Do I Recommend Bellachase Cosmetics?
In theory, you could make money with Bellachase Cosmetics but only if you had a large audience. For most people, the company has far too many ongoing requirements to be a viable opportunity, especially as they operate in a very competitive field. Instead, you would have a much better chance selling cosmetics through affiliate marketing.
What Products Does Bellachase Cosmetics Sell?
With Bellachase Cosmetics, the name alone makes the product line obvious. So, the company offers a range of different cosmetics and related products. This includes categories such as body, fragrance and skincare, along with makeup.
Interestingly, the product selection isn’t limited to products from Bellachase Cosmetics itself. Instead, there is a range of different brands available, such as the ones below. None of the brands are familiar to me personally – but I’m not extremely knowledgeable about makeup companies anyway.
The product selection itself is about what you would expect from a cosmetics company and would be appealing to the right audience.
For me personally, I find the brand approach unusual. There are around 30 different brands here, many of which only have a few products on offer. Many of these (like Viseart) are also fairly common and are easy to find on online. Some may even be available in physical stores.
Additionally, Bellachase itself just has one product. There aren’t even any images of what the packaging looks like for this foundation.
This style doesn’t create much excitement about the company. Certainly, the products don’t feel amazing or even particularly unusual. It would also be difficult to create a consistent experience for customers, as some of the brands are probably better than others.
In fairness, some companies do successfully offer multiple brands. One of the best examples would be Avon. But, Avon is a little different. For one thing, it is a company with a long history, so people tend to trust it. Additionally, there are many Avon-branded products on sale, as well as the various other brands.
But, more than that, Avon has an appealing selling point, the price. Many Avon products are inexpensive, while still being decent quality. This aspect has helped the company to remain popular, even with how competitive the cosmetics market currently is.
In contrast, there isn’t anything to set Bellachase Cosmetics apart. It mostly feels like the company is just reselling other brands – which doesn’t make for the greatest sales pitch.
Is Bellachase Cosmetics A Good Business Opportunity?
The first thing to mention about Bellachase Cosmetics is that the company is fairly new. It was initially launched in October 2016. So, at the time of this review, it’s less than a year old.
Now, new companies have advantages and disadvantages. For example, there are fewer other distributors to compete against, which can potentially make recruitment and sales easier. Customers may even be excited about trying out the products, simply because of the novelty and a fear of missing out.
Nevertheless, it’s always hard to know how a new company will perform. Some manage exceptionally well but many more fail. Without much history to rely on, any predictions of success are mostly just guesses.
For that matter, Bellachase Cosmetics is a new company in a very competitive field. This puts it at an immediate disadvantage – unless it can offer something that truly is unique.
The newness also means that there aren’t many reviews of the products available yet. Many potential customers may not have even heard about it either. It’s easy to see how that could make sales more difficult.
From a business perspective, these patterns mean you should be wary with Bellachase Cosmetics. There is still the chance to make money. But, the newness of the company does result in higher risk overall, including a chance that the business would collapse entirely or that the products won’t sell well.
Earning From Your Sales
To begin with, Bellachase Cosmetics lets you earn income simply by selling the products. Bellachase Cosmetics uses an unusual approach here – as consultants need to earn $600 in retail sales within the first 60 days of joining to be considered an Active Consultant.
That’s a high goal to reach, especially as many new consultants won’t have any previous experience or training in direct sales. Additionally, you only earn 10% commission during this period. That level is low compared to most other MLMs. Plus, there is considerable legwork involved in making $600 of sales in just two months.
For people who reach that goal, the base compensation rate is then 25%. This increases further for people who go up in the ranks, ending up at 35%.
There is also an ongoing sales requirement.
You have to sell $300 of products every single month to stay active. Failing to do so for more than 3 consecutive months brings you back down to the consultant status – along with the 10% commission.
The monthly requirements make BellaChase Cosmetics that much more difficult. After all, $300 in sales per month isn’t the easiest thing to achieve. You’ll also find that life is unpredictable. So, sometimes it will be more difficult to make sales, such as straight after Christmas. Likewise, you may have less time some months compared to others.
