Company Name: My Advertising Pays
Costs: $49.99 + VX Gateway 2.5%, $24.99/year + VX Gateway 2.5%
What Is It
For advertisers, you can post paid ads on the website. For people wanting to make money with my Advertising Pays, you can click on ads for a small payment, or recruit people to the website for larger payments.
As an advertiser, My Advertising Pays is a worthless source of traffic. Anyone that takes their business seriously would should not consider paying for traffic from this website.
As someone looking to make money, there are some serious red flags to consider and there are better opportunities out there.
I cannot stress enough how useless traffic exchanges are. The fact that people still pay into them boggles my mind. Anyone I’ve spoken personally (i.e. KNOW) that used them says they maybe get 1 or 2 leads that don’t convert and it becomes clear very quality that they wasted money.
Of course there are always folks that chime in to say that this isn’t true, but there’s never any proof, and most of the time they have some affiliate connection.
Why don’t they work?
People are paid to click on your ads. They are not interested in what you are selling. Imagine if McDonalds paid a person 10 cents to look in their windows. Does McDonalds make any money? No. What if they paid 10,000 people do that? Same results, except maybe one person gets confused an ends up in the store.
Now imagine they spend some money on an ad that runs on a fast food review website. There’s a good chance that people looking at fast food reviews will be interested in McDonalds food.
That’s the difference between targeted advertising and what traffic exchanges do. Why would you pay someone to look at something they’re not interested in buying?
Big Problem #1: The Product Isn't Good
The basic idea is that as an affiliate, to get paid, you need to get people to spend money on ads on the website. However, you can recruit affiliates and get paid more, since to become an affiliate, you are required to buy an ad package for $49.99. You are also required to click 10 ads per day on the website as part of getting paid.
YOU are the guy getting paid to look in the window. Are you planning on buying stuff from the ads? Probably not.
The #1 red flag to me is that this My Advertising Pays is promoted by and affiliate with Simon Stepsys. You can see his promo video for the company here, and even if you believe that My Advertising Pays is legit, it’s hard not to admit that this guy is a bit of an asshat.
Red Flags Highlights From the Video
- 600k in first 9 months
- you’re gonna make a bunch of money
- biggest thing you’ll ever do in your life
- buy as many credits as you can
- buy more refer more make more
Why is this guy important to mention? He was also a big promote and heavily involved with Banners Broker. They ran a similar system to MAP where you had to bring in advertisers in to the ad exchange.
Knowing all this information in hindsight makes this next video all the more funny (or sad?)
Big Problem #2: Association With Scammers
No matter what your business, if you can’t trust the people you work with, and the product you promote is not useful, you are not doing anyone a favor, especially yourself.
There seems to be some debate on whether or not this is an MLM company. If you look at all the butthurt comments from people defending the system, it’s clear that it’s an MLM company.
Do You Love Clicking Ads? Probably Not.
If you love clicking Ads, then maybe My Advertising Pays is for you. If you are interested in normal stuff like fitness, computers, games, travel, and pets, then there are better ways to make money online.
My suggestion is to start a blog, and make money through affiliate marketing. This is how I earn my income, and it’s what I teach people how to do. You can start yours here.
Now matter how you decide to earn money online (there are many ways), you are going to need some training, and a good mentor. Get started at the link above and we can figure out a good website topic for you, and teach you how to make money it!
