Another week, another episode of Fresh + Coffee with Chris M. Cloutier and Nathaniell Brenes. This was a super productive episode. We really dug deep into local marketing and how to rank brand name businesses for targeted keyword search terms. Get a bit of social, a bit of SEO, and definitely get some citations.
I also do some crazy speculation about the future of hovercards in Google+, and why I use my Google+ profile URL when I make blog comments. Then we get REAL philosophical and ask where marketers should draw the line with sensational headlines. What's black and white, and what's grey? What's misleading titles, and what's just drawing in visitors with attractive titles? This is a moral decision, not just a business one, because misleading your visitors can destroy your trust and authority. At the same time, is it our job to help them reach our site (considering we're offering great value) in any way possible?
