Short Review:
Most of your money is going to be made bringing people into the IPDN program, not by actually by trying these products so I would classify this as an MLM pyramid scheme.
Don't Waste Your Time With This Junk. See The Training I Recommend Here
Before You Buy:
I'll admit that the introduction video seems honest and the presenter seems likeable. In a very down-to-earth presentation style, Jeff Buchanan explains that this program is free. What he fails to clearly tell you is that most of your money will not be made by testing products, but by referring people to this ‘business opportunity'. This is the first red flag that this program is not exactly as advertised.
Because this program and its creator are also mixed up with the Empower Network pyramid scheme, as well as provided a misleading presentation of what you will be doing to make money, I intended to give it a zero. However, Jeff is a likable presenter so I boosted it to 20. It wasn't the worst presentation I've seen.
What I Liked:
As I said before, the video is very honest and he even mentions the fact that you will not be a ‘success' overnight. There were not a lot of BS hyped promotions, and there were no upsells. I was actually able to access the program for free. I think this could be a potential way to make some money online even though it's not really a sustainable business model. If you DO do this, I would not do it through Instant Payday Network, but find the sources yourself.
What I Didn't Like:
Most importantly I didn't like the fact that this is actually just a secret promotion for Empower Network. If you haven't heard of this program, it's currently the 2nd lowest rated program on my site despite its immense popularity. The lowest rated program is called the Prosperity Formula, but the review will not be posted until tomorrow.

Within two days after signing up I had received over 10 emails from Jeff Buchanan and his MLM cronies promoting other systems. There is a saying in the business, ‘You need to love your list.' The idea behind is that if you treat people on your 'email list' well, they will turn into valuable customers for your business. This was not ‘love', it was email rape. It's a good thing I didn't use my real email address.
After digging around, I got quite lost in a few different cross promotions from Jeff and his buddies. I cannot recommend any product related to him.
* Also note that there are many fake reviews posted on YouTube. Notice how no one really tells you what the product is or what you are getting into. They say stuff like “click the link below to find out”. This is either because they do not understand what they are promoting or have not tried the program long enough to explain it very well or give any real world examples of how they made money.
[Update] Another thing I really dislike is the swarms of promoters that troll my blog trying to prove me wrong. This product is junk in my opinion, and is certainly not worth anyone's time or effort (or money if you count the back-end upsells).
Who Is This Product For:
Getting paid to try products and services is something you could do as a hobby or for a few extra dollars on the site. Not all programs pay, and most don't pay very well. This is not a way to make ‘good money' on the internet. Even if you decide that you would like to do something like this, the Instant Payday Network is not something you want to get involved in.
[Update] There was some confusion in the comments about what IPDN actually has you do, but I've double checked. “Trying products” is vague, so I don't mean that these fortune 500 companies will be sending you cool little gadgets to test out. Whatever they have you doing will be 100% online. Also, I only mean that this is what they tell you you will be doing. Most of the money in this program is made by reselling the ‘opportunity' as I mentioned above.
Instant Payday Network is a shady product. They're sales page is over hyped, and they do not deliver high quality content. What's worse is that they make you jump through hoops and get you involved with email marketing lists that try to promote even MORE products to you. Avoid companies like this.
I really don't want to ruin an unbiased review by recommending a service, but I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't tell you how I started my business. It's a training center, NOT a get rich quick scheme, and NOT a simple PDF guide or series of videos. It's a community of REAL people just like you, and it's currently ranked #1 of all my reviews.
Final Review
Whatever type of product you decide to promote, it's VITAL that you generate leads to grow your business.
But let's face it, "parties" are boring, and no one likes the annoying Facebook friend who's always promoting a biz-op.
That's why I use this lead generation system. Learn how to generate leads outside of your circle of friends and family and discover what it means to truly own your own business, rather than just be a cheerleader for one network marketing company.

I guess i dont understand what is shady about the program. Everything mentioned in the videos is true there are no hidden costs or upsells that you have to buy in order to make the system work and actually work, there are no monthly fees.. So I guess to me it about as honest and forth coming as you can get online from my experience. You sign up for 1 or 2 trail offers 1 time and get a lifetime membership that gives you a complete system that you can market and make money with.
There are SOOOOO many hidden costs! When you sign up for ‘trials’ some come with a time limit and you have to cancel before the trial ends. If you forget, then you have to pay money.
Hey Nathaniell, i just wanted to say that i love WA because you get something that you don’t get from these scams such as IPDN, you learn actual skills such as marketing and learning to write creative content and build traffic. That right their is worth any price and $47 a month is a steal, its like going to business school for that price.
