What is it?
Tube Profit Secrets is a video course that teaches its user’s how to create, optimize and make money from YouTube videos.
If you want to learn more about using YouTube as an income stream, Tube Profit Secrets will definitely give a great start. James Knight, the product’s creator has done a fantastic job of covering everything you will need to know. He helps you setup a channel, learn to create professional looking videos and even find products to promote. At $17 Tube Profit Secrets is worth the investment.
Before You Buy
Usually this is the part of my review where I tell you about the upsells associated with this product.
Unfortunately Fortunately there weren’t any of them.
Well there was but James must have got his wires crossed somewhere because the landing page for whatever he was trying to sell is messed up.
This is the page I was taken to after I made my purchase.
But James Knight has created other products. Recently he created Easy Tube Profits which I reviewed and gave a 20 out of 100, I also reviewed an incredibly frustrating product called CPA Mobile Hack that he had a hand in. Considering the mishaps with the upsell and the terrible products he created before, I’m surprised he was able to do so well with Tube Profit Secrets.
What I Liked
There is a lot of good things to say about this product. It’s complete, nicely designed and easy to follow. Here’s some other examples of why I like it.
If you’ve ever read any of my other reviews you know that I’m big on two things; Members areas and video courses. I’ve reviewed — and personally taken — enough courses to know that a simple, well designed members area is an important feature to have. I also know that video courses are easier to learn from in most cases.
Fortunately, Tube Profit Secret meets both those requirements head on.
You can see from the image above that the navigation is clean and simple. So there’s no guessing about where you need to go next, where you’re at or what you need to do. This is important because the last thing you want, is to be confused about how to get around a website when you’re trying to learn something for the first time.
Also, the videos are great. Every one of them is clearly marked in the members area and put together in a way that makes sense (one follows the other in other words).
Plus, the videos are very professional. There’s a brief intro to each one, then James walks you through whatever he’s teaching in a way thats easy to understand. His voice is clear and he explains every step. James clearly understands video creation.
One thing I don’t mind saying is that this course is really in-depth. James seems to cover every topic and every possible problem. Of course no one course can cover everything, but James does a really good job with Tube Profit Secrets.
Once you’re in the members area you will find six modules, all containing five to ten videos each. That’s a lot of content.
The videos cover everything from video creation and optimization, to setting up a YouTube channel and monetization. And this is not generalized information or a bunch of theories. Nope. Instead James provides you with solid real-world advice that is sure to help anyone create a profitable YouTube channel.
Potential for Profits
Maybe the best thing about this course is that you get to see a variety of monetization methods. Most products tend to stick to one specific way you can make money. But James shows you about ten of them.
He covers affiliate marketing with YouTube, CPA, building your own email list and even becoming a YouTube partner and finding advertisers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product go into as much detail on this side of YouTube.
And the best thing is, you don’t have to choose just one of the methods James describes. The way YouTube works you could try them all or just a few. I really think you can make money following James’ advice.
What I Didn't Like
Like I said earlier, no product is perfect. Tube Profit Secrets is a great product but it has it problems. These are the most important ones…
Video Tagging Method
Unfortunately the tagging method that James lays out in module one is something I’m firmly against. In a previous video James talks about researching competitor’s videos to find great keywords. (keywords are the terms people search for on YouTube. Using those keywords in various parts of your video can help you gain more views).
The method James uses is something I — and many others — like to refer to as keyword stuffing. Basically you take those keywords you found from other videos and simply place in them in the bottom of your video’s description.
In the image below you can see that James has placed dozens of them in his description. To make things worse, he says, “this doesn’t look like keyword stuffing. Most people will think it’s helpful.” Wrong.
No one is going to think bunch of random words and phrases at the bottom of a video description is “helpful”.
There’s a lot of different ways to do keyword stuffing and all of them are bad. To be honest, I have seen this work for some people, but it's usually low competition phrases that they probably didn't need to stuff for anyway. This is a dated method. Writing keyword optimized contend and having some appropriate tags in the settings of your video (not description), plus title, is enough. Here's a great post about YouTube SEO done right.
No One to Help You
Tube Profit Secrets, like so many other products, lacks the type of support that new marketers need. For starters, there’s no visible support or “contact us” information anywhere inside the members area.
I looked, but couldn’t find anything.
Products like this one need to have some support for new members. One thing that would be helpful (and easy) would be to allow comments on the individual videos. That way members could leave comments and questions about problems they have, or ones they overcame. Unfortunately they couldn’t even do something as simple as that.
Some people need a bit of extra help getting their first online business started, and most product creators just aren’t willing to give that extra support. Once a sale is done, it’s done, and you’re on your own. But I offer my continued support and assistance to all members of this online business community. Starter memberships are free, and you can even send me a message to see inside to see if I’m the real deal, or just another internet guru!
