What Is It?
A membership site that teaches basic internet business skills.
I was unable to buy because none of my credit cards would allow me to purchase. From what I read in other reviews, this is a legit training center, but their content is seriously out of date.
Before You Buy
Minus all the hype, Internet Income Academy seems to be really about learning online marketing. I can't say for sure because they wouldn't let me inside, but I still hope to form an opinion on this product that will allow you to make an informed buying decision.
Their purchase process did not really instill confidence in me, and I did think for a few minutes on whether I would actually want to hand over my credit card to these people. Their buying page had a real amateur feel to it.
In my research, I also found numerous errors on their site, which means that it's probably rarely (if ever) updated. I don't see any reason to pay a monthly fee for a company that can't even update their website and/or training.
What I Liked
If this is your first adventure into online business you may not notice this, but there are no annoying sales videos, no hyped income claims, , and no talk of “ultra secret strategies” that you typically get from gurus.
And though this is second hand knowledge, the reviews I read (the legit ones) said that the training inside was pretty good.
There should be a community as well, where you can ask questions via the forum or private message. Apparently this is not every active, but something is better than nothing. Some other places with active communities would be the Online Marketing Academy and Chris Farrell Membership, both of which are far more up to date than Internet Income Academy.
What I Didn't Like
As mentioned above, there were tons of errors in the pages I found in Google. Maybe these are non-updated parts of the site, but in addition to the design looking like something from early 2000's, I'm pretty sure this is a crumbling company.
In some of the videos I found, it kept telling me to upgrade Flash. I checked, and Chrome updates flash automatically. I checked Firefox too. No dice. I even double checked the Adobe site for Flash Player and Shockwave, both of which were running the newest versions, and working in their test area.
This doesn't bode well for the video training inside the members area.
Lack of Activity
The blog hasn't been updated for 2 years. The site contains errors. From other reviews it sounds like the forum itself is pretty sparse with activity, so what's the point of paying the monthly fee? If I can't contact the owners or get help from other members, where's my $27 per month going to?
Out of Date
Even if you don't mind a bit of a ghost town, think about the training! There have been a lot of changes over the past couple of years, and there are still a lot of people out there giving bad advice on how to run a successful business. Are you sure you can trust this training to be updated regularly?
Some damage can't be undone to your site, so it's important to have trustworthy mentors from the beginning.
Better Options Out There
The fact is, this is not the online internet marketing training center out there. I mentioned two above, but my #1 recommended course (below) is part of a thriving community where hundreds of people blog, ask questions, and share answers every single day.
The membership site I mentioned as my top rated training center not only has the best and most up to date training, but it also has the biggest community of affiliate marketing newbies on the net. It's where I provide 1-on-1 support for the training, and it's where I recommend anyone serious about starting an online business take their first steps.
In fact, they offer a 7 day membership for free so you can see what their training and support is all about.
