Company Name: Synergy Worldwide
Costs: $150-$300 + $100/month
What Is It
Synergy Worldwide is yet another MLM company selling supplements products with dubious health benefits.
Though there seem to be no real complaints about this company, it’s very clear that this is a recruitment based MLM and not something you should get involved in. They seem to offer nothing new to our health or the MLM world.
Actually, while looking at their products I was still on the fence about whether or not to give Synergy Worldwide a good review. They’ve got a high quality website, tasty looking products, and have clearly penetrated a ton of different countries around the world.
However, the more I dug into what they were actually offering and whether or not it worked, I decided that this wasn’t something I could really recommend.
To be fair, ProArgi-9+ did get plenty of good reviews on Amazon.
However, at $45/item when you could get a very similar product (also with good reviews) for $15/item, ProArgi-9+ suddenly becomes a very tough sell.
Unless this product produces amazing results, I think a lot of people will use it once, then stop.
I also looked up the health benefits of L-Argenine because this is a supplement that’s come up before with EPX Nutrition, also an MLM supplement company.
It turns out it’s not the magic cure-arthritis-feel-better-have-more-energy-improve-mental-clarity wonder drug that Synergy Worldwide has us believe. I’m not saying it doesn’t work for some people, but I am saying that there’s more to the story.
When you promote ANY kind of supplement, be careful! You never know what adverse affects it may have on your consumers, and if someone has problems related to products you’re selling them, you could be held liable.
Nothing New For The Diet World
With regards to their weight loss program, there's really nothing interesting going on here. They recommend a shake for breakfast, 30 minutes of exercise per day, plus a metabolism booster and appetite suppressant. Not only is this combination repeated over and over in the MLM diet world, this is probably the most common diet plan out there.
- eat less
- exercise more
- make healthier choices
I think what was most frustrating about the opportunity part of Synergy Worldwide is that I think they made it confusing on purpose. Instead of just telling people it’s $x.xx to join, they made a very complicated system to explain what’s required to be a distributor.
To activate 1 tracking center (a position on the matrix which directly related to how much you can make) you are required to purchase 150CV worth of products. (CV = commissionable volume)
Of course, they don’t give you an exact dollar amount. CV is usually the same as wholesale price, but not always, so we are left wondering exactly how much we must spend in order to qualify to earn money.
Furthering the complication, we have to order 300CV worth of products to activate all 3 tracking centers (to get the full benefit of the comp plan).
That doesn’t even qualify us for payments yet!
Our basic qualification to be able to make money on retail markups and basic commissions requires us to purchase 60CV worth of product. That makes sense because we have to purchase at wholesale price in order to sell at retail, no?
But to qualify for bonuses and other benefits of the plan, we MUST order 120CV each month, or get 100CV on autoship.
These are approximate cost figures, but we’re looking at about $150-$300 to start + $100/month to qualify for bonuses (the main benefit of any MLM comp plan).
There’s a full 10+ pages of documentation that explains how to get paid.
In all, there’s way too much emphasis on recruiting new members into Synergy Worldwide, and not enough on how to actually promote the products.
I truly believe that the reason that so many MLM companies choose health + wellness products (skin care, diet supplements, energy supplements) is because results are unmeasurable. Any complaints about quality, price, or effects can always be deflected by saying, “you didn’t use it right”, or “it doesn’t work for everyone”.
MLM VS Affiliate Marketing
Most people getting into MLM are really just not that into supplements. The eye cream, diet pills, etc are just a means to an end – financial freedom.
Instead of letting the business choose the products for you, why not choose the products and build your business around that?
The world of affiliate marketing allows you to promote any product you like and make a commission off of it. Build a website about a topic you’re interested in, and promote things that you truly believe in. No recruiting, no fake reviews, and no selling to friends/family!
Whatever type of product you decide to promote, it's VITAL that you generate leads to grow your business.
But let's face it, "parties" are boring, and no one likes the annoying Facebook friend who's always promoting a biz-op.
That's why I use this lead generation system. Learn how to generate leads outside of your circle of friends and family and discover what it means to truly own your own business, rather than just be a cheerleader for one network marketing company.
