Take surveys, earn money – does this seem like a familiar refrain yet? Survey For Moms is yet another attempt to get people involved in the idea of earning money through surveys. Not surprisingly, the site offers the usual collection of surveys, contests, games and cash prizes.
In fact, there really is something little odd about Survey For Moms. It feels like whoever put the site together didn’t quite ‘get’ English, because some of the phrasing is off (for lack of a better word). Things like ‘rewards at the end of the path’ really don’t make sense. Nor does saying survey instead of surveys in the site name.
This isn’t a big deal, but it is one indication that the site isn’t all that it appears to be.
The sign up process for the site is pretty typical. It includes choosing yes or no to a range of different ‘offers’ and accepting or skipping others. You have to be very careful with this, because it is sometimes difficult to tell when you are getting an offer or when the site itself wants you to do things.
It’s a horrible approach for signing up, because you aren’t really seeing free offers at all. Instead, they are links to companies trying to mislead you or get you to spend money. To get through the sign up process you have to choose no or skip every single offer that comes your way – and there are a lot of them.
To make matters worse, I got all the way to the end of the sign up survey and got this message (after skipping through more than 100 offers):
So, apparently the site doesn’t like it when you skip past its ‘offers’. That means it would be a guessing game to even get into the site. The big question is, why? Even without the message at the end, the process of signing up for the site is much longer than it should be.
In fact, if you do accept any of the offers at all, you are giving away your personal information, which would result in a lot of spam. Even if you skipped them all, the site makes it clear that it will sell/give away your information to basically anyone they want to. Given the site collects your address and phone number, that’s a pretty concerning practice.
There are hardly any reviews (positive or negative) for Survey For Moms online and honestly I’m not surprised. I suspect most people don’t even get to the end of the sign up process (I certainly didn’t) and certainly don’t do any of the reviews the site offers.
Even the Survey For Moms site doesn’t give any indication of how you earn money or what to expect at all.
Personally, I’m not even sure that there are surveys or any money at the end of the process. The whole design of the site seems like a way to grab customer’s data and earn money from the ads and from selling the data. Regardless, Survey For Moms isn’t a site to trust, as you have no idea where your data is going to turn up.
Making Money With Surveys
There is one other major issue with Survey For Moms, and that is the overall approach. There are a lot of sites promoting surveys as a way of making money, but they tend to hide how challenging the process is.
Most of the time, you can earn a little bit of money with survey sites, but it’s never a lot. Completing surveys also takes a considerable amount of time. Often you might be earning $0.50 for something that takes ten minutes to complete, and that’s a relatively high paying survey.
The truth is, survey sites are only really good for people with a lot of free time who don’t expect much return. Even then they are a bit pointless, because there are better ways to earn money without leaving the home.
To be completely honest, doing online surveys will never earn more than minimum wage. In fact, most people rarely earn more than $1-$3 per hour, if they are lucky enough to get a payout.
You simply cannot rely on this for income.
If you want to legit make money online you need to invest time into building a website and putting advertising on it. Rather than spend an hour trying to answer boring questions, build a real web property that you can earn monthly income from.
It takes longer to accomplish, but yields bigger results that last longer. Instead of adding a second job to your schedule by looking for paid survey sites, add a second income by building an online business.
