Company Name: Xerveo
Costs: Not Stated
What Is It?
A health MLM with a strong emphasis on weight loss products.
Xerveo promotes a range of weight loss products, although there is little evidence that these products actually help people lose weight. The company doesn’t offer a lot of evidence about its commission scheme, but in general, it has a strong emphasis on recruiting others and earning money from their actions.
The end result is that making money from Xerveo is as difficult as most other MLMs. Additionally, you’re dealing with a company that most others haven’t heard of, so that is also going to make the process of making money more difficult.
The products from Xerveo are mostly focused on health, specifically on weight loss. There are a number of different products in the range, including protein shake mixes and weight loss energy drinks.
Many companies specialize in health products, but the real question is whether those products actually work. In this case, many of the products are focused on weight loss, although I did also notice a few anti-aging products as well.
The main page shows some examples to try and convince readers that the products are effective. For example:
I find testimonials like this frustrating, because they don’t really show much at all. When people are trying to lose weight they tend to make a range of changes, including changes to what they eat and to how much they exercise.
So, the people in these images may well have lost weight through Xerveo, but it wasn’t from the products alone. In fact, the products from Xerveo may have done nothing at all to help to help with the weight loss.
Realistically, it’s difficult to figure out whether products like this work or not, because there are just so many different factors to consider. Additionally, these products are typically designed to be used in combination with healthy eating and exercise – things that help people to lose weight anyway.
Some of the products, like the protein shake mix, might be effective. In general, protein shakes can be a good way to lose weight because people have those shakes instead of a meal, which decreases their calorie intake.
I’m less convinced about other products though. For example, a weight loss energy drink sounds too good to be true.
There also isn’t much to suggest that the drink would actually work. In particular, most of the nutritional components of the drink are the same as any other energy drink. The major difference is the use of stevia instead of sugar, which would decrease the amount of calories.
I also have no idea how an energy drink is going to make you feel full. There is certainly nothing in the ingredients that suggests it would do that.
Overall, there isn’t enough information to know whether the products are any good or not. But in general weight loss products tend to be mostly hype with very little support.
On a side note, there is one more slightly unusual set of products that the company offers, which is this:
I’m not entirely sure why a company focused on weight loss sells a type of soap, but apparently they do. To be honest, those soaps do look very nice, although I fail to see the connection.
Like many companies, Xerveo offers people the chance to earn money. Distributors join the company and then they can make money in two different ways. This is a pattern that is common across a wide range of different MLM companies.
The first way of making money is by selling products. So, if you sell products from the company you would earn a commission. This is the simplest aspect of a MLM, but it isn’t as good as it seems. This area is the major issue with the MLM model. While you can earn money by selling products the amount you earn typically isn’t very much.
In this case, the basic level of commission is 5%. Now, the company doesn’t say how much money the products actually sell for, so it’s hard to know how much money that 5% is. Regardless, you would have to sell a decent amount of products to make the process worthwhile.
The second way of making money through the company is recruitment. This is the main way to make money and that situation is the same for most MLMs.
Distributors are encouraged to recruit other people into the company. The people recruited then form a downline for the distributor. The idea is to expand this downline as much as possible. Distributors earn money from their own actions, and also from the income that people in their downline.
Typically, this occurs in a pyramid-like structure, but in this case, the structure is a little different.
This company uses a matrix approach for its commissions, where people are paid from a 2×15 matrix. The site doesn’t offer a lot of information about the process at all, so it’s a little difficult to work out exactly how the matrix works.
Nevertheless, there are still a lot of similarities between this MLM commission scheme and other MLM companies. In particular, distributors go up in ranks within the company. As they increase in the ranks in the company distributors are able to earn money from more and more people beneath them.
The idea is that distributors work on increasing their downline as much as possible. As their downline increases, so too does their chance of making money. There are also more bonuses from the company as people increase through the ranks. Realistically, to make a decent amount of money with the company, you would need to get pretty high up in the ranks.
So, it is certainly possible to make money through Xerveo, but as you can see, it isn’t as simple as it first seems.
Xerveo has a lot of similarities to other MLMs. In particular, distributors do earn money by getting a downline and growing that downline. Likewise, it is hard to make money without recruiting others into the company.
MLMs are interesting. People often get sucked into them because a company like Xerveo looks really good at face value – especially when you see the weight loss testimonials. But, the thing is… MLMs follow a model that is designed to fail. Without recruiting distributors, the money making potential is pretty terrible. More specifically, the model is great for the company, but it isn’t so good for the distributors.
MLM VS Affiliate Marketing
In most MLMs, there are some distributors that make a decent amount of money, but the vast majority of distributors make very little or nothing at all. In many cases, distributors actually end up losing money instead of making it due to costs related to purchasing products, starter kits, or membership dues.
Trying to make money through a company like that means that you are on the back foot the entire time. You are basically trying to fight against the company.
In contrast, affiliate marketing lets you make money while you are the one in control. You create your website, you pick the products, you review them and give your honest opinion whether they're good or bad. You have the ability to grow your own income and make your own business decisions. To me, those are some of the most fantastic things about the approach.
Whatever type of product you decide to promote, it's VITAL that you generate leads to grow your business.
But let's face it, "parties" are boring, and no one likes the annoying Facebook friend who's always promoting a biz-op.
That's why I use this lead generation system. Learn how to generate leads outside of your circle of friends and family and discover what it means to truly own your own business, rather than just be a cheerleader for one network marketing company.
