Product Name: Turnkey Commissions
Product Owner: Andrew X and Winter Valko
Upsells: Have to buy expensive hosting to access product
What is it?
Premade websites that are supposed to make users $734 per 15 minutes.
Turnkey products always get my back up. Realistically, Turnkey Commissions is a heavily hyped product that offers nothing not available on hundreds of other sites. To even see the ‘free’ website you have to sign up for expensive hosting, and it simply isn’t worth the bother.
Before You Buy
This product might sound like it’s free, but it really isn’t. Hosting isn’t necessarily expensive, particularly if you shop around. I really suggest that you never let anyone try to force you into choosing a particular provider. If nothing else, decent providers really don’t rely on those tactics.
What I Liked
I’ll have to say pass here. There was nothing I liked about this product, particularly as the sites weren’t even viewable unless you paid for the hosting.
What I Didn’t Like
The name of this product alone should be your first indication that something is fishy. Turnkey products sound wonderful in theory. They are products that are already made, you just need to ‘turn the key’ to start making profits.
That’s the theory anyway.
In practice, turnkey products are little more than hype. Any product you buy is going to require a decent amount of work before you can make money from it.
I’m used to product marketing being vague, but Turnkey Commissions was worse than normal. I mean, all the main page really does is tell me how much the system can earn (yeah right) and give me a disclaimer.
Honestly, I don’t like the idea of having to give my email address when it isn’t even clear what the product is in the first place.
Now, once you enter your email address, you are taken to a page that has more information. Even then, the information you get is a heavily hyped and unrealistic promotional video. Plus, the company now has your email address to spam – and trust me, they will.
Don’t be fooled. The information the video is presenting is seriously misleading. The video makes it sound like you can do amazing things with the website that you are ‘given’. Realistically, the things that they are promoting are things that you can do from pretty much any website.
The only real difference between a turnkey site and one that you make from scratch, is that a turnkey one has some things already done for you. Now – this isn’t necessarily a good thing. The problem with turnkeys is that they are normally made with duplicate content and you need to spend time making them you own. Even if the content isn't duplicate, it isn't good enough to actually rank your site (assuming they give you content at all).
In fact, if you were to turn the key (so to speak) on the business when you first get it, you would end up with a site that didn’t rank or make you any money at all.
While I’m on the topic of information, I want to mention the support for this product, or more specifically the lack of support. The image below is for the knowledgebase that the company provides – and basically there are no articles at all.
This means that if you want help, your only option is to submit a ticket. The form for actually submitting a ticket is pretty simplistic, but there is no way of knowing whether anyone ever response to the tickets.
This is a pretty poor support system for a product that you are meant to be able to get up and running quickly.
Free – But Not Really
With Turnkey Commissions you are basically meant to get a free site designed for you – but that isn’t really true. Actually getting this site requires you to get hosting. That makes sense at face value, but you are forced to use the hosting option that the site is promoting.
As you can probably imagine, this gets to be expensive quickly.
Personally, I don’t like the idea of being forced into specific hosting. When you are trying to earn money from a site, you need to be sure that the site will be up all of the time, and that it will give you all the control you need.
This means you have to make sure you have a reliable provider, which involves checking reviews and shopping around. You can’t do that if you are forced into a specific provider, and this is a major risk.
In fact, there really isn’t that much information about the provider (Purely Hosting) online, and very few reviews. This is a serious cause for concern, because people tend to rave about services they like and there are a number of complaints about the company.
The absolute worst thing about this approach is that the only way you even get to see the site you are apparently getting for free is to go through this process and actually purchase hosting. This is a considerable investment when you don’t even know whether the turnkey site they offer you is actually any good at all.
Many people will probably get to the end of this process and find out that what they get is not at all what they expected.
One of the two people behind this product is Winter Valko. This isn’t something the authors make particularly obvious, which is suspicious on its own. Winter Valko has been known for making other products that are poor quality and are little more than scams.
Another one of his products that was reviewed on this site is Chronic Profits. Just like for Turnkey Commissions, the sales pitch for Chronic Profits is fully of hype and has little basis in reality. Winter Valko has also been involved in other products, like Earn with Mike and Copy Paste Traffic.
The thing is, when internet marketers churn out new products as often as Winter Valko seems to, it’s pretty much guaranteed that the products are going to be low quality and misleading. It takes time and effort to make a decent product, particularly if that product involves an entirely new approach or new information.
In fact, you’ll find that many products that authors make are simply repackaged and reworded versions of products that they had already made earlier. It ends up being a fast way for them to make money, while innocent people end up being the victims.
This is an incredibly vague and hyped product that requires you to pay for expensive hosting just to find out whether the site is even worth the money. This is something to avoid entirely.
Being successful in online business does rely on having a website, but Turnkey Commissions is not a good way to meet this goal. Instead, a much better option is to start off with an actual free site, such as the one that Wealthy Affiliate provides, and learn how to build your site from the beginning – the right way.