I decided to try IPDN because a friend of mine sent me an e-mail and described it like a miracle. However, i was already a member of WA and have done most of the training Kyle offers, so as you can imagine i already knew it was a scam just from wording and explanation in the intro video. Despite this i keep on going just to find out about all this hype and immediately i encountered the first problem.
Most of these so called “free trials” aren’t actually free. If you actually read the description about 95% of them require you to actually subscribe or buy something to get the credit, and the other 5% do not have enough credit for you to reach the requirement. As advertise in the video by Jeff you could cancel the trial subscription before they charge you right? Wrong! In my experience these companies make it impossible for you to cancel the trial, sometimes you even have to call them and as soon as you tell them what you called for they make you wait on hold forever or put some sort of obstacle in you’re way.
Now I’ve seen some hate towards people who actually say the truth about this scam, as you do in this article, and i always hear the same things, it is a legit business because it works with fortune 500 companies. And to those people i will always impose the same question, do you think that just because they are fortune 500 companies they wont scant you? Heck half of these companies never actually provide what they advertise there is always a catch. I told my friend to stay away from it and i advise everyone to do the same.
Thank you for your honest comment and for sharing your experiences with us Ariel! You are right that although WA’s premium membership is not free (their starter membership is free), the price you pay for excellent education is really good. Best of all, they are up front about what it costs and what you will be doing to earn money.
Personally, I think most of the “hate” from IPDN people is the folks that are promoting it, and trying to protect their brand. You don’t see me trolling around for negative WA reviews do you? Because I’m not really that bothered what other people say about it, as long as I enjoy my membership and learning what they teach.
Catch you later!
Hi, I joined IPDN a while back and did actually make some money, however, I got the impression that they didnt like any feedback on what might be disadvantageous to new members. One guy posted a message on the facebook page concerning the capture pages provided. In my opinion, the guy was making a genuine post. He didn’t criticize the programme itself, in fact quite the opposite. He simply stated that the wording of the capture pages didnt fool people any more. The pages consisted of large amounts of income in short spaces of time. The guy mentioned that this type of thing is now no longer effective and should be updated to something more modern. The response that materialised was to threaten anyone who posted negativity would be banned off the group and that the more successful members used the same capture pages including the founder. So I decided to check out the capture pages of these more experienced members and discovered that none of these people used any of the provided capture pages and didnt use large sums of money to lure people in. I decided to stop the programme because it seemed these people were using more modern pages to get conversions then providing nonsense to prevent new members taking their potential leads.
Thanks for chiming in Dave. It’s always great to hear what it’s like “from the inside”. You are spot on the pre-made cookie cutter forms like that rarely convert well!
I appreciated reading the comments from both sides of the issue. I just signed up for IPDN and the draw was to have something I can do from home without costing me much to start. I am still looking for an at-home business I can really ENJOY, but haven’t hit on it yet. Thanks for posting comments from all angles.

Hello,
I signed up two weeks ago. Clearly not free. Did the two steps and was directed to the “private/closed group” on Facebook. What an unprofessional environment and extremely poor quality training videos. Just awful. The main posters are obnoxious who talk about everything except helpful advice. This is a group I will not associate with. Their tactics are unethical and the program is just another scam. Finally, much of the information is outdated and written with many typos.
Thanks for the update Donna. It sounds like they haven’t changed much.
Hi. I wanted to say that I signed up for instant payday and they sent me an email with a link to a page where it talks about the necessity of traffic and then goes on and on with seemingly endless hype about how great there traffic getting system supposedly is and how its supposedly the best, just repetetive hype and I got so tired of reading it that I just stopped and turned it off before getting to the end or the part that says how much it costs. I was so turned off by it by then and dissapointed that it wasnt “free” after all and another crock of bullshit that pretends to be free when it really ISNT ! Then when I sent an email to the person who was supposed to be my coach about the fact it says its free but really isnt I got no reply about that, even though he’d been replying to my emails before that ! Then several days later when I sent him an email telling him I wanted to sign up for the new system theyre coming out with which is connected to Empower Network, which is being offered for “free” for a short time, then charged for a little later on, he said, what exactly are u looking for Tom, sounding like he didnt like the fact I had said I was dissapointed that they said IPDN was free but really wasnt, which was bit insulting. Anyway im not real pleased with it so far, obviously ! However, im really enjoying WealthyAffiliate and am very glad i found it ! Thx. Tom
This type of support is typical of these companies. All is good in the hood until you actually pay the money to join, then your sponsors/uplines/referrers are nowhere to be found. I don’t believe that learning internet marketing should be free, but I do believe that a company should be honest about what a person can expect to pay, and what they will be getting for their money!
