What Is It?
A WordPress theme that mimics many of the functions of Tumblr, designed to be used on independent websites to take advantage of social networks. The authors promote the idea of using viral marketing techniques, focusing on the use of images, over the more traditional approaches of content creation. In addition to the theme itself, the authors provide tutorials for some aspects of the site and offer support for some of the aspects of the theme.
Short Review:
A WordPress theme for social media promotion that may be useful for experienced online marketers, but is likely to leave newbies floundering.
What to Expect:
Covert Viral Wizard is not a way to make money quickly, and it most relevant to people who are already experienced at internet marketing. The core aspect of the product is a WordPress theme that can be used on an independent site to help promote traffic. The theme does have the potential to improve traffic through social media and involves some level of automation. However, the user must still actively develop the website and employ techniques for selling products and generating traffic.
In many ways Covert Viral Wizard it is little different from building a website using a traditional WordPress theme, although the Covert Viral Wizard theme is a little easier to set up in some cases. Through the theme, documentation and support, the authors promote how to gain traffic through social networks and the properties of the theme.
What I Liked:
The author does make a valid point about the popularity of images on social networks and the clever use of images does have the potential to result in increases in traffic, and potentially in profits.
The theme itself is intuitive and simple to use, which is an advantage to some users who don’t like the effort needed to connect to social networks normally. The way that the theme is designed does make it easier to connect to social networks, and can potentially draw more traffic for image-based sites than other themes can.
I found the simplicity of the theme appealing, particularly the step-by-step nature, which makes it easier to post to social networking sites, which is something that many internet marketers can find challenging.
What I Didn’t Like:
Practical but limited
This technique is a little like ‘putting all your eggs in one basket’. It involves an exclusive focus on social networks and promotion of images on these sites. While this approach is likely to generate traffic (provided people find the images interesting), whether this traffic will convert into sales is a different question altogether.
The authors continually promote the idea that users don’t need to write much (or any) content for their website to get traffic.
Have you ever been to a blog that is just images and nothing else? The author is right that images are shared the most and they can become wildly popular very quickly.
However, people tend to go through images pretty quickly, and for the most part, this does not convert to purchasing.
The problem with using images exclusively for selling things online is that you aren’t giving people any reason to stay on your website, or providing them with much reason why they should buy a particular product.
Traditional affiliate marketing tends to involve content that helps to build the site as an authority and promote why visitors should buy a particular product. When you rely on just images, you aren’t giving the user a large amount of information.
Not for Newbies
This product is not for beginners. In essence, the authors are selling a WordPress theme that is designed to take advantage of the social functions of WordPress and Tumblr, while allowing the user free reign to make profit without having to worry about the site being deleted.
For new users and people trying to make money online for the first time, this product will be challenging to use, because it involves buying a domain and hosting to get the website up and running.
While content is the most reliable way to get traffic, it is not the only way and is not always the most effective way. Viral techniques, like this product promotes, can be very effective at grabbing the attention of the audience, allowing sites to get a large amount of traffic very quickly.
However, viral content on its own will not result in a large number of conversions, and a site with just images is unlikely to hold the interest of the user for long. In reality, the tools offered by Convert Viral Wizard are a stepping stone for traffic and conversions and are just one aspect of a profitable website. Being successful with this tool still requires skills in building and managing a website, as well as the creation of some content (not to mention the images you are promoting).
Autopilot
Personally, the idea of any form of autopilot just annoys me, and normally, anything that is done on autopilot is not as good as if you did it manually. In this case, some of the autopilot aspects include posting through to different social networks each time you make a post and the placement of customer advertisements at the end of every post.
Certainly, there are some advantages to this approach, particularly in terms of time saving, but you really have to know what you are doing to start off with. Also, running things on autopilot can diminish your reputation as an authority. Using autopilot decreases the control you have over your own website, and honestly, spamming social media with content is not always the most effective way of getting traffic, as it can annoy other social media users.
Final Note
It is not immediately obvious from the website for Covert Viral Wizard, but the authors are not promoting the use of WordPress or Tumblr as the platform for a profitmaking blog. Tumblr and WordPress are fantastic ways for new users to learn how to make a website, but they are designed as blog platforms, not profit tools.
Because of this, both WordPress.com and Tumblr have aspects of their terms and conditions that discourage the use of profit-making tools (in fact WordPress forbids them almost entirely). This means that trying to make a profit from a WordPress or Tumblr account, then there is a risk that all of your content will be deleted.
So, to use Covert Viral Wizard effectively, the user must get their own hosting and domain name, which can be confusing if you have never done it before. There are some free sites available that can help with this, but you must be careful to meet the requirements and restrictions of the site.
Who Is This Product For?
This product provides little for beginners and is likely to confuse more people than it helps. For experienced website owners and developers, I think you will find that this theme has little value for you. A manual social media campaign will be much more effective.
Automation in social media is extremely obvious to the end user, so whatever initial success you find in using this unique theme will be short lived. $47 is a fair price, but I feel that Covert Viral Wizard will not produce positive results for neither the newbie, nor the advanced marketer.
Final Review
Covert Viral Wizard is a legitimate product, but it comes with little training, and it is unlikely to help people who are unfamiliar with internet marketing. The product only really helps those who are already familiar with internet marketing, and many of these people already have their own techniques for making money effectively online.
What Now?
People with experience at internet marketing might find this product beneficial, but many have found alternative means of engaging with social media that are just as effective. Honestly, there is some potential in engaging with social media and trying to create viral campaigns, but this can’t be all there is to a website.
After all, not all traffic is equal, and high traffic is not necessarily related to high sales.
Covert Viral Wizard does have some advantages for experienced users, but for people who are new at internet marketing, it probably does more harm than good. Honestly, there are more effective ways for beginners to make profit online, that do not involve nearly as much cost.
I would not recommend trying Covert Viral Wizard until you have at least a working knowledge of affiliate marketing and being profitable in an online business.
