Product Name: QuickRewards Network
Upsells: Cost for completing some offers
What is it?
A site that offers money for surveys, offers, shopping, games and other things. Most of the approaches are relatively time consuming and do not pay well.
QuickRewards Network isn’t a new site and it does have a relatively good reputation in the field. However, the fact remains that completing surveys and offers simply isn’t an effective approach for earning money and it would take a long time to earn anything significant from QuickRewards Network.
Before You Buy
Be careful with anything that asks for your credit card through this site. Offers often involve you signing up for a trial of something that might be free or might cost a dollar or two. Trials like that will often automatically renew, so make sure you don’t get caught out.
What I Liked
This site has been around for quite a while and does have a relatively good record of actually paying what it claims and responding to customers.
Additionally, the site does provide the ability to withdraw money as soon as it has been confirmed in your balance, rather than waiting till you hit a certain minimum. That is a nice change from most other sites like this and lets you see early on whether there are going to be any issues with withdrawal.
What I Didn’t Like
Right from the start this site looks very cheap and poorly put together. It feels like no one took the time to figure out how to make a good and professional-looking site, or that the site design hasn't been updated for a long time. To me, this is a concerning sign, because good companies take the time to make sure their website looks good.
The site itself is one that offers money through a range of different approaches and the site design does nothing to make that process easier.
This type of site is very common. There are a huge number of sites that offer money in exchange for tasks like surveys, shopping, offers, watching videos and playing games. It sounds like a good deal, because you earn money by doing something relatively easy, but it’s not as good as it seems.
Let’s start with surveys. Surveys are one of the main elements of this site, with surveys often awarding around $1.00.
My biggest issue with surveys is that it is so easy to underestimate how much time they are going to take. To start off with, each survey involves a screening survey. If you don’t match the qualifications then you don’t earn any money from your time.
Additionally, the surveys themselves can take quite some time to complete. For example, the first survey on the list asked me questions like this and took approximately 20 minutes to complete.
20 minutes is a lot of time to earn $1, and that ignores the three or four failed pre-screening surveys I did first. Additionally, when I had completed the survey, I got this notice:
So, you can easily spend half an hour (or longer) working on a survey and not even know whether you earn money from it until days later. It simply isn’t an effective technique.
The other approaches aren’t a whole lot better. For example, many of the offers involve first spending money, such as this one:
These offers often make you spend money on things that you don’t want and don’t need just to get the money from the company. However, there is always the risk that you won’t actually get the money for one reason or another, which could easily leave you out of pocket.
Some of the other parts of the site include things like watching video clips, clicking on links and that type of thing. These approaches are even worse in terms of earning potential. For example, one approach is watching video clips – which you can do once every ten minutes.
While surveys and offers pay money, this approach pays QuickPoints, a form of secondary currency for the site. This approach is actually extremely common, and most of the time sites do it when they want to make it seem like you are earning more than you actually are.
For this site, 100 QuickPoints is $0.01. So, 25 QuickPoints for watching a clip is $0.0025 and you would have to watch four clips to earn 1 cent. Still sound like a good deal?
With this type of site in general, any approach of earning money is either time consuming or expensive. This makes it very ineffective.
Additionally, if you were to use this as a way of actually earning money, you would have to completely rely on the site and on the surveys, offers and other features that the site has. This is a problem in a number of ways.
First, most of the different surveys and offers can only be done once and often you will get the best ones early on. This means that it gets progressively harder over time to earn money.
Second, there is always the risk that some of your activity will get reversed or even that the company will cancel your account because it thinks you are being fraudulent. This can actually happen even if you aren’t doing anything wrong and it can be very difficult to undo.
One of the reasons for this is that companies like QuickRewards Network have to pay close attention to people who are potentially scamming. Another reason is that users are supposed to be honest when it comes to responding to surveys.
However, doing so isn’t as easy as it sounds, particularly when the questions don’t quite match your situation. For example, in the 20 minute survey I talked about earlier, the survey questions kept asking about communications devices for employees where I work, even though I am self-employed with no employees (and had said as much).
This also makes it difficult to be aware of what you said earlier on in a survey, and there is a risk that being inconsistent could get you in trouble with the company.
Overall, it just isn’t worth it. Relying on a single company for income online is always risky. Even if you do successfully earn money through QuickRewards Network, you are probably looking at earning a couple of hundred dollars a year at the most – and even that involves a lot of time and effort.
Like most sites of its type QuickRewards Network isn’t a good approach for long-term (or even short-term) income, and earning anything at all can be time consuming.
It is possible to earn money online, but sites like QuickRewards Network really aren’t the answer. Instead, you need to take the time to look at developing your own online business.
That might sound challenging, but it isn’t as bad as it seems and can actually be quite enjoyable. I personally recommend training at Wealthy Affiliate for anyone even considering this field. The site is where I got my own training, and the community support alone is amazing.
