3 the cost of Paged Profits Formula upsells.
