What is it?
Breakthrough Adsense Profits is an ebook that teaches readers how to build a website that creates an income from adsense. The main purpose of this product is to show you that it's possible to earn money from Adsense without all the typical methods like social media and search engines.
There's nothing new here. It's just another ebook that talks about using alternative, free traffic sources to drive traffic back to a website that's monetized with adsense. Adsense can be a risky income source because it is notorious for banning its users and leaving them with nothing. Breakthrough Adsense Profits was a complete waste of time, and almost any website can be more effectively monetized using affiliate marketing.
Before You Buy
Of course, no adsense training product would be complete without at least one upsell. Surprisingly, there was, only one upsell with this product.
It's called Create. Launch. Profit.
It's basically a motivational rah-rah course. It comes with videos that are supposed to motivate and inspire you to do the work taught in this course. It also comes with access to their weekly webinars and email training.
What I Liked
After reading through this entire ebook twice, I finally found one thing worth mentioning here.
Covers the Basics
I think this ebook actually covers the basics of setting up an adsense-based website fairly well. The ebook is separated into 12 modules that each cover one part of the process.
The modules covers things like…
- how to create a sales-funnel
- how to target keywords
- how to set up a website
- how to build an email list
- how to generate traffic
There's a little more too, but those are the main ones. Like I already mentioned, the ebook covers the basics well. There's definitely going to be more you'll need to learn but you can definitely get started with the information in this ebook.
What I Didn't Like
Unfortunately there were lots of things I did not like about this product.
Of course, the use of adsense to monetize your website is the main problem I have with it. But I didn't want to harp on that too much since I already mentioned that above.
Using Article Directories as a Source of Traffic
A few years ago, articles directories like Ezine, and others, were great sources for traffic. You could write a short, simple article with a link back to your website and get loads of traffic. Well, those days are gone, and they've been gone for quite some time.
Using article directories as a source of traffic is pointless. You might get a trickle of traffic, as in one or two visitors per month. But that's not at all worth the time it takes to write the thing. Your effort and/or money is much better spent adding unique articles to your own website.
Another problem with this method is that Google and the other popular search engines, might penalize your website for using them too often!
Search engines can, of course, trace the links back to your site. If they're coming from article directories, especially low quality ones you run the risk of algorithmic penalties for unnatural link building.
PLR (Private Label Rights) content is something that a lot of so-called marketers like to use and recommend. But using it is a bad idea. PLR basically means you're buying (or given) the rights to use content that someone else created.
The problem with this is, you're not the only one who uses it.
Hundreds of people could be using that very same content, meaning the books you put out will not be original, let alone “in demand”. People are smarter than Bryan Harkins and Shane Farrell give them credit for, and the type of generalized, unhelpful content that I've seen with PLR stuff certainly won't keep people on the page long, thus hurting your rank.
Many article directories don't even allow this type of content. Sure, you can rewrite it, then punch it through Copyscape, but now you've made the “done for you” feature of PLR totally moot.
The information in this book is good, but it's just too basic. Almost everything they mention can be found on million (literally millions) of websites throughout the web. Calling it a “Breakthrough” is ridiculous.
Seriously, all this stuff has been covered so many times it's almost a joke.
Google Adsense is a favorite topic among bloggers looking to monetize their website. If you want to know more about it, you can do a quick search on Google and find everything you need to know. In fact, now that I think about it, there's really not much to know. You put in some code into your website then try to drive traffic to it.
The hard part of running an Adsense business isn't understanding Adsense – it's driving enough traffic to the website to actually make decent money.
Poor Monetization Strategy
Most websites can be more effectively monetized (make more money) by using affiliate marketing strategies. Instead of making $200 from 1000 visits, you can make $2,000 from the same number of visits. Sending TARGETED traffic to relevant affiliate programs is a great way to make lots of money from just a little traffic.
General ads that Google serves up are NOT targeted, and many people are blind to them after so many years. Anyone who has an adblocker installed on their browser won't even see your ads!
My personal opinion is that people love this strategy because it means they don't have to think about a sales funnel, or an actual business strategy. JUST DRIVE TRAFFIC IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE seem to be the popular thinking.
I do agree that ads like these can be useful for sites not easily monetized with affiliate products like celebrity gossip blogs, but there's are other options worth looking into as well.
This is probably the biggest problem with this product. If you want to build a business online you're going to need a little help. Most ebooks offer limited support anyway, but offering nothing is much worse. I couldn't find a support link, email address or even a social media profile anywhere inside the book.
An online business requires support no matter what. I've been doing this for years and I still require a little help from time to time. If I had decided to use adsense as an income stream I would need a lot more help. Even just understanding the Adsense TOS is something that newbies will struggle with.
Where will you send your questions? Nowhere apparently.
Making a full time income from reading one PDF just isn’t going to happen, especially if there isn’t a good enough support network. Learning how to make money online will be a long and winding journey, so what happens if you get lost somewhere down the road? You can get my personal assistance and mentorship at no cost as a member of this online business training center, as well as the support of thousands of other members who want to see you succeed.
