Product Name: Hangout Cash Code
Product Owner: Chris Cole + Mark Salmon
Advertised Price: $9.95
What Is It?
Learn how to make Google Hangouts on Air and monetize them in a few different ways. There’s also other info about brand development strategies that center around the live broadcasts.
Ten bucks is an excellent price for the information contained within Hangout Cash Codes. It’s a unique idea, and covered well in the PDF guide. There were some flaws, but they were not crippling to the overall value of what you are buying.
Before You Buy
There’s a lot to like about these guys and their product before you even buy it. Even though I found the product on JVZoo and read a promo at Warrior Forum, two places I strongly dislike, their method of marketing was fair and honest.
They did not give any astronomical numbers about how much money you can make and how fast you’ll see results. They didn’t give any fake testimonials, show any fancy cars, or scare you with a count-down timer.
It was clear what they were selling, and I knew what I would be paying for.
Even their “one time offer” for a $19.95 upgrade was relatively subdued, and was not followed up by subsequent discounts begging you to buy, as we normally see with guru-style scams.
What I Liked
Respecting The Buyer
Again, it’s clear these guys have their act together. For probably the first time EVER, my membership information was shows on my JVZoo purchase page.
This may not seem as a big deal to you if you haven’t dealt with JVZoo products before, but normally I have to chase down the product owners or an outsourced team of numpties to find out how to log in.
Even the members area was free of advertisements. Again, this might seem like not a big deal, but most products hit you up to buy more stuff immediately after you log in to their product.
These basic forms of respect for the buyer are not the norm in this industry, and that’s unfortunate.
The PDF guide, which is the main thing that your $10 buys was full of high quality information. Hangout Cash Code was well written, easy to understand, and truly did contain enough information to keep you busy building a brand for several months.
I personally haven’t tried this method of making money online, but I do use Google Hangouts every week. They clearly know what they’re talking about.
- Some of their good idea include
- stripping audio from recorded HOAs and making a podcast
- leveraging HOAs for list building
- how to use your videos for a members-only site
- …and lots of content creation ideas!
Best of all, they actually cover a wide range of example niches to demonstrate some of their points.
95% of internet marketers out there are extremely lazy and usually pull from the same stuff we’ve been hearing for hears
- dog training
- minor health problems (like toe fungus)
- make money online
On a side note, I have no idea how this dog training thing got passed around, but it’s the most common example used. Tons of ‘gurus’ don’t even test their products and just launch info products based on theory. I think part of this overuse of the dog training example is because they haven’t implemented the strategies they are teaching you!
The Q&A video was very helpful and the personality of Chris & Mark came through very well. I was disappointed to see there was only 1 session though, and would like to see more in the future.
What I Didn’t Like
Members Area Confusion
I wasn’t quite sure which ones of the links I had access to at first, and was disappointed to find out that the most attractive sounding titles were for “pro” users only. Actually, the link called Hangout Cash Code only for pro users, so I thought I was scammed at first!
Turns out the guide you have to click is in Downloads, then Hangout Cash Code Report.
Why would you call it Hangout on Air 101 but require an upgrade guys? Doesn’t make sense to me.
Resources Page & Free Bonuses
These pages were in pretty poor shape. The free bonuses were obviously some old content the got for free and are just giving away as filler stuff. Nothing was explained about what it was used for, and the vast majority of you will get no value from it.
The resources page was equally sparse, and though there are some links to helpful services, nothing was really explained about them. They were also affiliate links, which were not labeled as such. True, I don’t label all my affiliate links, but I also don’t charge people to access my blog.
And in general, the members area had a bit of “home made” feel, and not in a good way. I think a bit more effort or money to website creator could have gone a long way with presentation.
My only major gripe, and this isn’t necessarily related to the product Chris and Mark put out, is that HOAs change all the time.
As mentioned above, I do my own free Hangout on Air every week (Fresh + Coffee). Google LITERALLY changes things almost every week and it’s extremely frustrating to figure out which buttons are where or what features are missing/new.
I’m not sure how much longevity this product will have for two reasons. It’s tied directly to this Google service and they are notorious for giving the ax to their free services after a period of time. I also don’t know if they plan on updating the guide, because the HOAs of today might be way different from those in just 12 months time.
Good product for a fair price. I can’t complain! However, I think if you purchase Hangout Cash Code, you may need outside assistance or other products to supplement the training. I don’t believe this is a “one stop” online business training.
Phew! I haven’t actually recommend a product in a long time. I hate almost everything out there, so that says a lot about HOCC.
The main flaw I didn’t mention above was the lack of personal support.
Most newbies are going to be completely LOST and need a quick way to get questions answered. This is why I recommend the WA Online Business community to newbies looking to get started making money on the internet.
There’s less pressure than putting your face LIVE on air, and a much better support network for those that need assistance getting started. The premise of what they teach is quite different, but it works just as well. It’s where I learned (I do this full time now), and I offer my 1-on-1 for those that join through my link.
