Updates: MOBE has since been taken down by the FTC.

Of course, no apologies from anyone that promoted the MOBE including the famous John Chow.
What Is It MTTB + MOBE?
My Online Business Empire is a course that is supposed to teach people how to make a full-time income from the internet though MLM. Basically, you are signing up to resell the MOBE and MTTB course, as is typical with network marketing.
The Products:
There are 4 main products.
- My Top Tier Business ($49/month)
- MOBE Licensing Rights ($1,997 upfront and $99/month)
- Titanium Mastermind ($8,997 upfront and $199/month)
- Platinum Mastermind ($14,997 upfront and $299/month)
TOTAL COST: $25,000
You read that right! The most expensive membership, called Platinum Mastermind, costs $15,000 upfront and an additional $300/month. Granted, it does provide a lot of valuable information along with that, but you have to ask yourself – what else could I get for $15k? For a full breakdown of the costs, we are not going to look on the sales page because that would be too honest for this type of marketer!
We need to look at the compensation plan for affiliates where the high cost of coaching and hundreds in recurring fees is used as bait to get people promoting. Don't forget, in order to make that $15k commission you need to own the $15k product, which is very common in MLM companies as an incentive to get YOU to buy more even though you're trying to sell.
What Are You Doing To Make Money?
The funny thing is that from what I can tell, it's a typical “build an email list” type offer. Build a list, promote make money products. Haven't I heard this somewhere before?
Update: Recently, Someone has also been trying to sell MOBE and MTTB under a product name called Done For You Profit System. This seems to be nothing but a domain that redirects these products. I don't know if it's an affiliate or Lloyd himself.
Short Review:
Remember that purchasing a membership does not automatically entitle you to thousands of dollars in income each month. In fact, it might be a considerable amount of time before you earn your first dollar – just like any other business.
In my opinion, the people that buy into MOBE are the ones that don't want to think too much about how they spend their money. They just want guaranteed results. High ticket products like this count on people's mentality of “If it's THAT expensive, it MUST get some good results”.
But are there any guarantees? Apparently there are some listed on the site, but talk to anyone that really tried to get one and they'll tell a different story:
1. You need to go through each of the 21 steps on the day it’s assigned to you.
2. If you skip a step, or do a step out of order you forfeit the guarantee.
Before You Buy:
It can be easy to blow threw a lifetime of savings in just a few clicks. Before you do, know that this is a controversial program. I receive a lot of criticism for my reviews because after a negative review I always offer a positive alternative. So before you go down that road, read the nasty comments about MTTB on the Warrior Forum (since the original publishing, the format of WF has changed and many comments were removed from that thread. Here's a new one), and slightly more positive comments about MOBE and MTTB here.
Here are a few highlights
- You have to purchase the products to promote them.
- You'll be required to travel to different seminars.
- The training teaches people how to promote MOBE products.
- The products are all high-ticket.
- Expect to be marketed to. Nothing is free. There will be upsells.
What I Liked:
You can make a ton of money from this program…if you can sell it. $15k is a hard sell, but if you can sell just 4 memberships a year that's a full time income in my book. I don't deny the profit potential of something like this, especially if you already have a list of interested parties.
- 90% commission rates for some levels of membership
- Matt personally drops into the forums on a regular basis.
- You can interact with other members.
- There are a lot of different products to sell.
What I Didn't Like:
The idea of creating an online business attracts a wide range of people. Some people are looking for location independence. Some people want to spend more time at home with kids. Some people want to be their own bosses. But I can guarantee you that most people who want to make an online business don't have cash to invest in an expensive high ticket product such as My Online Business Empire.
The products I promote here on One More Cup of Coffee are rarely more than $50/month or a few hundred bucks for a one time fee and people moan about that. Many people call me a scam artist because I don't offer everything for free. How many people are you going to find that have $15k to burn, and will believe Y-O-U, a person who is currently not making money online, that this is their ticket to wealth?
Probably not a lot.
Customer Complaints
There will always be disgruntled customers, so I try to take complaints with a grain of salt. However, when you are charging people thousands of dollars they are going to expect nothing but top notch customer service and results. Take a look at the complaints in the comment section here from REAL buyers. Here's one with a play-by-play breakdown of trying to get access to products he already purchased
Think you can sign up to try it, then get a refund? Maybe not. There have been many complaints from members who requested a refund but they either never received their refund or it took a few months to process. In fact, here's Lloyds response to some of the criticism he's received about his product
If you are going to be charging people this much money, use a little tact bro. This is typical guru behavior, ie mad because customers are unhappy that his product didn't deliver on the ridiculous marketing put together to increase clicks instead of be up front and honest about what potential members are spending their money on.