Hi Nathaniell,
I signed up for both IPDN and Empower Network not too long ago and I’ve gotta tell you I HAVE NEVER FELT SO HUSTLED IN MY LIFE. In fairness I have to say that there is definitely money to be made with these but it has been a problem for me because their “back office training” tactics encourage dishonesty, deception, and flat-out lies by learning to “mask” their links under the cover of your own blog site address to keep you from being flagged on Craigslist and Youtube. They encourage posting fake reviews of other products to give you a place to post your own promo links. I have not made a dime because I have not been able to bring myself to deceive others as I have been deceived. I mean, it would be different if they’d just been upfront. I really don’t know how they sleep at night knowing they make money doing this to people. I’m a mom of 3 looking for a realistic way to grow some “mad money” online. Would love some suggestions from you! *BLESSINGS*
Aaaaand, finally, someone that actually actually tried it. Lots of people criticize me for not “trying” these things before I review them negatively, so thanks for dropping by and leaving this comment. There are tons of fake reviews out there, and they are scamming people daily. It’s a YouTube invasion.
Mad money? LOL. Not going to happen over night. My main suggestions is to go into this looking at it as a REAL business. When business people start a new thing, they don’t say, Hm, I want to start making money next week. They set 1 year, 2 year, etc goals.
Anyway, my main recommendation is linked in the review, so check it out. I think you will find that affiliate marketing is much more legit than what these guys are doing.
I tried this product. I figured: I have time, it’s free and I’m internet savvy (not to be mistaken with marketing savvy). So, I gave it a go. I got 6 opt ins from posting 6 ads and a video (I’m so friggen proud of that video! If only because it turned out so good). I simply could not find an ethical way to promote this process. And process is exactly what I’d call it. It’s not a product or a system. It’s a process. You are in charge of everything except the automated emailing. You are even encouraged to “personalize” your emails. Now, I don’t mind the affiliate style marketing. But it’s more of a MyCashFreebies affiliate than anything else. You’re not really working for IPDN (unless they own MCF as well). You’re not even working for EN (see previous).
I absolutely love WA, but can’t afford the $47 a month, so I’m trying to find a way to take my exported blog and start it somewhere for free. I made too much progress in my introductory month to give up hope now. I’m even working on my first ebook related to my niche. The idea of building the site and selling it is a tasty prospect too, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Anyhow, I think the 20 points you gave are fair, but this program isn’t a program. It’s a process. 🙂

I’m going to save my readers from this absolutely misleading information you wrote here Maria. If you were so internet savvy and successful, you would know that I will not approve a backlink to your website when you spam my blog with your link. And I wonder, if you were making “thousands upon thousands” of dollars from your system, why would you waste your time commenting on your blog. You should be retired on a Costa Rican beach.
People do not need to be lied to with lines like “trust me it’s sexy, quick and efficient. Most importantly, it fills YOUR royal pockets with gold”
Really? Is that how you want to represent yourself online? Would you make your own mother pay 5 grand to join these systems? I certainly wouldn’t. And that’s where so many of these programs go wrong. They forget that there are real people, some in financial trouble at the end of these vicious upsells and marketing funnels.
I welcome varied opinions, as you can see from other comments on this post, and others. But I refuse to allow snake oil salesman attempt to deceive my readers.
…and one last thing, stop trying to compare regular businesses to pyramid schemes. They are not the same thing. You have been lied to by programs like the ones you are involved in. McDonalds and Apple are NOT the same as a Ponzi scheme.
My husband has been losing sleep the countless hours he’s been posting ads
for ipdn, and he was wanting me to help him. I know he made the $25 & he said he’s made about $140 but all the countless hours of hard work for $140…not worth it in my opinion. :-(….
This is for Kevin and Nathaniell. I wanted to chime in on the subject. I know Jeff personally and he is a good friend of mine. Let me assure you that all the income claims are true and that 12k his first month plus 50k with Empower are real. He spends about 5k monthly on traffic so it wasn’t from some mythical “list”. This is a “biz-op” and needs to be placed in that category. This is not a “how to make money online” product. I have personally used Instant Payday network and made about 20k in about a year using mostly free methods. But you are right this is basically a funded proposal for EN. On the other hand it helped a lot of people make money for the first time online without breaking the bank 🙂 So I hope this helps a little with your SEO for this post 😉 Keep it real bro hit me up on facebook [removed] would love to connect.
