What is it?
Affiliate Commission Authority is a crash course on affiliate marketing with a heavy focus on email marketing. It’s designed for beginners who aren't quite tech-savvy yet. It's an ebook that's divided into 11 modules that take you through the process of creating a website, building an email list and finding products to promote.
Affiliate Commission Authority is short and sweet. It strives to provide an internet marketing blueprint of sorts. It does not provide much in the way of advanced marketing advice.
But what it does provide is detailed look at all the basic steps you will need to follow if you want to setup a website and make money with affiliate marketing. By no means, is it a complete guide, but there are quite a few excellent tips scattered throughout this ebook. It’s a beginner-friendly guide that focuses on quality and long term success.
Before You Buy
You should know that this product is designed specifically for beginners; therefore, the first few chapters might not contain any information that will benefit you if you already have a decent knowledge of online business.
There's one up-sell that you should know about and three free bonus reports that require a email address to collect.
Up-sell #1: Massive Affiliate Swipe File
This upsell will cost you an additional $9. And it’s nothing more than a few swipe files for you use in your email marketing. What's a swipe file? Swipe files are message templates that are designed to sell.
Most people will hire a copywriter to create these messages but there are a few templates that marketers use which have been known to convert well. This upsell has a collection of message templates that you can simply copy and paste and use for your own purposes.
You can find swipe files anywhere. I wouldn't pay $9 for them, at least not without seeing what the quality is like first.
What I Liked
Affiliate Commission Authority does a great job of explaining all the basics.
Newbie Friendly Advice
Affiliate Commission Authority is not one of those products that briefly mentions some simple website design tips and then moves on before the reader has any idea of what to do. It's a well written, detailed, report that has a lot of tips that beginners will find very useful.
For example, the first few chapters are all about setting up a website: the required pages, the required categories, WordPress plugins, themes, pop-ups boxes, opt-in forms, email list management services, and much more.
If you follow all the steps, it shouldn't be long before you have an excellent website with money making potential.
This product really caters to beginners and provides them with a sense of direction; an idea of what a website should look like and how it should function for the end-reader.
Emphasis on Quality
William puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of creating a quality experience for your customers. Instead of a bunch of re-written junk like most internet marketing products out there, William advises you to take your time to create good content, find relevant high-quality products to promote and focus on the users experience at all times.
This is something a lot of products say you should, but very few of them actually do it themselves. Most of them tell you to provide quality content, and then — in the same sentence — tell you to use copied blog posts, or hire writers and designers for pennies. News flash: you can’t get quality for pennies.
William does a great job of explaining what it takes to create and/or outsource quality content.
What I Didn't Like:
There are a few things that I didn't like about this product. In general, I think it's a well-written report, but it could be better, and some parts are a little misleading, we'll talk about them in this section.
Email Marketing Advice
William teaches you all the basics of how to build an email list but he doesn't mention how important it is to establish trust with your list. The most profitable lists are the ones where the subscribers trust you and value the content you send them. Without that there’s no point in having an email list.
This is the one area where Affiliate Commission Authority fell a little short. In every other part of the guide William preaches quality and putting the reader first. Sending out email swipes is not a very personal thing to do.
An email list can be a valuable resource for you. But only if you treat the subscribers appropriately. Not like an ATM machine.
I feel like email marketing is a very intense subject that requires a lot of in-depth training and knowledge that I didn't get from Affiliate Commission Authority. My #1 recommendation for email marketing training (the ad copy writing part) is Autoresponder Madness. For how to set up your first email list, including how to make a squeeze page and collect emails, Income Blueprint X is the way to go. Check both of those reviews out and see which one fits your needs.
Lack of Support
Ebooks like this one are, by nature, lacking in support. It’s just an ebook, so it’s difficult to provide the type of support a buyer truly needs. And since this product is aimed at beginners, support is even more important.
There’s just no way any beginner can read one ebook, no matter how good it is, and come out with all the knowledge they need to start and maintain an online business.
Making a full time income from reading one PDF just isn’t going to happen, especially if there isn’t a good enough support network. Learning how to make money online will be a long and winding journey, so what happens if you get lost somewhere down the road? You can get my personal assistance and mentorship at no cost as a member of this online business training center, as well as the support of thousands of other members who want to see you succeed.
