Survey Compare is a bit of an unusual case when it comes to survey sites online. The site doesn’t provide online surveys, but instead provides information to help users decide for themselves which survey sites are best. This includes information on how much surveys pay out and how long surveys take.
The site also hosts a list of survey sites that it considers to be the best. However, it is important to note that the site is based in the UK, so there may be better sites for people in the US.
Signing up for the site is pretty painless, and users are directed to a list of different online survey companies along with brief descriptions, reviews, and a ranking. Users can even click to read reviews about the company and find out what other people think.
It is a pretty streamlined approach and very easy to follow.

Survey Compare is a bit more upfront than most survey sites out there, which is a bit encouraging. The site doesn’t hype how much money you can earn. In fact, the site comments that doing surveys can be a way of earning spending money.
That is an important point. Most survey sites imply (or outright claim) that you can replace your job with doing surveys, but it really doesn’t work that way. Instead, surveys tend to pay relatively low and it often takes a lot of time and effort to earn money from them.
The site is also more comprehensive than most survey sites out there. This is an interesting approach because it means that the people behind the site are putting more time, effort, and money into the site than you commonly see.
Often, this is an indication that a site is legitimate or is at least trying to be legitimate. In contrast, you will normally find that scam sites have only one or two pages and no real content because they want you to buy into their hype.
In fact, Survey Compare even keeps to their promise of not charging for anything – which is extremely unusual for this type of site.
…And The Not-So-Good
One thing that I find a bit concerning about this site is the reviews given for other companies. There is no real indication of where these are from, and some of them don’t seem real. For example, the image below is one review for Valued Opinions:
It seems a bit odd that someone would be so happy about the site yet only give it two stars. Another example is the review below, which is also for Valued Opinions:
For some reason, the review seems to be promoting MySurvey UK, which is another site altogether. This isn’t very encouraging.
A second issue is that once you sign up for one or more of the survey companies in the list, you are pretty much done with Survey Compare. This means that you have to figure out how to make money off the surveys yourself.
This brings me to my final issue.
Surveys really aren’t good approaches to making money. They take a lot of time, a lot of effort and pay barely anything. Yes, you can earn spending money through them, but most of the time that is something like $20 to $40 every few weeks.
To make matters worse, it might take you more than ten hours to earn that much. Because of this, surveys are rarely ever worth the effort.
If you want to make money online, surveys are never really a good way to go. All you are doing is spending a lot of time to earn relatively little money. You are also completely reliant on the companies that you are doing surveys for.
This isn’t a particularly good situation, because a lot of those companies aren’t very reliable. In fact, being successful in making money online really involves working for yourself – which isn’t actually as difficult as it sounds.
I make money online through my own websites and many other people do too. You can find out more about the approaches I take through my free email course and I think you’ll find that using your time to start a real online business rather than click away the hours on survey sites is a much more profitable use of your time.
