With the modern economy, earning money online definitely has its appeal. After all, you have the chance to earn money from a safe environment, without having to worry about a commute or a dress code. Virtual Bee takes advantage of this idea, highlighting on the potential for anyone to work online.
Certainly, the idea of being able to earn money for skills you already have is appealing – but it isn’t entirely true. To actually join the company, you have to complete an evaluation, which means that not everyone is going to get in.
The company is also very vague about how much money you can actually make. Prior to the evaluation, all of the discussions on pay talk about how it is going to vary considerably. This means that you really have no idea what to expect before starting the (time-consuming) evaluation.
The company also offers no information about actually withdrawing money. Normally, companies that you earn money with make you accumulate a certain amount of credit before you can then withdraw it. That’s probably the case with Virtual Bee too, but the company certainly isn’t giving anything away.
Making Money With Data Entry
The site is a data entry site, pure and simple. The evaluation itself gives that much away, as does some of the wording on the site. However, this is something they don’t mention on the front page, probably because they don’t want to scare people away.
The site does seem to provide legitimate data entry work, without charging members to join, which is a nice change. However, that still doesn’t mean that the site is actually a good idea.
To start off with, there is a lot of competition. Data entry seems like an easy way to make money, so there will be a lot of people working on the same evaluation tests. Regardless of how you perform on those tests, there is a good chance that you will placed on a waiting list to actually earn money.
Even if you do get in, data entry is not a particularly profitable job.
While the site itself doesn’t offer any specific information on its pay rate, past members of the site do offer some insight.
That really isn’t a lot of money, especially when those figures also refer to accurate keystrokes. This means that most people working for the site probably won’t be earning anywhere close to minimum wage.
This is pretty normal for data entry jobs in general. Most of the time you will find that this type of job pays very little – partly because there isn’t all that much demand for the work, while lots of people want to do data entry.
At the same time, data entry is an incredibly boring way of earning money. Because you are being paid based on speed and accuracy, you can’t even tune out while you are doing it, but have to remain focused. To me, that sounds like a sure-fire recipe for frustration.
A final challenge with the site is that they don’t always have work available. The FAQ for the site notes that sometimes there simply won’t be enough work to go around.
So, even if you are happy enough with the pay rate of the site, it is never going to be something that you can completely rely on for income.
All of this begs the question… why bother?
Making Money Online
Data entry work sounds appealing because it is work that you can simply pick up and run with. That means no effort in setting up, no site to maintain and nothing new to learn. Those all sound like great benefits, but they’re also very short-term benefits.
Taking a short-term approach to making money is a bit of a foolish way of doing things. Yes, it is less effort than starting an online business, but you’re not really going be able to grow your income from data entry, or reduce the amount of work involved.
In contrast, having your own online business places you in the driver’s seat. This gives you the ability to increase how much money you earn over time, without increasing your workload. That’s a very powerful advantage.
That advantage is why I recommend affiliate marketing so heavily. Affiliate marketing lets you promote products from companies through your own website. This can sound like a lot of work, but it isn’t as challenging as it seems. Additionally, it is much more interesting and less stressful than doing the same thing over and over, which is what you end up doing with data entry work.

Most products like this last just a few short months then disappear. That's the nature of hype in the business of making money online.
The only system I've seen last more than a decade is the same place where I learned how to start an online business. They've been around teaching newbies to make money online since 2006. You can join for free and start your first website in the next couple minutes
Personally, I'd rather dedicate time to learning how to earn real income by building a business, rather than just looking for an online job.
