ClearVoice Surveys is one in a long list of survey sites online, but is it a site that is actually worth pursuing?
As you might imagine, the sign up process involves filling out a survey. If you answer all of the questions honestly and fully (and you kind of have to if you want to earn money with the company), then this can take quite some time.
A serious issue that I have with this site is the validation process.
Most survey sites let you get started pretty easily, but ClearVoice surveys makes you go through a form of phone verification. Either you have to validate using a text message or you have to call from a phone and speak to a team member.
This may be to protect the company, but it is a frustrating approach, particularly for anyone without a cellphone.
The verification process is also used when you are trying to cash out. While this seems to work some of the time, users have reported problems such as the company not sending the required code or not answering the phone.
The Surveys and Payment
Like most survey sites, the surveys for ClearVoice Surveys are frequently long, often paying between $0.50 and $1.00 per survey if you qualify for the survey.
This can make earning money challenging, because you have to complete quite a few surveys to even get to the site’s minimum cash out amount ($10). Doing this involves actually qualifying for enough surveys and receiving enough from the site.
Unlike most survey sites, ClearVoice does pay a little ($0.10) if you apply for a survey and don’t qualify, which is something. However, it still makes earning money pretty time-consuming.
Additionally, any balance on the site will expire after 12 months, so if you take a long time getting to enough money to cash out, then you could lose your money entirely.
Another thing with this site is that they don’t pay out in cash or PayPal. Instead users only have the choice of gift cards or certificates. There is the option to use a prepaid debit MasterCard for payment, but even this is limited, because this has monthly fees associated.
A good place to find out about any survey site is a site called Survey Police. The site offers some basic information about each survey company as well as information from actual users about how well (or badly) the company works.
In the case of ClearVoice Surveys, the site scored pretty low at just under 3 stars.
While the site did have some good reviews, it had a large number of negative ones, such as this one:
Other people noted that the company sometimes sends out expired gift cards as rewards, that it takes a long time to verify surveys and that users sometimes get suspended for ‘fraud’ then they didn’t do anything.
Overall, there is a strong indication that ClearVoice Surveys may end up being more hassle than they are worth.
Surveys For Income
There is a huge number of different survey sites online, and ClearVoice Surveys is just one of this mass. The only thing that makes ClearVoice Surveys stand out at all is that you can earn a little money for surveys you do not get into, but the company has lots of other issues.
Regardless of whether you choose ClearVoice Surveys or some other survey company, it’s important to realize that surveys simply aren’t a good way of earning money.
Yes, you can earn $10 here and there from survey sites, but they will never be good sources of income. With the amount of time and effort involved in completing surveys, you often end up earning $5 or less per hour – and there is no guarantee that you will even get all the money you earn.
Survey sites are also a pain and they often don’t offer that many surveys. This means that it can take a long time to get to the point where you can cash out and you are often waiting around for new surveys.
That’s actually why many people end up signing up to multiple survey sites, because that lets them get more surveys. But that approach has its own issues, and trying to accumulate money on multiple sites is even more time consuming.
At the end of the day, doing surveys for money isn’t worth the time or the effort unless you are really bored and not serious about making money (and if that’s the case – there are better sites than Clearvoice Surveys).
An Alternative Option
For anyone who is interested in seriously making money online, the answer is to do so through a website. With a website, you end up earning much more money per hour than you ever could with doing a survey. Plus, you earn money more consistently.
This is why I recommend having a look at Wealthy Affiliate. It is a newbie-friendly training site that teaches people how to develop their own websites and how to make money online.
To be completely honest, doing online surveys will never earn more than minimum wage. In fact, most people rarely earn more than $1-$3 per hour, if they are lucky enough to get a payout.
You simply cannot rely on this for income.
If you want to legit make money online you need to invest time into building a website and putting advertising on it. Rather than spend an hour trying to answer boring questions, build a real web property that you can earn monthly income from.
It takes longer to accomplish, but yields bigger results that last longer. Instead of adding a second job to your schedule by looking for paid survey sites, add a second income by building an online business.
