The hype around DollarPTR is the same as normal. Basically, it is a site that is supposed to help you earn money online. However, the site is seriously unrealistic and suspicious.
One of the first issues with the site is the numbers. You get a $500 bonus just for signing up. Free members earn $100 for reading emails and $50 for clicking ads (paid members get double that). This is an insane amount of money for very little work.
Realistically, there is absolutely no way that the company would be able to sustain itself if it actually paid out that much.
So, what’s the catch?
Well, one catch is how much you can do in a day. Like most survey or offer sites, this site only offers a certain number of things to do per day.
This limits how much you can earn at a time. The other catch is the payouts.
For a lot of sites, the biggest catch is how you actually get your money. After all, it doesn’t really matter how much money you accumulate on the site if you can’t actually get that money out. In this particular case, getting money out is basically impossible.
To start off with, DollarPTR offers two tiers of membership, free and premium. Premium members can (theoretically) cash out any time. But, that’s not the case for free members.
You read that right. You have to earn $25,000 through the site to be able to cash out. That’s a huge number and it screams scam.
Large cash out values like this are one indication that something is wrong. Most people will never hit that number, so the company never has to worry about paying most people anything. For the people that do hit that number, the company has a few options.
For one, their terms are carefully worded:
The site doesn’t really define what good-standing means in this case. It’s basically a vague term that lets the company reject cash out requests from pretty much anyone. Often this comes under the claim that you were trying to cheat the system.
But this isn’t all, if you want to cash out (regardless of your membership level), you also have to pay a transfer fee.
There is no reason for a company to charge a $200 transfer fee. This doesn’t even make sense. I’ve never seen a single legitimate company charge a transfer fee like this.
Users for the site also confirm that they never received any money, even after they paid all the fees the company requested:
In fact, complaints against the site are common, and it doesn’t seem like anyone has ever actually earned money from it.
I also want to point out that there may still be a minimum withdrawal fee under the premium account, despite the site’s claims to the contrary. One reviewer commented that the withdrawal amount for premium users was $5,000, although I didn’t see anyone else making a similar claim.
If that’s true, then its another example of this company being misleading.
DollarPTC is supposed to be a site where you earn money, but it can easily end up costing.
For example, if you upgrade to the premium membership, it costs $166. Likewise, there is that $200 fee to cash out.
Additionally, the site tries to get you to buy referrals for between $30 and $250. However, the site never even teaches what the referrals do or how its referral program works.
All of this is pretty suspicious – and as I mentioned before, your odds of actually getting any money from the site are slim.
Is It Trustworthy?
Your chance at making money on any website is related to how honest and trustworthy it is. For DollarPTC, there is a lot to be concerned about.
One factor is the numbers. As I mentioned before, they are far too high to be legitimate. The way that the site is asking for a transfer fee is another very concerning practice.
For me, a bigger issue is spelling. This might sound trivial, but it’s not.
Professional sites take the time to make sure everything looks good. You might find one or two spelling mistakes, but never many, and they won’t be glaring. That’s not the case here, and mistakes are everywhere on the site.
For example, the grammar in the section below is horrible:
Likewise, they can’t even get the spelling right on all of their buttons.
Overall, you are risking your time and money if you try DollarPTR. There is nothing on the site that suggest that they will ever pay out.