Do I rant? Yeah. But my blog is free.
Final Review:
No, I haven't purchased MOBE or MTTB, but I know enough about researching products in Google to see that there are a lot of unhappy customers. Maybe they truly are just complainers, but now that you know that your initial $50 purchase will put you in line to get upsold over $10k in other products with sketchy details on refunds and an unresponsive owner that tends to rant at unsatisfied customers…are you willing to put your money into this product?

Nathaniel,
I have been a MOBE member since June 2014 and I have nothing but good things to say. I went ahead and paid the MOBE licensing because I realized the value of what they were offering. I did have success selling MOBE products as well as selling products outside of MOBE.
How can you comment on something you’ve never purchased or never been a part of? You sound like the average online marketers bashing MOBE without providing FACTS! Here’s a fact, MOBE is not for everyone. I’ve been making money online since 2005 with EBay, Affiliate Marketing and more… The problem with over 90% of people who are looking to make a living online are seeking for the get rich overnight without putting hard work into it. That doesn’t work! To make money, you have to spend money and more than your average B.S. $37 make money product you find on jvzoo or click bank. If you talked to highly successful rich people like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos etc….. They would all agree on and that it takes continuous non-stop hard work, financial investment, education etc…. in order to be rich. MOBE teaches everything you need to be a successful online entrepreneur. As far as I’m concerned, your post is irrelevant and you are not credible to believe.
I literally said I haven’t bought the product and just offered my opinion based on what I read online, PLUS, I put links to positive reviews. I think you need to chill out.
How can you say what Bill Gates and Steve Jobs would say in this situation when you haven’t talked to them personally? Huh? Does that make your comment irrelevant and not credible?
I’m glad to hear you had a positive experience, but saying I’m “not credible” because I think something is too expensive doesn’t make sense. I could easily discredit you by saying you’re a shill, or saying you are trying to convince yourself since you paid 25 grand or whatever it costs.
I just put this post up to offer an opinion, my own perspective, and folks can decide for themselves. That’s also why I’m approving your rather rude comment, so I’m not accused of censorship or bias.
Well, I believe it’s a selling a dream product and because you have to be platinum to sell platinum and they do have many videos telling you how great the life it is for the people who are doing it. It’s a brilliant idea, however, ask yourself this question: are you just born to scheme others or are you born with some purpose? the course isn’t teaching you how to sell YOUR OWN information product but to sell a membership and spend money socializing and capitalize on dreamers. Basically, the way we make money online is a list – this is obvious. So just start to create your own product and start small. Keep selling it on the warrior forum or your own traffic source and start to build the list. Since it’s your list so it’s something you are passionate about. I would suggest starting a list on something you are passionate about.
You never seem to review anything completely. It’s always a very vague overview. If you really reviewed MOBE you’d know they sell memberships to nothing. So why not point that out? There is nothing tangible nothing of value.
I didn’t buy this product so can only give an overview of what I found online.
I actually went to one of the best business schools in the world and I am very impressed with the $49 intro course. Just the book recommendations and insights into stages of operating a business are probably worth that amount, given what he presents. I was skeptical but I am signing up for the first two courses and am thinking I’ll just do the whole thing.
MOBE IS A PONZI SCHEME. THE TOP PLAYERS WILL END UP IN PRISON
I had signed-up for your Affiliate Marketing course at the Aug 9th event in McLean, VA. I was told I could cancel the agreement if I called prior to the end of three business days. I cancelled by Contacting the number & email on the contract.
I later received calls from the company asking what I thought about the seminar. I told the representative that I had cancelled by calling & emailing the numbers given. I was told to call again. I stated I had already done that.
I was called prior to the class & asked about the rest of the money & if I would be attending the class. I stated I called prior about cancelling & wanted a refund. I was given the support email & no help.
I have contacted the support email & an look in at starting a class-action suit. Mobe was informed numerous times before they cashed my check I legitimately cancelled & took the money anyway. I am sure I am not the only one scammed. I plan on getting together others that are in the same situation. If you are please contact me above. I am DeDe Mandrell & I am a Disabled Veteran & don’t need this aggravation.
I found out I had been signed up for 21 Steps without my approval. I asked for a refund & was denied even though I followed the steps on the invoice – as shown & told I could do at the seminar. I was totally ripped off since I didn’t give permission & was miss informed.