So, I’m confused, was his money made by using IPDN? Or was is made by promoting IPDN like all the spammers are doing on YouTube? Or was it by promoting EN. The issue at hand is not that you can or can’t make money. The issue is the deception he uses to promote various his products. IPDN is free, but it’s because you can’t make much money by testing those products. The real money is made by getting other folks into the instant payday network, hence, it’s a pyramid scheme. And the real money is made by joining Empower Network, which is an even worse idea, with less than 1% of folks making more than $500.
The fact that Jeff makes money is irrelevant. His marketing tactics are shady, his product is low quality, and roping people into a pyramid scheme is a lowly thing to do.
Thank you kevin, for clearing that up a bit. I have been with IPN for about 6 weeks and can see right through the methods used. But I do think It is a good way…like you said to keep the pizza money coming in. I do agree with Nate that I would not chose to go to the ” 4th step” and that the time it takes to promote for them you could be doing it for yourself. But I do have to say that the info they give you is laid out so that a person that have NO idea about affiliate marketing could, if they are paying attention, and reading between the lines, learn quite a bit without having to buy a “work at home program” and then go on to do whatever they want. My 2 cents.
my name is alene and i am unemployed, got kids and would love to find a real job working from home. so far, i have not invested in any online business or job without checking them out first. instant payday network sounded good until i did this quick research and found your site and information. is there any real jobs, or businesses with free or low cost investment, that you can do that will really pay off? i would love to be at home for my kids and still have a dependable income. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thank you for your time and God bless.
Hi Alene,
Yes, there are legitimate ways to make money online, and there are companies that really care about your success. One such company is my #1 rated product, which you can find a review of in the main menu bar, or within the body of text of this review. Thanks for the comment, and let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Hey Nathaniell – thanks for your follow-up comment. I just want to share a few things to help answer some of your questions.
You don’t get paid to try products. I wish you would! That’s so easy to do. It may say that in one of the videos but that’s just not true. It may have been true at one time. I don’t know about that. Now, when someone new joins the system (for free – as they like to shove down your throat) they sign up for what I call modules or programs. Step 1 is the Express program. In order to start making money, you need 1 credit. To get a credit, you may….get your free credit score. Done. You’ve got your credit, now you can get others to do exactly what you just did and the company pays you $25 within 24 hours. New members never pay you, just as you never paid anyone else. All your pay comes from the networ of Fortune 500 companies. I have made that and been paid that in less than 24 hours to my PayPal account. Now, if you want to make more, you do step 2, the Double program. However, it’s not double the money, which confused me. Express pays $25 and Double pays $33.
It’s not an mlm. You get paid only once for new sign-ups and that’s it. You don’t make any money from their business. Jeff explains in the video that if you complete step 4 (joining Empower Network) then there are residuals (mlm). But just doing steps 1 and 2 of the business, there are no residuals or mlm opps.
Like I said previously, I also joined Instant Rewards Network (before IPDN) and so far I’ve made $140 (7 x $20) for people who signed up for Step 1 “Starter” program. Step 2 in this network is called “60” and that’s what you make, $60.00 per person that completes Step 2. But like IPDN, that’s it. Once you are paid for a new sign-up, that’s all you get from the network (the Fortune 500 companies pay you indirectly). It’s not an mlm either and they don’t have a step 4 because they are not associated with Jeff or Empower Network.
Maybe that’s why I get more sign-ups from them. I am curious about that myself. I think once I start advertising the systems I’ll get more business. Right now, I’m just getting sign-ups from the articles I wrote, so I get a couple of new members each week. Hey, it’s an extra $40 I didn’t have yesterday, hahaha, and it pays for pizza.
Hope all that helps clear up some of your questions. Have a good one, everyone.
Hm. I’ll have to check out this Instant Rewards Network and do a review on it. I’m always looking for ways for people to make money OTHER than what I do, because I like to give people options. I still try to refer folks to some kind of affiliate marketing training because it works for me, but thanks for the tip – I’ll check it out.
And again, thanks for the detailed analysis of IPDN. I hope to see you around my blog or on social media again, I do a lot about how to get traffic and connect with your customer base, so there’s more than just product reviews! Good luck with everything.
Hi Nathaniell,
Your review is fairly thorough. Some of what you report is true. But, like you mentioned about some others not understanding the system they are promoting, I’m not sure you completely understand this system either. I am referencing these words, “Getting paid to try products and services is something you could do as a hobby or for a few extra dollars on the site. Not all programs pay, and most don’t pay very well. ”
You don’t really get paid to try products. Acutally, that’s not it at all. And, all programs do pay. I joined both IRN and IPDN to do an investigative report for American Family Magazine and ended up writing several articles on both programs.
