Product Name: Seamless SEO
Product Owner: Radu Hahaianu & Joshua Zamora
What is it?
Seamless SEO is a WordPress plugin designed to help you optimize your website’s content for search engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing.
The settings and features offered by Seamless SEO are typical for any SEO plugin. There’s nothing that’s really special about it. With that said, simplicity is often one of the best things you can do to optimize your website. But, while the simplicity of Seamless SEO is appealing, there are some unnecessary risks you take by trusting the SEO of your money website to this plugin's creators.
Before You Buy
There is no shortage of SEO plugins that WordPress users can download for free. The two that have been most popular are “All in one SEO” and “WordPress SEO By Yoast”.
Any SEO plugin will offer basic features that help you optimize your website on the post-level. Seamless SEO is offering those same features with nothing else to really add to that.
What I liked
The simplicity of the whole thing is nice. The plugin itself is quite simple and I like the fact that there’s another SEO plugin that isn’t total crap. Will it be any competition for the other popular plugins? Probably not but it’s nice to know someone is keeping the other guys on their toes.
The sales page was totally honest about what they have to offer. They offered a few pictures and a video that showed the plugin’s features. Far too often product creators don’t do this and it makes you feel like it’s a gamble to buy the product.
The one thing I liked most was entering the member’s area and not getting hit with other offers and upsells. This is admirable considering this is when most products really try to take advantage of you. Instead, Seamless SEO takes you straight to three short video tutorials to help you setup the plugin.
What I didn't like
The sales page and videos take quite a few liberties.
Statements like “Seamless SEO can boost your traffic by 300%” aren't really true.
The plugin on its’ own can't do anything. SEO plugins are meant to help optimize the work *you* do.
They also say a lot of things about SEO in general that can lead users in a bad direction.
Saying things like “Google doesn't count links anymore” is terrible advice, especially from someone who claims to be an ‘SEO professional'.
Probably the most misleading comment was this one “Seamless SEO is Hummingbird proof”.
“Hummingbird” is the part of Google's search engine that strives to ensure good content is pushed to the top of the search results.
The last thing you want to be is ‘Hummingbird proof’.
Statements like that – and the fact that they didn't block access to the paid members area tells us that these guys don’t know much about search engines.
If that’s the case then it’s likely they won't be around long.
You don’t want to trust your website’s optimization to a plugin that is likely to disappear soon.
SEO can be as easy or as complicated as you make it.
So while I believe the plugin is decent, it’s not worth the risks associated with it. Even if the plugin was free(and it is because they didn't block access) I still wouldn't recommend it.
The plugin itself is a legit product. It’s just not worth it with so many other options available.
