What Is It?
Make money by blogging and using social media
Blogging with John Chow contains tons of high quality information and lots of informative instructional videos giving you an honest, comprehensive view of how to monetize a blog.
Before You Buy:
There's lots of hype before you get to the actual product, plus two upsells that you can definitely do without buying. Just ignore all that crap in the beginning and get to the members area where to goods are.
Really, I started out with an extremely negative view of John Chow because he pulls the typical marketing BS to ‘hook you in', but was pleasantly surprised at high level of quality of information he provides. I agree with him on over 90% of what he had to say in the videos. He is very honest, straightforward, and explains things in simple terms.
After viewing his product my entire impression of him and his business did a full (almost) 180.
What I Liked:
There's lots and lots of information, and it's very well organized. Navigation in the members area is well laid out, and there's videos to accompany all text. You get to talk to ‘John Chow' himself – ie he's not just narrating through the videos, he's speaking to the camera and explaining his system.
The course was very thorough, and I could definitely see people succeeding by following his instruction.
What I Didn't Like:
Upsells suck. If you want to offer product upgrades, do so after the customer has had a chance to actually see what they just bought. Also, don't lie to me and tell me it's a ‘once in a lifetime offer that will never appear again' when that is not true. I can simply look in my browser history and come to the same page later. I hate this kind of marketing crap.
On a less intense note, I feel his strategy for making money online is very much targeted towards writing ‘pop content', ie writing about stuff in the news, popular culture, and getting is spread on social media. This won't work for everyone because not everyone is interested in this. There is also no personal support for his product.
John Chow is also part of an elite group of internet marketers that come out with products every couple of years. They support each other, promote each other's products, share lists, and probably more secret stuff I can't even imagine. If you've ever heard of Jeremy Shoemaker or Shoe Money, then he's part of that same crew. DO NOT GET SWEPT UP IN THEIR MARKETING HYPE.
Who Is This Product For:
Blogging with JC is definitely targeted towards beginners, but could be useful for someone who's been around the block a few times but needs to get back to the basics. Though I am comfortable in my own marketing methods and do not plan on ‘switching gears' to another product/strategy, I was really interested in what he had to say.
I think pretty much anyone at the beginner to intermediate level of internet marketing/online business level could benefit from John Chows product.
Blogging with JC was pretty good, but it was still hyped, and he has since come out with a newer product. Marketers like this tend to break out a new guide every couple of months to keep the money flowing in.
But over the years my #1 rated training remains the same. It's the same training I used to get started in online business and it's the training I always recommend for newbies. After all these years, I'm still a member and use the site every day.
Most products like this last just a few short months then disappear. That's the nature of hype in the business of making money online.
The only system I've seen last more than a decade is the same place where I learned how to start an online business. They've been around teaching newbies to make money online since 2006. You can join for free and start your first website in the next couple minutes
