I’ll admit, the landing page for iPoll looks kind of cool and it’s a bit different than most other surveys and rewards sites. While the style doesn’t necessarily mean that the site is worth the while, it is a good indication that iPoll isn’t just a clone of every other survey site out there.
Another unusual thing about this particular site is that it doesn’t make any bold claims about how much money you can earn. Instead, the site just very briefly talks about the different ways that users can cash out.
Many survey sites claim that you can earn hundreds of dollars a week by simply doing surveys and some even seem to think that you can earn a full-time income that way. I like the fact that iPoll doesn’t say much one way or the other.
As for the site itself though, it does offer fairly typical surveys, which often take 20 or 30 minutes to complete for payments of $1 or $2 (or less in some cases). You also have to go through the qualification process for each survey and it is often difficult to actually qualify for a survey.
Cashing out through the site is a bit of a pain, because of the reward tiers offered. You can cash out with a balance as low as $15, but that only gets you a magazine subscription. You have to get to $25 to be able to get gift certificates, and $50 to get anything that resembles cash.
It’s a lot of work to get to that point and there’s always the risk that you will get that far and not actually get paid.

iPoll looks much better at face value than most other survey companies out there, but it isn’t actually new. Instead, the site is a rebranding of a survey site that has been around for a while, called Surveyhead.
I’ve reviewed Surveyhead in the past and for the most part, the site is very similar to most other surveys out there. With the rebrand, iPoll has dramatically improved the way that the site looks and how easy it is to use, which is nice.
However, the site still suffers from many of the same issues that it used to. For example, some of the surveys end up asking you to sign up for other websites. This process makes everything take longer and you end up signing up for sites that you don’t actually want to use.
iPoll does have one thing that is pretty unusual for a survey site. It offers an app that you can use on the go. The app has a range of ways of different ‘missions’ that can potentially let users earn money.
Like the site itself, the app isn’t any good if you were trying to earn a decent amount of income through surveys, but it does have the advantage of letting users do surveys from anywhere rather than just at their computers.
This ability can be useful for people wanting to chip away at taking surveys over time, especially if it is something they end up doing while they are waiting in line or waiting for someone.
The big question with any survey site is whether you can make money from it.
There are really two answers to this question for iPoll and for most other survey sites.
First of all, yes, you can make money. iPoll allows people to cash out through a range of ways, including magazine subscriptions, gift cards, and even though a virtual Visa card or PayPal – and people do successfully cash out from the company.
However, the second answer to the question is that you can’t really earn enough with iPoll to make the experience with the effort.
Survey sites tend to involve a large amount of time and effort, with relatively little in the way of a reward. While you can earn money through them, it may take weeks or even months to get enough to cash out a single time.
You can see this from the estimated survey lengths and the amount that they payout.
If you were to do four 15 minute surveys, it would theoretically take you an hour and it would earn you a grand total of $4. That’s not much for an hour’s worth of work.
In practice, it would take longer than that to earn the money, because you have the qualifying surveys to do, and the estimates on time for surveys are often underestimates.
There is also the added challenge of actually making sure that all of the surveys you do count towards your total. Survey sites often get this one wrong and may miss some of your surveys, which can be frustrating and hard to fix.
All of these problems mean that earning money through surveys is challenging and not effective.
An alternative approach is to make money online through your own website. This is something that you can build yourself, even if you have never done anything like it before.
