Product Name: Income Black Box
Product Owner: Michael Matthews AKA Matt Bergstorm
Advertised Price: $49
Discount Price: $29
Upsells: $247, $147, $97
What Is It?
Basic, confusing, and incomplete email marketing training.
There are so many issues with Income Black Box, it’s hard to know where to start. The marketing done for the product is extremely deceptive and the owner has a history of producing stuff like this.
Inside the members are you do get 9 videos of training, but they are only about 5 minutes long each. There is so much information left out that it will be virtually impossible for a newbie to succeed with this course.
Anyone with basic email marketing, list building, or autoresponder knowledge will find nothing new here.
Before You Buy
The real owner of Income Black Box is NOT Michael Matthews. That guy is an actor, and we’ve seen him in other products before.
You can see from the image below that this actor was also used in Push Button Millionaire and Instant Traffic Commissions. Where are those products now? Defunct and forgotten.
The real owner of IBB is actually Matt Bergstorm. He is responsible for creating the products 2014 Only (a binary options scam) and possibly Emergency Cash Kit (known as Matt Berg).
Product launches are worshiped within the “make money online”’ community as great ways to make money. Many of the top gurus launch a new product every couple of months. But that begs the question, “If the first was so great, why do you need a new one?”
Also, know that these guys will try to sell you 3 more products after your initial purchase:
- Income Accelerator: $247
- Income Empire: $147
- Mobile Black Box: $97
What I Liked
There was some clever marketing done for the sales video of Income Black Box. We are told over and over how this product is different:
- No actors
- No fast cars
- No instant riches
And yet, that’s exactly what they attempt to sell you. “Matthews” even shows us a picture of his Mercedes after we buy IBB, and of course was proven to be an actor above.
Also, the videos themselves were decent quality. Audio was good and the information was legit. The course was by no means good or complete, but what was there was well produced.
What I Didn’t Like
We already discussed this a bit, but it’s worth touching on again. IBB really pulled all the typical tricks to get you to buy. They tell you that making money is going to be easy, on autopilot, and not going to cost you a dime. They even promise 6 months personal coaching.
But anyone who actually does email marketing knows that autoresponder fees add up quickly when you aren’t making sales, and building a list is not easy!
Oh, and those income screenshots? They mean nothing. Even if they were real, how much Bergstorm has in his accounts has nothing to do with what type of product you are getting. Please show us more about what we are buying and NOT how much money you make.
I had quite a difficult time signing up. Not only did I have to sit through about an hour of video just to reach the members login page, I was never sent a username and password.
I had to find my way to a password reset form, and from there register for the product. This is typical for ClickBetter products. Not a big deal, but still annoying.
Members Area And Product
Here is a screenshot of what you get inside the members area of Income Black Book
With the videos themselves, there are no progress bars, so you cannot skip videos or return to a specific spot. I have no idea why they would do this.
As far as the IBB product goes, it’s missing a lot of information. Most of what you get are basic ideas of how email marketing works. There’s no instructions on how to build a list, how to build a relationship with your subscribers, or even how to pick a product to promote.
In fact, the only step by step instructions on ANYTHING, is how to set up your GetResponse autoresponder, which I’m sure you can find a the GetResponse website or on YouTube for Free.
In a nutshell, what you’re doing is using the IBB website to host your signup form (email collection). You will then send promotional emails to this list.
There is absolutely nothing new about this, and this exact same product model has been repeated over and over again in previous years.
More Expensive Than You Planned
So you paid $49 for Income Black Box, but now you have to pay a recurring fee to GetResponse or Aweber (at least $20/month). Then, there are more ads within the members area promising easy money.
One of the ads is for a product called Done For You Profit System. This is actually a “frauduct” that just redirects to a very sketchy MLM program known as MTTB and MOBE (information in the link). The total cost of that program is over $20,000.
