What Is It?
Backlink Skyrocket 2.0 is software that automates the process of building links to your website.
Backlink Skyrocket 2.0 violates Google's and every other major search engine's terms of service agreement. Therefore if you use it you can and will be removed from their search results. Since websites rely heavily on the traffic they get from search engines I cannot recommend this product to anyone.
Before You Buy
In the past, a website with lots of backlinks (links from other websites) would be placed higher on the search results page than websites with fewer backlinks. Search engines no longer work this way. They aren't fooled by fake backlinks, which is exactly what Backlink Skyrocket 2.0 creates.
Now, search engines consider a number of complex factors before rewarding a website with higher placement. Websites that use fake backlinks (automated or paid) are penalized and removed from the search results all together.
If you're trying to build a business online Backlink Skyrocket will destroy it.
What I Liked
7 Day Trial
Offering a short trial to new users is something i like to see. It gives potential customers a chance to see what they're getting themselves into.
So often with products like this one you don't get a trial period. Although the trial period is not free, at least it's an option.
What I didn't Like
This is a completely useless product for people who don't know any better. In some cases building backlinks can give a website a temporary boost in search results. Temporary isn't good enough.
I built this website with no link building whatsoever. When you have a good website people will link to it naturally, eliminating the need to go out and manually try to get links.
Virtually every product you buy online, especially marketing software, will have an upsell. Upselling is a smart technique that can help drive additional sales. When done correctly, the customer appreciates the upsell.
An example of a good upsell would be, when you buy a dog and then before you leave the pet store, being asked if you'd like to buy a dog collar also. It makes sense. The problem I have is when you decline the upsell.
Backlink Skyrocket takes this approach when you decline their offer:
This is deceptive and disrespectful. It's deceptive because they're trying to make you think if you purchase this upsell you'll be making six figures with it. Of course that's not true. And it's disrespectful to insult your buyer and be so damn condescending.
The sales page is full of hype. Maybe “hype” isn't a strong enough word – BS is more like it.
They continuously use a picture of a baby and tell you “how easy it is” to use backlink Skyrocket. Then they show you images of search results where they claim websites using their software are on the first page.
The images prove nothing. there's no way to know if that website used Backlink Skyrocket. And what's worse is the images they show are for uncompetitive search terms. If you look you'll see the search terms are localized, which means they are super-easy to rank for.
Security is also another concern for websites and online business owners. Hackers are out there and they're very smart. They find any weakness in a website and exploit it for their gain.
Often they find that weakness in the tools a website uses. I noticed this warning message from Google when I tried to access backlink Skyrocket's website for the first time.
Messages like that are scary. Especially when you're considering plugging their tools into your website. It's obvious they have some type of security issues. I wouldn't risk it, stay away.
Search engines play a very important role in any website's success. The traffic they can bring your website is among the best and it can be all that you need. Following their rules and staying in their good graces is part of building a long term business online.
Tricking them is not. There are many ways to build a website that gets tons of search engine traffic without buying or automating the link building process.
I know it's popular in the SEO world to think that you need a technique or tactic to give yourself an advantage over your competitors. Honestly, my tactic is patience. I wait for people use use junk like backlink generation software to ruin their websites. Then I wait for the impatient people to quit and the lazy people to slack. At the end of the year I'm the only guy with an honest, high quality website in my niche that hasn't been penalized by Google.
That's my secret, and it's why I encourage the newbies I assist to do too!