With similar companies, people often end up buying extra product themselves, simply to ensure they stay active. While that may be okay once or twice, the extra costs add up quickly.
And, speaking of extra costs… BellaChase does also have a monthly fee of $8.95 for a website. That website would help you make sales but it’s one more outgoing to consider.
The Team Building Component
Bellachase Cosmetics also operates through an MLM model. As such, much of the income potential comes from recruitment and team building, not just through your sales. The model used is simpler than many other MLMs but it is still complex enough to create some challenges.
In this case, there are 8 different ranks, starting from Consultant and ending at Senior Executive Director. The ranks come with various requirements, which look like this:
As you can see, each new rank means that you have to sell more product personally and your team needs to do the same. Likewise, many of the ranks require you to have sponsored a specific number of people.
These ranks are directly related to how much money you can earn. For example, the Consultant rank gives you a 2% sponsoring bonus on level 1 team members, while the Active Consultant rank has a 5% bonus. At the highest rank (Senior Executive Director), you earn 10% on level 1, level 2 and level 3. Additionally, the discount you get increases with ranks as well.
So then, it’s easy to see how the totals could add up and how you could end up making a large amount of money.
But… that’s only if you can build a decent (and successful) team, get to the high ranks and stay there. Now, there are many amazing stories out there of people who have done just that. But, there’s are stories about people who have won the lottery too.
Realistically, only a subset of distributors ever reach those high ranks and many more fail early on. In fact, some people invest considerable time and money into this type of company, to get nowhere. Some of those people even lose money in the process.
Could You Actually Recruit And Sell?
To be successful with direct marketing, you need to be able to recruit and/or sell products effectively. If you can’t do that, then the entire process is just a waste of energy. So, how realistic is the goal?
Well, cosmetics are considered an evergreen industry. This means that there is always interest and the products will always sell well. Additionally, there is significant subtle variation between the brands. For example, eyeshadows from two companies will often be slightly different shades or will have different textures. Likewise, skin care products will vary somewhat in their ingredients, as will other types of items.
Because of this, people do become passionate about particular brands. And, when they do find a brand they like, they will often stick to it. What’s more, there are many different types of cosmetic products and people will use theirs up. As such, people will regularly need to buy more.
From a sales perspective, these patterns are powerful. They mean that if you can get people interested and engaged in the products, you can create long-term sales.
Bellachase Cosmetics also runs off a party model. With this, you’re holding social events inside people’s homes and using these as a chance to make sales. These parties can often be effective and provide a good chance to get people interested.
Still, it isn’t all good news.
There is already an excessive number of makeup companies on the market and these do have similar products to one another. This aspect alone makes sales considerably more difficult. Many people will also be brand loyal. So, they may not be willing to start using a completely different company.
This competition doesn’t make sales impossible. In fact, you may be able to win over people, especially if you have samples to share.
Nevertheless, it’s important to take the competition seriously and think about what it means for you. For example, do you have a sufficient audience who would be passionate about new makeup?
Once again, be aware of the costs and requirements. The monthly requirements alone can be challenging and hosting parties can also get expensive. For example, if you want to provide samples to help promote sales, those would cost you. Such costs can quickly add up, especially if you aren’t making many sales per party.
How To Turn Cosmetics Into A Business
Cosmetics do make sense as an income stream. There is no shortage of interest in the field and the items themselves are consumable. This creates considerable potential for income.
But, Bellachase Cosmetics isn’t the best way to take advantage of this. Instead, you could start your own personal website and get paid for individual sales. This process gives you a much wider reach, without the same ongoing costs or extensive requirements.
Doing so also gives you a wider selection of products to promote. This would let you make money from items that are actually competitive, ones that people are already buying regularly. There are many different makeup and cosmetics affiliate programs to choose from – including some very well-known brands.
Bellachase Cosmetics may operate in an evergreen field but there is nothing to make it stand out as a way to make money. Instead, it is a fairly new company that asks far too much of its distributors.
Whatever type of product you decide to promote, it's VITAL that you generate leads to grow your business.
But let's face it, "parties" are boring, and no one likes the annoying Facebook friend who's always promoting a biz-op.