You are correct in that Jeff pushes Empower Network but it’s so costly that I doubt too many people follow through. I have a hard enough time getting people to sign up for part two (Double) of the program.
You are correct about the hype. He shows his first month earnings as $12K but fails to mention that he has been working several years on a huge list, and likely gets extra benefits from all the members using his IPDN system. Plus, he “says” that is his first month but how do we really know that?
After making some money from Instant Rewards Network and seeing the similarity in the programs, I created a new blog site for it, thinking it was going to be the next best thing. But after being a member for about a month now, I’m not impressed. And, I haven’t been promoting the new site. I get about 10 to 1 sign-ups from IRN to IPDN so I’ve been promoting that instead.
I hate how the “wolves in sheep’s clothing” on Google scream, “Dont’t do it! Scam!” then 1 minute into the video, or two sentences into their article they’re trying to get you to signup under them. I did two “Scam” articles. The first on IRN where I truly was green (just signed up) for the article. And the other for IPDN where I do talk about the good, bad and ugly sides of the system.
And, I kind of got away from the subject of how you make your money on these systems. It’s not from trying products, it’s from selling that idea to others. If I were trying to get you to join, I’d say something like this, “Do you know someone who might want to check their credit report for free? If so, you can make $25.” It’s the actions of others that puts money in our pockets, not our own actions of trying products. And, it truly is free to join.
I hate when people put links in their comments on my articles at American Family Magazine. It makes them seem less sincere. So, I don’t do that. You can find my articles if you are interested and dig a little.
Hope this info added value to your original article!
Thanks Kevin, and you definitely hit the nail on the head here; your comment added some value to my review. I try to make my reviews honest and unbiased as possible. Of course, the fact that I am affiliated with some of my ‘recommended products’ doesn’t sit well with many folks, but hey, what can you do right? I try to steer folks in the right direction, which is usually to a community of like-minded beginner entrepreneurs.
Oh, and you are also right that one of the main business propositions of IPDN is to resell the system. This makes it an MLM, and I hate MLM. I would argue that the premise is what I actually what I outlined in my review…that you are supposed to sign up to try products and services to make money. In fact, some guy commented on my YT channel saying he made some money doing it. How much he made, how long he took to make it, and whether it was from trying the products or selling the system is still unknown. However, he seemed like a nice enough and honest guy (not some angry IPDN-head), so I feel I should include that here as an addition.
Thanks again for your comment!
Kevin,
Hey, I went back and checked because I was confused as to how I could have been so wrong about the product, but yes, the ‘system’ is in fact trying products and services. That may not be exactly where most of the money is made, but the thing they they are selling you is in fact trying products and services from Fortune 500 companies. I’m uploading a screenshot of the video in just a moment.
I couldn’t be more grateful to you gentlemen after doing a thorough research on instant payday network . Jeff clearly failed to explain to people with logic how exactly they were marketing these products because there seems to be a lot of steps before getting there. I was redirected to his website after clicking on the advertisement and had to waste just a little over 30mins of my time listening to him. He’s very well spoken and sounds genuine but if you simple can’t tell it how it is then you lose all credibility. It seems like a chain to me to me. You get people to your page, they click on it and get redirected to Jeff’s video where he explains how they sign up? Maybe I still don”t understand their system and that’s where the problem is. Thanks for your enlightening comments on here. It seems like there’s still a few good men out there
I’m glad you agree with me on that KWAN. He speaks in circles because if you knew the truth about everything before getting involved you would probably move on. I think it’s important to fully understand what you are buying before you actually buy. Obviously, Jeff has different ideas of how to market his product.
Nice content! I was on the fence about joining Instant payday. This helps
Yeah, this is something to stay away from. There’s nothing instant about it, and I’d rather get paid for legit work rather that what’s outlined here.
Hey I absolutely agree with you on your views and comments.
I was never sure about Instant Payday after I joined and the training was not great and it was not clear what you were promoting. I figured it was about bringing in a lot of people. They don’t tell you that other wise ppl will not join.
I’m doing something that has stability and that’s for the long term to a maximum of 20 yrs or so. Training is great and everything is clear.
Lots of programs are like this, but Instant Payday Network is especially like this. TONS AND TONS of people promoted it on YouTube, telling you about this ‘one secret system’ that you can find out about if you click the link. Unfortunately, even for buyers, the secret stays a secret! It’s great to hear that you are now doing a training program that allows you to build a strong foundation for your business. That is the key to long term success online. Just think, in 5 years, you will be an experienced internet entrepreneur!
